Thoughts on this idea?

I think it's a bit far fetched, especially knowing what we know about how online works, but if Nintendo was wise this is the exact direction they would go with distributing NES and SNES games

You can download every classic Nintendo game ever made easily in less than an hour, connect any official NIntendo controller, and play them on your PC for free. Why do people pretend to care about the Virtual Console?

BECAUSE MUH DEVELOPER SUPPORT

How about, and I know this completely far fetched, those VC games I've bought on other Nintendo devices transfer over instead of buying them again. How about not renting shit I don't care about either. That's what I want.

The devs who made those games most likely aren't even with those companies anymore, your money just goes to greedy publishers who don't give a single fuck about you.

why bother

nintendo is just gonna do what NINTENDO wants, nothing we can do or say will change that and i don't get why others care.

we are gonna get $X nes games, snes games and so on, if we have wii u, 3ds or wii copies then maybe get like a $2-$5 fee to "transfer" them since we STILL won't have a nintendo account system to handle this shit.

Because some people don't like piracy.

I'm kind of fucking tired of NES/SNES games since playing them so much on the wii, wii u, and 3ds virtual console
Just give us gamecube and wii games already

>some people don't like getting shit for free
Bullshit. It's more like some people have been convinced that it's morally wrong.

These are old ass games that are often older than the people posting here and you want to pay for them to be emulated on your console?

Who gives a fuck?

But muh piracy! I will gladly buy a digital rom for 7 bucks my money is better off with them anyways!

Thats a whole lot of "Won't be on the store due to licencing issues" you got there

just emulate.

Yeah, that's why the need to add some sort of community type challenge to this offer. Like a Daily Run or a Leaderboard of the Week or some bullshit to get people to check in every day.

Pretty much, offer a better service than the alternative.

Paying five, ten or fifteen dollars to play a rom. Kek. All the games I want to play aren't available on any digital stores and never will be available. That's why I emulate.

>Dude why would you buy a car when you can just take one for free!

I like the continence of having them on a console.

I would if I knew there was no chance of getting caught and the car I stole was instantly replaced as soon as I took it.

Thats such a shit quesitonm with no moral problems

The only reason why I'd buy them is if I can play it on a handheld along with any other games I currently have for it. If I am sitting it doesn't matter if I am at the computer or the TV.

No, that's a terrible idea.
Why would you want to pay a monthly fee to have access to decades old ROMs?
I want to pay a low price once and keep the game.
I recently bought a bunch of PS1 games on PSN for around $3 each. Most NES games should cost even less than that.

Most of Nintendo's old guard is still there actually, other than the ones killed by Yakuza hits or dead of old age.

Nintendo puts out maybe 1 vc game a month so buying every game they put out might as well be like a subscription service

>play them on your PC for free
To show there is a desire for them

>advance wars was killed by piracy/emulation
I'm in the dark timeline

just like emulating
