DUDE GIT GUD LMAO XDD
>DUDE INFINITE COMBOS LMAO
She has a clear sign of when she'll spin, just run away and wait
>DUDE INSTAKILL GRAB LMAO
Her grab shouldn't be instakill. Are you trying to fight her early on?
>DUDE "SHOCKWAVES" LMAO
Never happened to me on her fight, can you give an example?
>DUDE BUGGED FOGWALL THAT DOEST LET YOU SUMMON ANYONE LAMO
>summoning
>Fuck this game, im done.
your loss, best part of the game comes after her.
You made this thread yesterday.
You're just bad
has one man ever been more pathetic?
oh give over
at least complain about a boss that's actually somewhat difficult like the nameless king or the two princes
I beat her first try by keeping distance and spamming pyromancy.
git gud scrub
Fuck you
You've posted this same thread before, yet failed to take other anons advice. So let me throw in my two cents because apparently I like throwing money away.
Don't bother blocking. She hits like a truck.
Get real good at dodging. She has only has so many attacks and they're all super fucking telegraphed. When she does her spin-a-roonie, it's actually easier to i-frame through it rather than trying to retreat since she'll catch you with it most of the time.
You should never be in front of her. Very few attacks reach behind her besides the aforementioned spin and a few slashes when she gets her other sword, so spend all your time smacking dat ass.
Bleed works wonders on her. Quick weapons like Sellsword Twinblades or - if you're in NG+ - dual katanas are quick and stack bleed like crazy. If you don't have a reliable bleed weapon, spend some time in the Catacombs getting Carthus Rouge.
>two princes
>somewhat difficult
kek, they're far easier than Dancer. Much more limited, predictable, and easy to avoid moveset.
so this...... is the power of the pc master race.....
wow......
>run behind pillar when she's half health
>wait till spin2win attack is over
>attack
>you win
wow so hard.
Also I'm not sure what you mean by bugged fogwall, I got stuck here and after a couple of weeks I summoned a player who destroyed her with magic.
>inb4 retards saying how they beat her blindfolded on the first try as if anyone cared or would be impressed
Dancer is one of the less shitty bosses, if you're going to complain at least complain about Iudex, Greatwood, Wolnir, Pontiff, Yhorm, Dragonslayer Armor, Oceiros, L&L, or Ancient Whyvern, they were all much dumber than Dancer in their own way
>b-but x isn't even hard! git gord!
by dumber I don't mean harder
dude git gut lmao
just cheese her with magic retard
She's not bad. Learn her moveset and figure out when to attack.
If you want bosses that'll make you tear your hair out, play Bloodborne.
DUDE YOU'LL DIE OVER AND OVER AGAIN, LMAO
>Pontiff
>L&L
What the fuck is your problem with those.
I had a relatively easy time with BB (other than Laurence and defiled chalice dungeons) but Dancer destroyed me.
i beat her early game, sl 20.
just learn her moveset, it's not that fucking hard.
i beat dancer on the first try, i thought sulyvahn was MUUUUUUUUCH more difficult. i died so many times on that fag
>try dark souls to see what the fuss is about
>kill a few bosses
>plant sum flag in the ground
>hordes of encrazed villagers with supporting spellcasters
Truly a game for tryhards
>Iudex
I think you mean Champion, breh
>Greatwood
What, you don't have a ballbusting fetish?
>Wolnir
I can't defend that. Gimmick fights are shit.
>Pontiff
Incredibly satisfying once you beat. Just wish the fight would remain a one-on-one rather than dealing with an add halfway through it. Yes, I hated Darklurker too
>Yhorm
Again, gimmick. More power to you if you have the patience to beat him legit, but I don't.
>Dragonslayer Armor
Probably my second favorite boss in the game, right behind Dancer
>Oceiros
I hate that his entire body becomes a hitbox on his charge attack. Meaning you could be behind him attacking his tail, and if the tip is clipping through your body when he starts charging away from you, you still get knocked back
>L&L
Just make sure your damage output is high enough to kill shota before he can res butch bro 40 times and you're aces
>Ancient Wyvern
Gimmicks for days
All of her moves have huge wind ups and a rhythm to dodging them.
She's also super weak to bleed.
I don't know why people have so much trouble with her.
You have near Infinite rolls and iframes.
Had a SL1 solo run, limiting myself to a +2 Deep Battle Axe.
If I remember my run correctly, Dancer was the second hardest boss I faced. Died quite a lot of times due to careless mistakes. Hardest boss being Sister Friede. I have hours of fucking deaths against that cow.
Killed the Twin Princes on my first attempt, fucking barely. Somehow, miraculously, I killed the Nameless King on my second attempt.
In fact, just remembered that Dancer was the third hardest.
Forgot that Soul of Cinder gave me more trouble than her.
>"what should we do for Pontiff's second phase?"
>"uuuuh make him summon his own phantom?"
That just felt lame after coming from BB and it's great phases. It doesn't do anything to make Pontiff himself more threatening, you just have to dodge two of them now.
>Lorian's *teleports behind u* move
>all Lothric adds to the fight is magic spam
the music was nice but it felt like they were just trying to be obnoxious with this one
>I think you mean Champion, breh
I think not breh, Champ was the best fight in the game
It's an extra danger to all of his moves, what's bad about that? Not every boss needs a full-fledged 2nd phase, that's not inherently better, DS1 was proof of that. Even if you're disappointed, how does that make him a "shitty" boss?
Lorian's teloports and all his moves are heavily telegraphed, there's nothing really cheap or obnoxious about that fight and it's pretty unique at the same time. Easily one of the best in the series for me.
>People get hit by that grab
Amazing.
I don't claim to be very good at these games, but on a second playthrough I fought her after Vordt so I could rush to that dragon dude and get MLGS. It was hard but it was early on. She's nowhere near as bad progressing normally.
I feel you user.
It's been a year or so since i played it, but i remember hating that boss so much.
Everyone has a different boss they struggle with, and my two were Pontiff and the Dancer.
Any other boss i flew through with ease, but these two absolutely caught me off guard.
The simple way to beat it is to keep trying, and over trial and error, learn what it'll do.
The other is to grind to high heaven until it doesn't do as much damage with its moves.
>actually summoning
After all these years just Gitgud
Personally, Pontiff's clone really did me over. There was just never any good time to attack because after you dodged his shadow, he was already starting another attack which his clone was gonna do again. Only way I beat those fights was to pump as much damage into hitting them both.
I can definitely see how you'd enjoy it, I just prefer Dancer and Dragonslayer as my personal favorites. I'd enjoy DA a lot more if not for the dragons in the background. They're not even difficult to avoid, they just add a layer of annoyance to an otherwise cool fight.
Worst boss for me has gotta be Crystal Sage.
I've always hated mage bosses in Souls, and I hate bosses with adds even more.
He's both.
>Make a series about slow deliberate combat and challenge
>DUDE TELEPORT ABOVE YOU AND ONE SHOT YOU
>NOTHING PERSONAL KID
Twin Princes was the worst fight in the entire series
He copies the shadow movement exactly.
So when you dodge the shadow, you can then either directly counter what the pontiff is going to do, or dodge a bit earlier and better so that you'll be positioned for the counterattack.
Twin Princes is one of the best fights in the series
You can roll a short time after they start teleporting and beat their entire array of attacks reliably.
Try Dark
>press dodge
>woooooooooooooooooooooow
Post DANCER ASSSSSSSSSS
>dodge two of them
you can kill the shade before he starts attacking again if you stay on him. it adds nothing at all.
>how does that make him a "shitty" boss?
Pontiff without his phantom was decently enjoyable, so with a decent first phase and a lame second phase I wouldn't say it's shitty per se, just that it's kind of ass
What do you mean you can't summon? I've helped plenty of people by putting my sign outside the door. Is this new?
I enjoyed the bosses a lot, and I think they were really well designed for 90% of them, but I never had any real trouble with them outside of Iudex Gundyr (the first one, not the second), Nameless King and Pontiff Sulyvahn, the rest killed in 1-3 lives.
There is no "dodge earlier". You dodge Pontiff and then you immediately need to dodge the shadow. With how they decided to pull more from Bloodborne with crazy aggressive bosses, as you come out of the roll from the shadow, you either rolled away because fuck that noise or you're immediately facing down Sulyvahn's next swing.
He has blind spots and is parryable but trying to figure them out is a nightmare with how much damage you'll eat if you axrew it up, basically sacrificing half your life bar just to see if X attack can even be parried.
Anyone else feel like 3 had way too much of enemies being able to attack through walls? Some boss projectiles go straight through them like Deacons and Ornsteins armor
Don't even get me started on the chain axe guy in Archdragon Peak
the teleport IS the tell
fucking get out of the way mang
>Chain axe guy in Archdragon Peak
This motherfucker
This motherfucker right here, worse than most bosses in the game, i swear to god.
I think the Souls games in general have this issue every now and then.
why do people struggle with Dragon Armour? He has some of the most obvious windup attacks.
You mean best right?
youtube.com
I remember this in BB and maybe in 2. They can hit through walls and you can't.
Rolling bypasses pretty much all her shit, on NG+ I beat her on the first go just by staying as far away as possible, especially after that really long spin combo because she's open for ages after that and doesn't have too much health.
It depends on what attack the shadow does. You most certainly will have a tiny reprieve before dodging the pontiff.
Additionally, based off what the shadow did, you are immediately informed as to whether you can dodge forward, to the side or an angle, or backwards to be in the best position for the pontiff's attack.
>weapon is slow
>NG++
>kept my SL low so can do invasions
>fuck up and get 1 shot in second phase due to limited stamina reserves
>THIS SPOT MARKS YOUR GRAVE
fuck you you faggot fucking prince
>slow deliberate combat and challenge
I think you meant DaS and DaS 2, we cuhrazy now.
>encrazed
>Starting with 3
you just play like a retard
anyone got wacky DS3 webms? I only have for 1 and 2
>play bb 3 times
>love it
>figure out best pop meta and twink to this day sometimes
>gee what is this ds fuss is all about
>get ds3
>beat first boss very easy
>okay I'm getting into this let's do it
>get to dancer
>game becomes 400% more confusing
>look up online guides they're all vague as fuck even when explaining how summoning is supposed to work
>don't know what 90% of items do in the game
>don't really know how to summon
>can't beat dancer
>never play it again
Truly a game made by C team
>mfw killed this bitch before Vordt
Do us all a favor and don't waste oxygen any further you dumb fucking cunt.
...
>There are people this delusional
user, the only way you beat her before Vordt is if you had prior knowledge of the game's bosses, you were on a New Game+ and knew what dancer did or you summoned someone to help you do it.
Whilst i agree it's possible, i sincerely doubt there is anyone out there who met the dancer before Vordt without previously looking up her move set and winning.
...
Is it good against the dancer or what?
I certainly would not say that the fight would be lumped into a group of bosses worthy of scorn considering the decent aggressiveness and move variety along with the possibility of destroying him by going ham with parries or low-profile attacking, even if the second phase could be construed as disappointing, though I would not.
I managed to beat him first try on my first two runs through the game, but I wouldn't say he's easy because of that. Rather, I managed to enter the zone during those fights and nail everything I aimed for, every parry I attempted and low-profiling on the small stair thing. Nothing quite beats going full aggressive on an already aggressive encounter and coming out on top.
lag on boss fights can be interesting
Kirito-kun?!
H-HAYAI!
This is fucking hilarious
You don't have to look up anything besides how to spawn her before Vordt, lad.
Do people really NEED supplementary tools to play fucking video games?
...
>Crying about a game loved by normies for being "difficult"
I think you'll find more traction if you posted this on breddit
i killed the dancer in 3 minutes with it without upgrading faith or intelligence at SL 26.
...
Does your roll button not work or something? Man up, get in tight, and dodge her attacks after a few hits. Unless it's her giant windup she's easy, pussy.
YOU WANNA KNOW WHY
CAUSE EVERY TIME THIS FUCK SWINGS HIS AXE AND HIS LITTLE BUDDY SPEWS SHIT EVERYWHERE THE FRAMERATE TANKS JUST A LITTLE MORE AND STAYS THAT WAY
SO BY THE TIME HE JUICES UP IN PHASE TWO AND THERE'S ANIME DUST AND SHIT FLYING OFF HIS DRAG MY BALLS ALONG THE GROUND SWINGS THE GAME IS RUNNING AT 19 FRAMES PER SECOND AND APPARENTLY THIS IS TOO SLOW FOR THE GAME TO REMEMBER A FOUNTAIN IS MEANT TO BE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BRIDGE SO HE BURIES ME HALFWAY UP THE BRIDGE'S ASSHOLE AND I GET INDIGESTIONED OUTSIDE THE MAP AND BEYOND TO MY DEATH
do not try to back flip on the elevator it is a safety hazard
You can't believe retards playing the series for the first time would attack NPCs? You haven't seen the threads complaining that people attacked the crestfallen guy from 1 and now he's spawncamping them? Especially since its a defenseless old lady
>going from vordt to dancer
truly a madman
No no, i just feel she is one of those bosses who require a little bit of levelling and experience before fighting her.
If someone does truly fight her the first time before Vordt on their first playthrough with no prior knowledge to her, then i expect it'd at least be a very difficult fight for early on in the game.
So when i see something like this i feel a little annoyed as i have no doubt they're either lying, or did actually beat the boss before Vordt but no doubt died a lot doing so. It just comes off unbelievably cocky.
No i can definately see people attacking NPC's but i feel like that user made it seem as if the fight was a walk in the park, which i doubt at such an early point in the game.
I usually suck at DaS games and BB, but this fight was surprisingly easy. She has very clear tells. I think you're just "tilted" right now. Take a break and come back later, you'll beat her on your first try.
H-he's fast!
DUDE DARK SOULS IS HARD LMAO
if the arrows don't kill the host at the end the magic balls do
The amount of times I've died to the magic balls seconds after killing the boss is quite embarrassing and funny.
it's one of the funniest bosses to help on because of that. we still beat it, it just ends up being a funny victory. best is when they start gesturing in victory and die mid gesture.
>Tfw you kill the boss but die at the same time
>Tfw you have the bosses soul in your inventory
>Tfw although you have the boss soul and have beaten it, it still shows up with the fog wall
>Tfw have to beat it again even though i did it once before
This hurt.
Alot.
Especially since this was the one i personally had the most struggle with in the game in comparison to others.
rip boss invasions
friendly fire co-op was the best thing ever. you host dies? you get a reward. host get victory? you get a reward.
host is an asshole? he spends 30 minutes attempting to chase you and slow kills himself via mobs while you watch and toss hello stones.
Interesting. Did you get another copy of its soul after defeating the boss?
Never heard of that. That's pretty weird.
