I do, with my whole heart, love the RE franchise. Have ever since the first one was under the Christmas tree for my old Playstation. My issue though is this. It's not Fatal Frame or Silent Hill. Only played 4 from start to finish. Amazing game. Played a bit of revelations 1 as well and it was alright. Felt like a dumbed down version of 4 crossed with Dead Space. Damage localization is nice, but I hate how they removed some of the nice little features of RE4, like being able to kick in doors etc. Also dislike how the upgrade system is much more forgiving so you dont get the same attachment to your weapons of choice.
I own RE1 remake to the wii, but have barely played it at all. Seems like a good game in it's own right I guess, but I was looking for something that could sate my hunger for more games like RE4, and RE1 didn't really satisfy me. Perhaps I should give it another try somehwere down the line.

I think that's something that RE3 somewhat lacks though, RE1 has the MANSION, RE2 has the POLICE STATION but RE3 doesn't have any particular location to define it other than "the streets" I really like the hospital and clock tower though

I'd say mostly go for body shots on the pistol, for the shotgun try to conserve ammo a reasonable amount and always let a zombie get close then aim up, it'll headshot them everytime
