Modern games are mistake, what's the point of all those "details" when the lighting looks off and has mostly no shadows making it look awkward.

Vicarious Visions just doesn't get it. Stylistically, Crash was designed around the triangular low-polygon aesthetic. Leave it to these third-rate developers to disrespect the original vision.

That's the biggest difference between Crash, Spyro, Sly Cooper sequels and remakes over something like Resident Evil.

If you look closely on the bottom picture you can see how the arm starts right under the eye, this does not conform to human physiology, add to that the claw like arm with four fingers you can only imagine the horror that lurks behind those bars and what your fate will be if it grabs you.

I think the prisoner really increases the spookyness of the original game. Before it was merely a disembodied hand with some eyes which was kinda eh. Now there's a whole lot more to to it. And just imagine the death animation as well
