Regardless, you should never rate a game using numbers since they don't convey anything. Especially from most "gaming journalist" as they have no sense of objectivism. I'm not saying BOTW is a shitty game but I doubt it'll be perfect. I can't wait to play it and see for myself.

For everyone that gives praise to BOTWs open world but acts like XVs isn't good you can't take them seriously when BOTW is emptier than XV with less things and even less dungeons.

FF is a franchise that is largely recognized for its narratives and unique progression systems.

Zelda is a franchise celebrated for ease of access, exploration and atmosphere.

These two releases in particular have more in common with each other than prior ones, but the design philosophy of Zelda is different, it aims to please in different ways than FF games and especially FFXV did

10 is probably the wrong unit of measurement. Dark Souls is a 9/10. OoT is a more complete package. 9.8 would make sense, setting a benchmark, but conceding it's not perfect. But then, as the closest to a 10/10 there's ever been, maybe it deserves it.
