This comic is poorly done but at least the artist is working with good source material.

OW is the only game to make me feel for its characters in about 8 years. I had just about given up on game writers ever making likable characters with depth again. The game is whatever but I think the characters have set a new standard, especially in the comic.

I don't understand how webcomic artists can be so fucking awful at delivery. Anyone with any sense of comedic timing can see that this makes the joke a million times better.

OW characters are full of life, most other game characters are not. You play any other game, be it Fallout or Witcher or FF or Skyrim, you can play Assassin's Creed or RDR or GTA, and sure those games have good gameplay and maybe even better gameplay than OW but their characters are flat. They always feel like game characters and it shows. There are intricacies about OW characters that bring them to life: the way they're modeled and animated, their voice actors, and the fact that the devs but so much time into fleshing them out beyond the games boundaries they get their trailers and they get the comic...It makes them way more rich than characters from any other game this decade. And while I'm not an emotional person, the Hero and Bastion trailers actually got to me a little. I teared up during the Hero one. Can you honestly say to yourself that any other game made recently has done that to you? And can you honestly say it's not a special talent that Blizzard has going on?

desu they are not that much alive. They are very shallow characters in a multiplayer-game where people project their own ideas and made-up personalities on. It's the effect of big fan communities + very little outspoken story for the characters

You are dumb if you think the 'kind of sad' panel does anything but detract from the punchline. It could have come afterwards, but before it gives away the punchline rather than letting it be a suprise, which is the element to humor is best in.

It has come to my attention that in certain circles, simian-minded individuals are refering to vidcons as 'vid cons', ignorantly placing a space between 'vid' and 'con'. Perhaps their brains have dulled by years of Madden and Quake, rather than mentally invigorating games such as Arc the Lad and Growlanser, because even a child could tell that placing a space between the 'vid' and 'con' in vidcon is perhaps more profoundly philistine than a certain American administration that need not be named. Placing a space in vidcon completely belittles the meaning of the word and displays the user's blatantly miniscule intellect and misunderstanding of the basic precepts of grammar. Vidcon is a perfect marriage of the words console and video game, creating a short and effective portmanteau that quickly and accurately labels mentioned objects and anybody who does not immediately recognize 'vid con' as absolutely outrageous clearly lacks the mental faculties to correctly operate a vidcon other than perhaps FIFA Sports. I make this point because I have recently been belligerently barraged by imbecillic 'vid con' references that unnerve me to no end and have taken it upon myself to correct the damage that your poor Western education (though this is a subject to be discussed on a later date) has wrought upon you. You should personally thank me that I did not see it fit to correct your preponderous mistake in Japanese, because I am thoroughly positive your neanderthal mind would be incapable of deciphering the Hiragana from the Katakana.
