So who won?
It says "Play and Win $1,000,000", and nobody played Advent Rising
Nobody.
>tfw you could have sued the shit of the developers who made this game and have 1 million dollars right now
>less than 1% chance of winning $1 million
Or
>getting two pretty good games for free
Sounds like a worthy trade off to me t b h
>It says "Play and Win $1,000,000", and nobody played Advent Rising
I played Advent Rising. It's fairly popular so far as cult games go. Lotta people still want Chair to get the rights back and make a sequel.
Who won the island fro Just cause 3?
There was a sequel on the psp I think
30 years ago Swordquest series was trying to swon people over with Crowns, Goblets and Swords made of actual gold.
The contest and sales figures were a failure, no one won the contest, some sources say some of itens were put on audictions, or it just remains forever locked in a safe, or nothing more than the Sword was even made in the first place.
AVGN did a video on it
I believe 3 of the rewards were actually given away
the other 2 are missing
and it's beleived the prizes people actually won got melted down for the gold.
The winner could also choose $50000 instead so whoever won probably just did that. An island only worth $50k probably isn't going to be inhabitable anyways, it'd be like "owning" a star.
more then likely
its almost upsetting
I'd drink out of that goblet constantly
...
Got cancelled.
also it would probably cost that much just to get on and off it once
maaaaybe twice
I actually enjoyed Advent Rising.
Same, had a decent plot
The only scam was that the game never got fun.
Also, fuck ugly art direction.
They promised to make the winner a god in game and even give him profit sharing forever irl but they never gave the kid diddly squat.
The crown would be the best/worst gimmick for streaming/Youtube
A literal king of gaming
It's Peter Molyneux, disappointment and lies are to be expected
I was very close to getting the last whatever the fuck you needed to get 1 million.
Then I stopped because I thought someone already had it.
Then I find out it was canceled.
aw man, but those footprint sounds
...
Did you at least get your free copies of Phantom Dust and Psychonauts?
I wouldn't call it a "scam", really...but giving your everyone you've ever known in your entire life a notification that you are jacking off to anime tiddie is very considerate of them
>advertise $1,000,000 prize
>cancel it and just give the couple thousand people who actually mail in 2 game codes instead costing your company less than $50,000
Seems like a deal to me.
You forgot it was also scheduled for 6 titles
This was before the days of downloadable games, they probably sent out actual retail games.
There have literally been less than 10 crowdfunded games that were actually of retail quality upon "release"
Saves me some time t-b-h.
If what AVGN said is true, 2 of the items were won, the necklace and I think the goblet.
There are pictures of the sword and rumors that the guy who bought Atari after the crash owned it.
that many?
Well, someone had to post it.
Didn't he shill the fuck out of this game?
Did anyone win the action-packed trip to Detroit?
I think MN9 was less a scam and more a case of incompetence on every conceivable level mixed with Inafune's overinflated ego.
>RUSTLERS
I remeber working as waitstaff at a redrobin years ago and this really sorry looking old man was the dishwasher. He wore RUSTLERS, the pants not the burgers. I hope I'm not as lonely and sorry as that old man.
You never bought this game, user.
poor molyneux he just wanted to create magic
