>Bad Smash game gets destroyed
Nothing of value lost.
>meleefags are autistic
No shit.
That was easily $50-$80 if not more of resell value.
is it really worth $50-80
I gotta start selling my GCN/PS2 games
The fewer copies in the world, the better. Anything to get Meleefags to move on.
That makes it even more of a baller move
That makes it even more of a baller move.
Oh noes without a disc there's literally no way to ever play Melee ever again!
Can't you just emulate that game now anyways? How autistic do you have to be to feel upset about someone destroying their own shit?
Delete this! You have to move on! Newer is a-a-a-always better
only GCN games, PS2 games aren't worth shit (with a few exceptions)
>implying Dolphin, Wii Homebrew, and 20XX memsticks don't exist
Melee will never be dead due to hardware. Only when Nintendo stops making Gamecube controllers, and even then that would be a long time afterwards.

>Nothing of value lost
Quite the opposite. A perfectly good Melee disc would've sold for a bit of coin.
A fucking melee disk is $50 in 2017? what the fuck.
Now he can move on to a better game!
It's rare and classic
>a tourneyfag has Yughioh shit
not surprised.
Vidya prices are fucking retarded these days and you really have to question whether it's worth it to collect this shit anymore.
he's also into furry and diapers lol
That's okay, I can just emulate it
Melee is a very valuable game to come by. I hate how people don't value their antiques. It's one thing if you still play them to this day, that's cool with me. It's a whole other thing if you break them for no reason.
>calling a 10 y/o game antique
Look around you. Video games are probably the fastest aging industry today. Vidya has only made its mark on our world in the early 80s, yet if uncared for the hardware from that time is most likely unusable or in terrible condition. We need to put more emphasis on keeping our games in good condition. They are pieces of history, and as a society that values keeping relics and artifacts of yesteryear preserved, we should take care to keep them in good condition.
>Own easily $200 worth of GameCube games
>The idea of selling them breaks my heart
Am I autistic? I'm not even playing them on disc, I emulate them anyways because it's easier.
Anyone know a good place to buy reliable GCB controllers? They are so spotty in shops and they claim they don't test shit.
Play-Asia has them, I think.
>We need to put more emphasis on keeping our games in good condition.
I agree with this. Although I think you might be overselling games just a tad, it is fascinating how games collectors have unwittingly fallen unto the role of historians.
I also think its important to take care of your possessions anyways. I actually still have my copy of melee with case and booklet (i think....) intact.
They can be off brand.
I love the Gamecube, but it suffers majorly from a shitty controller.
If you suck my cock, I'll give you my GC controller.
>Another neurotypical posting his jokes and thinking he's so high and mighty.
Heh, move along kid. You wouldn't last two days on the spectrum.
>Get mad and act like a child
Why would you even bother censoring his name?
what a baby
That makes it even more of a baller move.
People who enjoy fighting games on a competitive level are embarrassing!!! Never respectable!!
Emulation is the way to go nowadays for old games
SAD
Honestly I'm a collector but I agree completely. Anyone new to it just don't, go straight to emulation as it's not getting any better.
was it really a baller move?
It was an autist move. The guy needs to see a therapist.
That makes it even more of a baller move
I can't take competitive gaming serious;y anymore. Either you are
>too good for me where I's just going to pick up the controller, get juggled, and die without a fight
or
>play on par with my competitor, only to have visable rage come from whoever is the loser because the game all boiled down to one bad play (it's never a good strat that won you the game)
Honestly, I think coop or singleplayer passing the controller is the best experience
Screw emulation, cheap flashcards and ODEMs should be a standard by now.
sounds like you and your friends need to control your emotions and enjoy the fight
You can still get good deals on PVMs, I'd say there's something to be said for accuracy.
You can own (almost) the entire library of most consoles for less than 50 bucks.
Plus, there are games you literally CAN'T emulate, like tilting games for the GB and GBA, or light gun games on a lot of platforms.
I'd never recommend actually buying most games though, it's an absolutely bullshit market filled with morons.
i suppose, but you tell me situation 1 sounds like its fun
good for him
yeah like SV5!
which has like 5 EVO participants this year!
>autist smashes his toy when he doesnt get his way
meleefags need to be put down
">Wh-why wont they play worse games!? ROSTERS ARE EVERYTHING!"
Retro prices are slowly deflating from the bullshit they are, but I still agree with you.
Is this true? If retro games start getting cheap again I'm buying them again.
Like I said, slowly. Give it a few years. Earthbound is still like 200$. Just make sure to save your WiiU games. I don't see ps4/xbone games becoming as valuable some day though.
Well I hope it continues. I remember when I started retro collecting in 2010 and N64 carts were like 25 bucks, and I'm talking about the popular ones. Mario 64, OoT, SSB.
Tournaments dont use emulators because of input lag
OoT/SSB can go easily for 50 or above. Iirc the most valuable are Mario Party 3, Fzero, MM/OoT, and Mario Kart. Of course anything with boxes and instruction books are also good for the value.
Finding obscure 63 titles are a fucking bitch though. Not a single vidya shop I go to has any that I'm looking for.
Go back to Brawl, Pink
I saw Majora's Mask complete (box, booklet, and I'm not even sure if there is the expansion pack or not) for 200 euros. What. The. Fuck.
Dk64, Pokémon Stadium 1/2, and Banjo Kazooie also fetch a pretty penny.
who cares
Evidently you if you posted here.
Politics is not worth debriefing someone over. This however is.
Yeah I just noticed, wonder why that is. Glad I bought just about everything worthwhile on GCN.
kek, was just checking that site.
>tfw 12+ of my GCN games are worth over $25 but none of my PS2 games are.
>tfw bought N64 games for $5-$15 during 2009-14 at flea markets
>People thought I was crazy
>Now everyone wants N64 games
WHO'S CRAZY NOW!?
I regret not buying some games like Conker, Doom, or Ogre Battle, but I've pretty got most of the sought after stuff.
And I don't plan on selling my shit any time soon since I actually play my N64 on a near daily basis.
looks like he smashed that disc with a melee strike
>games are bad because they're older
You're a faggot.
>own a bunch of old games with their manuals intact
>nearby mom & pop store actually pays you a lot more if you have the manual and game intact and in good condition
Might go there and sell off some of my rare games I own. They give more money/credit compared to FUCKING GAMESTOP.
>being so butthurt you smash your own stuff
seems literally everyone in the smash community is a fucking manchild
Well he is into smash, I can see why he'd smash it
Yeah good, keep destroying those Melee disks as the game fall into relevancy and to make my copy rarer and more expensive
>admin removed rights
What?
Smash Facebook groups
omg I wish Sup Forums had upvotes because this is gold
what is the appeal of smash brothers. there is a percentage and they try to throw each other off the ledge. that's the game.
Bait harder next time
Really just Nintendo characters. Every similar game with different characters dies quickly, and Project M shows that people absolutely refuse to make a real game and give up the Nintendo characters.
Because it is percentage and knock back based, there is no such thing as a true combo, and you aren't practicing muscle memory to pull off a handful of combo chains. Rather, you need reaction and precise knowledge of characters and their mechanics to fight. Because movement is much more free mind games and approaching are also much more intricate.
Groove street, nigga
Grove
>Yugioh mat
He's playing the better game desu
ryda, nigga
>with a few exceptions
I'm still sitting on my copy of Rule of Rose (bought it when it first came out), just watching the price go up.
>smash bro's getting smashed
who would've seen that coming?
>a complete used copy of gotcha force is ~200$
good lord
.hack games and other weeb games fetch well
As someone who got into collecting half a decade ago, I second this. I didn't mind paying up the money for games I wanted and mine got to be pretty decent in size and quality.
The novelty of playing on "original" hardware wears out fast. It got to the point where I was choosing to play the same games I got for my collection on emulators despite only being slightly more convenient.
Unless there are games you want that cannot be emulated or played properly like Steel Battalion without original hardware, then don't bother. Get a PC rig that has overclocking capabilities, it will be a much better investment in the long run.
