Disappointed with Fallout 4's modding community so far. Not even any good bouncing breast physics yet. Too many mods focus on settlements or building shit, pretty much shit I dont want to do in a Bethesda game.

It's barely a year since the Creation Kit got released, buddy. F4SE has fuck-all features to start fixing everything awful about the game, and it will stay that way for a while thanks to Skyrim SE.

Modders were able to tinker with Fallout 4 using the fucking MORROWIND Creation Kit long before the official one came out, thanks to Bethesda lazily reusing the same general code for years. A year should be more than enough time to know the ins and outs of a new game that uses the same engine, but the problem is that nobody cares about FO4 anymore.

Thanks to the dialogue system there's absolutely no way to fix the game without straight up removing all the voice acting and the main quest. The only way to salvage fallout 4 is restructure solely about exploration and resource gathering. More emphasis on gun crafting, survival and trading. Remove all pretenses of an rpg. Open world crafting sandboxes suck but as least Boston is interesting to sift through.

Did 1 and two have rape? I don't really remember. 3 had that one pimp dude with the slave girls who liked working for him because that's how those bitches could survive and NV was mentioned already

People still care, just not in the right places. There's always new guns and settlement mods but nobody cares about modding the actual gameplay.

More importantly why 200 years later is Boston in pristine condition, Wasteland 2 got the post apocalypse right.

FO4 isn't even done being updated yet, with shitty minor updates for console users that get pushed onto PC. Nobody's going to push out big mods and have them break every time a beta update comes out. Plus, loads of popular mods for 3 and NV are already integrated into vanilla FO4 which is why most mods coming out now are weapon/armor/texture mods.

Big quest mods obviously will take more than a year to complete, and animation mods are even more of a pain in 4 thanks to lack of support for 64-bit Havok. It's going to take some time.

Which is why I mentioned F4SE - every "major" mod will rely on the features that the script extender team can squeeze out of it.
