Aside the monetary part, is there a reason for you not being an idort?
If I really want to play a single game that is exclusive on that system, I buy it.
I really don't understand the loyalty towards a brand.
PC is pretty good to play non-first-party games, every person that is not a retard see that PC is the best option to play a game when available, and that is the reason to own a powerfull PC.
Consoles have some good games, depending on your taste, of course.
Aside the monetary part, is there a reason for you not being an idort?
It's mainly monetary. People don't actually avoid buying game systems out of brand loyalty - people only have brand loyalty in the first place because they don't have 1000$ to spend on three separate game systems, plus the cost of a gaymen PC.
Shouldn't games be more important than money? What the fuck are you amassing money for if not to play video games?
I don't have a TV and I don't know where to put one if I got it. I suppose that is ultimately a monetary reason.
Unless you are super lucky most people who work enough to shrug off buying all the latest videogames/consoles dont have the time to play them all anyways.
I have a ps4 and 3ds and my backlog from that is so terrible already.
How much do you work a week? I do 40 hours a week and find plenty of time for games, around 3-4 hours every night. I still have a huge backlog though, lol.
I can undertstand this, really.
But why shit on the plataform that have the game you want? It doesn't make sense!
I agree 100%.
This is a legitimate reason to not own a shitload of things, But you don't fuck others for having the space, right?
I can relate to this, I don't have the time to play everything that I want. But what I don't want to play rigth now, is the backlog, something I don't have it yet. Why curse the one who are playing?
I don't know mate. When I was in college I had an hour to play videogames and I dind't played cause I was tired as fuck.
nobody have time to actually play ALL the games, so it is not so important to have more consoles.
everybody has to give up some games, and being convinced that all the missed ones are not good enough and all the played ones are the best is just stupid.
everybody miss awesome games, the reason doesn't matter.
i'm sure right now there are people here (me too) that have never played at least 5 of the best games ever released even if they have the platform or can emulate it, just because they don't care or think "meh, i'll play it another time".
so i don't get why i should be "sad" that right now i can't play THAT game.
i mean, i've lived 25 years without it i don't get why it is so important now, i can play something else...
>Shouldn't games be more important than money?
I agree. I'm not defending console war faggotry, I'm just explaining that kids who can't save up enough of their allowance to buy all three current gen consoles are probably gonna have some form of post-purchase rationalization that puts their choice above the other two.
>But why shit on the platform that have the game you want? It doesn't make sense!
You're right, it doesn't. People are stupid.
>This is a legitimate reason to not own a shitload of things, But you don't fuck others for having the space, right?
You mean besides on Sup Forums right?
fucking feet for hands
I don't like how you fucking idiots legitimized Ruggarell's shitposting by making this dumb hand thing a meme
Wageslave and uni student here. The only people who aren't idorts are broke NEETs or people who don't really care about videogames. Even when I work after 8 hours in college I still find time to play videogames.
>Shouldn't games be more important than money?
I...what the fuck am I reading?
You literally have no games. Those consoles are going to waste
Because who wants to be jack of all trades and master of none when you can have one system to rule them all?
You bought an Xbox One solely for a game that's on Windows and a collection that can be emulated.
That's why buying all consoles is a bad idea.
i have a gaming pc that's getting old
a wii u and a 3ds (bought those because there was more than one game that interested me on it)
you play 3-4 hours of vidya a night, yes. but thats also all your free time. if you have friends, other hobbies, comitments, family bullshit, pets, all of those "normie" things take time out of vidya and it sucks
there simply isnt enough time in the day
i could play many games for hours on end cause of campaings, multiplayer, stuff to unlock, then theres a huge backlog, but im also looking forward to new stuff, its a never ending cycle
Why buy piles of redundant junk to abide by stupid exclusivity contracts? It's the most mouthbreathing peasant thing you can do.
I'm part idort, I have a gayman PC, a PS4, and Wii U but I'm not bothering with the Xbox One.
For a TON of people I would say it's brand loyalty AND not wanting to expand their horizons.
Sure for some system warriors it may be monetary, but then there are others who buy most of the games available on a system regardless of how bad they may be (including multiplats, and multiple iterations of games like CoD, Madden, and FIFA).
For those people being an idort is much cheaper if you actually filter what you buy based on your interests.
This is a perfect example.
All of that being said, i've never seen a Microsoft console with enough exclusives to actually want to make we get one.
I haven't bought an xbone because fuck microsft. And I haven't bought a ps4 because we are 4 years in and it still doesn't have 5 exclusives I actually want to play. I have every other console, though. I've been really into my 3DS library recently.
Family bullshit does interrupt my time every now and then, especially since I still live with my parents, but it doesn't happen that often. Also that's not all my free time, I have five and a half hours of free time every night, but I need time to cook dinner and clean up or do whatever chores need doing. And I do meet up with friends once a week, but since we play video games most of the time, I'd also consider that gaming time.
And yeah, I have a ton of games I've dropped even after getting close to the end because something new came out. I feel you there.
I did this for Bloodborne, and I'm considering it for botw, but I feel like that would be a waste of money. Just because I have the cash doesn't mean I have forgotten the value of a dollar. Luckily I put 200 hours into BB so I felt the purchase was justified. I don't know if the same could be said about botw
>i've never seen a Microsoft console with enough exclusives to actually want to make we get one
Then I guess you don't know much about video games because the HUEG and 360 had plenty of exclusives worth playing.
The amount of hours you put into a game doesn't really have any bearing on its value. 30 minutes with a great game is worth infinitely more than 100 hours with a shit game.
Actually it's the best way to determine value considering I would put down a game I didn't like. I wouldn't force myself to try to enjoy a game just to get artificial value out of it.
>finally have the money and time to be an idort
>it's the worst gen to be one
my usual perfectly timed luck, I might have enjoyed 5 games total, anything else is "pretend this is good" tier shit and multiplayer dogshit
Good point.
This is true.
>i mean, i've lived 25 years without it i don't get why it is so important now, i can play something else...
Sorry for my bad english, I am sure that I fucked up something, but this is what I am talking about.
>You're right, it doesn't. People are stupid.
I am not trying to be smater than anyone, cause I am really stupid, but really, I see some hope on this place.
This is exactly the answer I didn't expect,
No, I meant on Sup Forums.
Really? Huh, that's a first. I am really ashamed of my hands. On the other...well, hand, I am proud of my feet.
I am not Sup Forums, I like the way he triggers autists just for being him.
AND THIS IS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.
This mate is better than I. Some people can, like him.
Why can't you?
I am not being a Carlos, I have a friend who do this and it's amazing..
Well, I had the all talk false fun, then?
>Buying a Xbox One is a bad idea.
Yeah...I bought to play Sunset Overdrive, way before this. Now, you REALLY don't want to buy one.
Because I don't care how much money "machine" is getting.
I just want to play the game.
Yeah, you do well without an Xbox One.
Because something that isn't master could be cool to me.
I always hated Red Mage.
>All of that being said, i've never seen a Microsoft console with enough exclusives to actually want to make we get one.
This is the right answer, in my opinion.
>You don't care about THAT game.
>You don't want that game.
You buy if you want, if you don't...well, if you really hate, you MUST tell why, not just some image on paint.
I really didn't expected this much reasonable answers on this topic.
platinum age of idort was sixth gen, sweet raptor jesus what a time that was. this gen is the fucking lead age.
The words of someone who has fallen too far.
>Aside the monetary part
0/10
You can't be that stupid and use a computer.
Get fucked.
You know what he was trying to say, stop acting like a subhuman.
>Xbone
When you go beyond an idort you become an idiot.
no money nigga
Most xbox exclusives are on PC.
Otherwise most ps4 exclusives are on ps3/vita.
But most importantly it's not being interested in what is being offered.
Oh, you mean
>is there a reason for brand loyalty ever
Is what he was trying to say?
So tell me, as a consumer, is there?
I really, really, don't see your point.
I guess I am that stupid.
You are +18, right?
Thank you user, that means someone understood what I said.
Before Play Anywhere. Sunset Overdrive was great.
>aside monetary part
I just want to know if this is the main reason.
I got it. It sucks, but you will get there, user!
Most xbox exclusives are on PC.
True.
Most, not all. At least not what I wanted to play.
>Otherwise most ps4 exclusives are on ps3/vita.
False.
If you don't want the games in question, it's ok, though.
can't read my reply
to that other fag
?
I am, in fact, an idort
I just rarely buy new games because they're so expensive
