I missed the pre-order window. What's the best route to take to get one as soon as I can now? Thanks in advance mates

Show up at midnight in Target, they dont take pre-orders so good luck.

In America at least, Gamestop and Best Buy are having midnight releases, and both of them have promised to stock extra units so that people who didn't preorder could pick up some.

Good luck, I guess.

I'm going to wait until Mario Odyssey comes out.

>I need dysfunctional hardware NOW

Chill dude. Buy it later on sale bundled with some games.

You mean 8 am.
They're not doing a midnight release. At least not franchise-wide.
Fair warning though, the average gamestop has like 6 that aren't for pre-ordered customers.
This. It's Nintendo. There will be a revision, price drop, sale, bundle, or special edition out before you know it.
Unless you are absolutely dying to play BOTW immediately and don't have a Wii U, it makes no sense to buy one now.

Here's what you got to do, you got to wait out at a midnight launch at a gamestop, you need to wait till someone leaves with theirs

Then you kneecap them with a Crowbar and take theirs.

alternately, mug a FedEx driver.

Holy shit don't actually do this.

>the joycons are having issues
>there is literally only one good game a launch that's also going to be on Wii U

Why do you want one right now, exactly? Just wait, OP. The prices will go down and the games will go up.

It's not worth it right now. You're just buying into the manufactured hype that Nintendo has drummed-up.

At least wait until Mario Odyssey like this user is doing. I'm going to wait until at least Black Friday. Probably next year. Whenever Xenoblade 2 gets a release date.

Hmmm, a price drop maybe but I think a revision won't come until 2 years after launch imo at the very least. If you can wait that long then just wait.

I'm really not looking forward to all the sadfrog threads a month from now about how the OPs fell for the hype machine and have nothing to play and want to die. And blame Nintendo for it when they knew damn well nothing else was coming out for the thing until Splatoon 2 in the summer.

>Black Friday

Good luck trying to get a low priced Switch if that's the case m8 it's going to be hell.

Or Cyber Monday. The deals will be online too, user

Unless they really give a killer deal or bundle, I don't think so.
It's still launch year, so I don't think either are happening.

I wonder how well this thing can take the heat it's going to be producing though I heard the average temps are about 80 F and max at 100 F. I'd say that's pretty warm for a handheld.

Pretty sure Sony dropped the price of the PS4 by 50 bucks for the first Black Friday after launch. 250 for the Switch would be cheap enough for me to consider it. And Nintendo did the same for the 3DS, right?

Then, again, I guess it all depends on how well the system is selling how much Nintendo would discount it.

That's not much I think. Some tablets can take up to about 200 F before they start going into the danger zone so 100 F shouldn't be that bad.

If you're in NA, get to Toy-R-Us or Target as early as you can and you might get one. They didn't take preorders.

The 3DS price drop wasn't a sale, it was permanent because no one was buying a handheld at 250 dollars when they could get a console for 300. The 3DS launch was disastrous and a really underrated turnaround.

>underrated turnaround
Was it? That's all I fucking read about for a while.

>MARIO SAVES THE 3DS PRINCESS WITH 3D LAND AND MARIO KART 7

I guess they're expecting that Zelda will propel the system sales, huh? Mario was enough for the 3DS. Zelda should be enough for the Switch.

Shit post on Sup Forums til someone in your area cancels their preorder

Some Walmarts may have it, and Gamestops are supposed to have a few copies extra at physical locations

But there is issues with the Joycons at this time that you may want to be aware of, due to their obscene prices, which could kill the enjoyment of the console for you.

3D Land didn't do as hot as people thought until legacy sales were a thing, since there really wasn't that many 3DS owners at that point in time

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, that's funny.

I heard some of the larger gamestops are actually getting a few spares.
