This literally doesnt make sense as soon as someone has any kind of physical contact with an asaari they will know if their features are real or just an illusion. So either this is bullshit or the alien asaari we see is the real one.

The asaari are sluts and have sex with lots of different species, it wouldnt take very long for someone to touch their face and be like WOAH WHATS THAT if their features didnt match their appearance.
