If you overclock too much. Overclocking until it crashes or throws errors is a standard procedure. Even the official application that came with my motherboard does that - keeps increasing frequencies/voltage and simulating some load until the OS crashes, then saves the last successful settings.

Nah they took it to 4.1ghz without increasing voltage, and XFR typically takes it to 4.1ghz (but increases voltage), so they're conflating them.
