Looks pretty similar.
>10 years later
>most of those series are dead or gone to shit
>AAA gaming is shit overall now
feels bad
>Old Godzilla was hopping around
>Tokyo City like a big playground
Tokyo city like a big playground
you fucked up
>2007
Only a little. The golden era had already ended at that point.
cool found it
I remember the first day
youtube.com
>when suddenly Batman burst from the shade
>when suddenly batman jizzed from his cave and hit godzilla with a jizz grenade
I miss Newgrounds.
THANK GOD not everyone here is underaged
And hit Godzilla with a bat grenade
>Godzilla got pissed and began to attack
By all objective metrics, the answer is yes.
>There was a time
>Where the internet wasn't riddled with ads, telemtry and political agendas
>You'll never go back
>Godzilla got pissed and began to attack
So is it 2007 or 2008 that was decided as the last great internet year?
I believe this is my 23rd internet year. These threads are always so depressing.
Was the internet a mistake? Did they go too far by making it too accessible?
I don't know, but life was
So many things went wrong in 2007, I'm pretty sure someone still has all the pictures detailing all the fuckups.
>godzille got pissed and began to fuck back*
>TFW people blame Halo 3 for shit despite Halo 3's online multiplayer being some of the most fun and creative shit in gaming.
The government wants to make it less accessible, so what do you think?
>frog poster
>also underageb&
>also redditard
how surprising
It was more the hype around the launch, one million people on the first day. That's more Micro's fault than anyone else though they wanted their cash cow and got greedy. I liked Halo but I saw the damage it caused.
Speaking of Micro if things didn't go sour between Bungie and them the next Halo game's trailer would be out already and probably release this year after a 10 year hiatus.
Yes and no.
10 years ago:
>Games looked 100x better than 5 years before
>Games based on large (mostly) single mechanic implementation and small details, issues boiled down to bugs in rushed game.
>indie garbage stayed in the shadows/flash, good stuff passed around word of mouth
>only chance of update was fuckhueg DLC or new game, for good and bad
Now:
>Not much graphical progress in past ~5 years
>Several large mechanics in one rushed game, small details thrown to wayside + bugs and server issues
>Indie garbage as far as the eye can see.
>games have far longer active update life
Even though the bad outmatches the good, I would still argue games are better today. They may not be as unique in many cases, but there's sure as hell more variety now than there was then.
2007 was shit. MySpace was at it's zenith, shoe on head raids from Sup Forums were dragging in newcunts, and then Chanology happened, and now you have fucking celebrities posting Pepes on Twitter.
But didn't expect to get blocked by Shaq.
Chanology was the blow that killed Sup Forums. It just died a slow death.
not really but 20 years ago, sure
Celebrities don't post far-right hate symbols.
Are you posting from 2014 or something?
...
all things considered, 2007 was pretty decent in terms of popular titles
