Should I hold off on the Switch?
Should I hold off on the Switch?
Yes. There's no reason to buy anything day one unless you lack patience or discipline like most (man)children.
No, Zelda is literally the best game of all time.
Yes, there's gonna be a better model down the line and maybe it'll actually have games by then
No. that video is akin to the dumb infomercial ads of morons that can't do simple tasks and fail horribly. Like holding a soda, bowl of pop corn and remote and the same time and dumping it all like a jackass.
C|net is just a click bait site now.
$0.05 HAS BEEN DEPOSITED IN YOUR ACCOUNT
More like hold "off" on the Switch, nigga
Yes. But not because of your pic, but because of the lack of games. Give it 6-8 months.
You already knew the answer when making the thread. But the real nondrone answer is that if it gets games you want to play, get it. Games are the only thing that matters.
sorry that logic isn't something you eer learned. And common sense wasn't something you were born with like normal people.
Must be so damn hard for you to crack eggs and pour milk without fumbling them and screaming "there has to be a better way".
>C|net is just a click bait site now.
I didn't get the memo. When did this happen?
no, if you can get 1 day 1, do it, sell it for 2-3x more online.
Is CNET the DSPgaming of product review channels?
yes
wait a couple months for other games to come out like odyssey or splatoon 2
When he got paid by Nintendo to say it.
Does it have enough games to make you at least be able to play one game a month on it?
If no, then wait. You are only giving yourself a better experience if you wait. Early adopters are just stupid and impatient.
I don't trust the game line up for the Switch just yet. Personally I think it could be a great console but I'm waiting to see if it gets more games I actually care about.
So far it has BOTW and that's it. I can get that on the Wii U.
Never buy any console on launch or within launch window.
Wait until they come out with price drops and bundles. Knowing Nintendo they might come out with a "NEW" Nintendo Switch with more powerful hardware.
When someone got payed to intentionally push a Nintendo switch over claiming it's stand doesn't work for 3 straight mins.
It was 3 mins of "there has to be a better way" levels of infomercial bullshit.
Oh. I'm not going to throw away two decades of using cnet because user got mad.
Unless you do not own any console, or gaming computer, what is the point? You could be working on your backlog instead of buying a console that could very well be a flop.
If you do not have a backlog or console, I recommend looking into one of those nvidia shield thingy's. They look to be better overall to me.
Yes
Even if you like nintendo and zelda there is absolutely no reason to buy a console day one. Never ever ever buy a console day 1 unless you enjoy disappointment.
>I'm not going to throw away two decades of using cnet
Why? Do you get paid the longer you use it?
If you're a poorfag wait, if you aren't might as well buy it now instead of waiting for a small $60 pricedrop
only if you like the games on it of course
>dude someone disagreed with me and disparaged the corporation I signed my soul to
>I bet corporation x is behind this!
this kind of childish thinking is embarrassing but fitting for Sup Forums
No no. Don't get it twisted.
I just believe you are a moron. Not that you are affiliated with any other group of morons' you have achieved moron status of your own accord.
You know Sup Forums are a bunch of retards when even the fucking YouTube comments section has more common sense
No, if jewish shills are fighting this hard against it then it must be good.
They're Sup Forums approved.
>there are people calling it nintendo shilling for pointing out that its RETARDED to push over a console and go "SEE? IT FELL WTF NINTENDO"
Okay, I watched it. The only part that seems off is that the Joycons are still attached and fucking with the weight ratio. The thing still flips faster than a cellphone propped up with another cellphone.
Don't get caught up in the dumb consolewar shit, either side. It's almost never worth buying first release hardware.
Are you atleast bothered it popped off that easy?
It's supposed to. So that it doesn't break if you are too stupid to push the stand in when you put it on the dock.
It's magnet locked.
just wait a year until they make the *new* Switch XL Ultra edition that's a complete improvement for the same price, like usual
yes, Nintendo will pull a handheld and release a new model next year with an improved screen, battery life and more polished hardware that isn't as flimsy or breakable, probably a cheaper model too for those people who just want to play a game and not fuck around with convoluted rumble+
>"Editor's note: I've heard from a lot of readers that the video I used to try to illustrate the problems with the Switch kickstand...let's just say it fell flat. My intention was to try to reenact real problems I had, but I see now that the video comes across as forced or cheeky -- like a bad '90s infomercial! While I love the comparison, that wasn't my intention. In the future, I'll be illustrating this type of opinion with tests instead of recreations."
>He thinks the stand isn't intended to snap off.
>C|net is just a click bait site now.
Actually CNET is a big partner of Columbia / Tristar / Sony Pictures. They have a lot of shared assets and financial interests.
This video is basically a hit piece, but you've got to expect that in this day and age. There is no unbiased news source
>partner of Sony studios
at last it's all falling into place
Yeah and it's not conspiracy theory, you can actually verify this yourself with a simple web search.
I only know because I used to work for a company owned by Sony. Renan Productions.
If it looks like fun and there are games coming out you want to play, get it. If not, don't. It's really than somple, sempai.
>Renan Productions
that's so obscure it has to be true!
Wait until the New Switch Scorpio XL Pro that'll be out next year.
>all those multiplatscots
wow look at all those reasons to not buy the system
Oh someone already made that joke
Woops
I'm leaving it up to luck and fate. Not going to pre-order, will see if they have any in stock after launch day. It comes out on friday here, will see if they have any in stock on Monday. Give people time to pick up pre-orders and go shopping for it in the weekend.
If they left overs then the console is shit and no one wants it. If they are sold out I put an order for one the next time they get new ones.
Who is the red girl behind bomberman? She's cute
the main character of the PlayStation-exclusive new IP Atlus is working on
So why's she on the Nindy hype train then?
they needed filler after putting so many third party characters on it
>t.too poor to afford the Switch
/thread
Why the fuck would you hold off on being part of this gaming masterpiece day one?
>t. too poor to buy a Wii U
>t. too poor to buy a PS3
>t. too poor to buy any console at launch
>hasn't seen the video
Stay mad, bucko.
>t. shit drinker
Must suck not having disposable income. Some niggas not living the American dream.
I'm buying it at launch and will keep in on the lowest possible firmware so that I will have the easiest installing homebrew when it inevitably gets hacked.
This thing is a fucking homebrew and emulation dream.
Yes, since it's been revealed that not all games have to support home console mode.
>Nintendo's marketing around the Switch has largely focused on the fact that games can be played while the system is connected to a TV or in handheld mode. But this isn't necessarily true of every game, we've now learned.
>As seen in the photo below, the Switch's touchscreen becomes inaccessible when it's placed into the dock that connects the system to an external display. A Switch version of mobile rhythm game Voez is only playable with the touchscreen--and, as such, it can't be played on your TV.
If I wanted to dispose of $600 I would have bought a PS3
Are you buying 3?
....How is that an incentive? I mean, this is interesting to know but it doesn't change my mind either way. What, some devs might treat it as a handheld instead of a console or something?
Wrong. It Setsuna from I am Setsuna.
Multiplat since it's conception.
everybody btfo
>some devs might treat it as a handheld instead of a console or something?
Yes.
Once I saw CNETs kickstand vid I cancelled my pre order
Not like you have a choice anyway, unless you've already pre-ordered or want to stand in line at midnight with the spergs.
you must be mistaken as we have disposable income and can afford to drink things that are not shit
Hm, what would that mean? Nintendo would stop making handhelds then? Because if you're already getting handhelds on the Switch, why bother making another machine? Devs probably used all their good ideas as well anyway
Don't take my word for it. Use google and see for yourself. CNET's parent company and Sony have been partnered for decades.
The 3ds is pretty damn far in it's life.
I don't want it to end but I can see Nintendo pushing this as it's successor.
The REAL issue is if the Switch gets games but NoA censors them again.
They're pulling a DS/GBA: claiming that the new console isn't a replacement for the existing one, just in case the new console fails.
Once they know whether the Switch is going to be successful or not, they'll make a decision about it replacing the 3DS.
>720p in 2017
>Wii U release same day
>topkek
No, wait
get a load of this guy
Voez could be just the thing the Switch needs to get a ton of ports of mobile games. Not having to support console mode is likely a huge relief to mobile devs.
It'll probably be a nogames machine for a while considering two of the major early games are Wii U multiplats.
You are the reason why gaming companies sell incomplete games, charge for online, resell consoles like the ps4 pro.
It's good that your mother has a disposable income, because you are terrible with money.
You really should get a job, then maybe you will learn the value of a dollar.
Enjoy buying the switch twice.
>CNET
>1 Guy's opinion
K, so a guy forced to review products he probably gives 2 shits about doesn't like it, color me surprised.
>tfw Amazon still hasn't shipped mine
What the fuck man.
How meme would it be to buy a galaxy n3ds this close to the switch?
Leo Laporte my nigga
>XL
Gay
You guys realize that without 3rd party support the Switch is going to have the same fate as the Wii U, right?
You can already tell because the only good games coming out for it are from Nintendo.
Wii U had great third party games user
Yes, but cnet's criticism has nothing to do with the reason why you should hold off. Their shit was retarded.
>buying ANYTHING day one
Never fall for hype, you just get disappointed. Wait 6 months to 1 year when they fix all the bugs and defects
