it's honestly the best hunting game I've played in 15 years. Probably since the "Deer Hunter" series.

Those were some of my first pc games to crack out on in the early 2000's

Tbh it is buggy, I've seen deer get stuck in trees. But it's not very often. It's a good hunting game, and the dynamic weather is actually impressive. has a day/night system. It's good.

The Cabela game "Pro Hunts" is bugged and glitched tom the point of being unplayable. They will literally crash every time you load unless you delete your own save file and start over and the devs KNOW this is a huge problem but never released a patch for it.

I mean this is a pure hunting game, not a survival game. You can stumble across areas where you spend money to build a stand, tree stand, blind, etc. There are also log cabins you stay in to sleep/store shit at.

I wish someone would make a hunting game on the ArmA engine (or better) where you can fly or drive to your destination on a huge map. This one is close to that, but still feels kind of small.

I haven't played a good hunting game since Cabela's 2005, how is this one? The dinosaur one was just a big stretch of nothing with copy-pasted trees as the environments, and this seems like the same thing, with more pay-to-play garbage.

Don't aim for the head, you should be shooting them in the body, you want the lungs or heart, aim just behind their front legs, that's where the lungs are with most deer.

I wasn't aiming for the head. I was aiming for the neck. It was the best shot available and if I tried to flank it it would have spooked again.

desu I would just wait, from experience with thehunter 'classic' as they're calling it now if you rush a shot it rarely ends well.

Got a few hundred hours of it. If you buy the 30 quid starter pack thing you can do (nearly) everything but they get you with all the fancy guns and stuff you can get.

Waterfowling is a massive money sink too.

I got cucked, don't regret it though as I enjoy the game. Call of the Wild is shit though, proper pissed off, especially with all the XP and perk stuff. I hope they add a hardcore mode with none of that rubbish.

£100 for hundreds of hours of gameplay is not bad at all. You waste more money eating out than doing that.
