No Hollow Knight thread?

No Hollow Knight thread?

Anyone got any tips for Soul Master? His second phase is murdering me, very little time to catch a break

pile of shit game made by money grabbing kike faggots who still havent optimized it

What am I supposed to do with the flower?

Take it to Queen's Garden without using trams or stags and without getting hit along the way.
You have to present it to someone, but I'm honestly not sure who.

deliver to a grave in the queen's gardens. You cannot take the stagways or get hit, else the flower gets destroyed and you need to go fetch another one

What the fuck do I do with these rancid eggs?

In case you died in bumfuck nowhere and don't want to walk all the way to your shade, you can trade an egg to an NPC in the town to get it back.

Is that it? I guess that's kind of useful.
Who?

Right side of town has a stone structure locked with simple key, it's over there. Simple key is sold by the little jew in town and some can be find underground.

Oh shit, that's what he's for? I've had him unlocked since I could afford the key, I had no idea that's what he did.
I was hoping for some story relevance.

>shade disappears when you quit the game
shit game by retards

Hi second phase?
Just survive it, keep moving, eventually he'll just stop. You should be able to kill him afterwards.

fuck off shill

Be careful, I died to the Collector and tried to get my shade back that way, and the game bugged out on me. My shade went invulnerable and inactive when it got summoned.
I recommend not attacking it until it's fully formed AND not trying to get it back via summoning if you die against the Collector. Those are the two conditions on which is bugged on me, so just don't do either until whatever's causing the bug gets fixed.

Only if you quit without using a bench.

where do I get the two charms to the right of the spore shroom?

~OH~

Can other bugfus even compete?

I'll tell you this: she's not a waifu, she's a child.

yes?

nah, you don't understand it yet.
You'll know soon after beating the arena

What's the deal with the bug where you only find it's butt above you? Where is the top? Is there anything to do with it?

just keep climbing, you'll eventually find the top. He's a lore friend, tells you about the wyrm

There actually is another thread, but they misspelled "hollow."

>just remembered there was an area in the Mantis Village I couldn't go to without beating the Mantis Lords
>25 hours in
Goddamn I wish I had this trinket earlier.

Same area, just go to the top of the area, hug the right wall. He gives some plot and asks if you're the one tickling him if you hit his butt.

just bought it, which seems like a good idea because it's not like there's a million other games out to play. Might as well add one more to the pile.
It looks and sounds great though.

Hey, someone who hasn't finished the Flower Quest, I wanna know what happens if you give it to the Nailsmith if you'd be so kind.

Unless he didn't save Zote

What do I do about this mirror looking thing in Kindom's Edge?

somebody spoonfeed me the simple key locations

I need one to get into the Waterway, but I already used two and I have no idea which ones I've picked up (other than the one in the shop)

Why is this indie game being shilled so much?

i hate this gay ass art style. is the game good

Show me a map of where that is?
The fungus makes me think you need the spore badge equipped. Wearing it lets you read mushroom messages.

Have you tried hitting it with the Dream Blade as well?

You break a wall and enter a crevice at this point on the map.
And the mirror is in a wall indent with spores surrounding it.

Also you were right. Spore Shroom did it.

What are these warrior's dream things? And how do i beat them they push my shit in

Fantasic.

What'd it say, I have little desire to backtrack to that fucking place, god I hate the giant jumpers

There's a grave in Queen's Garden. If you're at the stag station in Queen's Garden, head right, go up slightly, and left (through the entrance with brambles on top and bottom.) You'll find the grave there.

Git gud

Most aren't too difficult, only one I'm having issue with is the Shaman Elder, because my framerate just dies fighting him. Gonna have to wait for a performance patch because I can't fight at 6fps.

That and the guy from Deepnest. he wasn't easy, but there's a 3 point Lifeseed in the space above him.

Does anyone know how to open the door in the top left section of the Abyss?
Also, I'm only missing two charms, 2nd row, 4th from the left (next to Fragile Strength) and 3rd row, 2nd from the right (next to Lifeblood Heart). Anyone know which ones these are and where I might find them?

Am i supposed to use the dream nail to kill them or something? Just fought one of them and hit him at least 30 times, still didnt kill

What tier sword do you have? Tier 2, don't bother, Tier 3, doable, but I'd recommend the Tier 4 Spiral Sword for it. Makes fights go much quicker.

Some lore poem reguarding Wyrm and what I can only assume is the Fungal Wastes.

We speak the path of the Master Herald, he who would signal an Age's end.
Spawn of self, their minds unite,
Aside the source of acid blight,
Aglow in darkest, winding depths,
Winds all howl above fossilstone steps,
Monarchflys in airs set still,
To Root's domain and snail once shrill,
Path of Wyrm, at new lands entered,
There journeys end. The kingdom ventured.

Pretty neat, but I'm not sure if it means anything.

*Coiled Nail

Only upgraded nail once from the beetle bro, so I'm assuming Tier 2. About to go upgrade it again using the pale stone

Yeah, come back to them once you have the Coiled Nail, fights go much quicker.

torrenting it now and if i like it i'll buy it :)

Any news on updates? These bugs are killing me.

Where am I supposed to go after beating hornet? Is there any NPC that drops me hints about what should I do next?

Keep going left?

Yeah there is an NPC and a huge lake that you cannot cross. End of the route. What now?

Apparently there's a notch in fungal wastes? Where?

Where is the map seller in the waterway underneath city of tears?

I know what you mean op, between the teleporting homing orbs and the long road until you get to him i get fucked prior to even getting to him.Is there a shortcut to him? I just have the upgraded nail, wall jump and dash. Is there anything im missing?

How do I get into the Hive? The map shows an entrance near the tram form the Basin, but I can't break the wall open at all.

Nope, just gotta beat him legit. The upgrade you get from him opens up a lot of exploration, namely the Crystal Mines.

SHILLS COMING OUT IN FULL FORCE TODAY, HUH?

played it for an hour or so, beat two bosses, seems nice so far. Not a fan of the map system, but I'm sure that'll correct itself after more upgrades. Really somber tone to the game as well which I like. Still not sure if this is the game I'm gonna put down fucknowns how many hours into right now.

...

From the waterways entrance for CoT, just keep going left where possible, down otherwise.
There's a Mask Shard right before the room he's in.

Is there any charm for healing faster? Gathering spirit is useless for healing in boss battles

>Gathering spirit is useless for healing in boss battles

not really, depends on your timing you can heal without any problem in most boss fights.

I remember seeing one somewhere but I can't remember where you buy it.

now the only charm I'm missing is the one between spore shroom and shape of Unn. Anyone has any idea where to find that one?

so what does the kingsoul do exactly? I just beat white palace and killed the final dreamer, but I just wanna make sure I dont miss anything regarding the kingsoul.

is it as good as axiom verge?

You can break the wall to the right of the bench, from the other side.

it's made of GOD and VOID, you still gotta take it somewhere...

Wow, I nearly fucked my whole experience with the game up, though admittedly it's stilled bumming me out:
- Miss the town in the bottom left of the first area
- Therefore miss both the shopkeep and the badge seller
- Progress through game barely getting badge notches and missing out on the good stuff the shopkeep sells
- But the biggest thing is, the fucking lamp
- Tearing my hair out over where the lamp is
- Since I missed the town (but it was marked as found on the map since I entered the room, I just left), I was almost doomed
- Only found the shopkeep by chance, from the resting grounds to the right of him
- Beat the grub boss in like 4 hits cause my nail is so upgraded
- See the lamp in the shopkeepers inventory, shout "motherfucker", come here
The end

Just defeated Soul Master. Don't understand why people are struggling against him desu
Mantis Lords is a more difficult fight, and even then I haven't died to any of the bosses yet.

There is one, it reduces time by about 1/3rd, so it's not exactly massive.
Most bosses have a "rest period" where you can heal or if you don't need to heal, get a free hit in.

They don't want you spamming heal during fights so you can just DPS rush the boss.

Most people like me aren't very good at precision platforming, which this game requires, especially in bossfights were timing and jump measuring is everything.

Took me a good 6 tries to beat the Mantis Lords, they were pretty challenging until I got the pattern down.

Apparently you need to have 14 blue HP through some combination of charms. Haven't done it myself yet.

>6 tries on Mantis Lords
Jesus, I got them on my second try, and after losing the first time I knew their shit so well that I styled on them hard in the rematch and barely got hit at all.

I'll buy this when it's on sale

because I'm a poorfag

Can anyone help me out without spoilers?
I'm locked in the city and I have no clue where to go. I got the stinky egg and I got my weapon sharpened and I talked to the qt spear girl, but I'm completely lost. I haven't seen the map guy in hours so I went through the mushroom place completely blind too.

I don't know, personally boss fights aren't that strict when it comes to timing your jumps/dashes. Yet again, might be just me.

Also call me a cunt, because I probably am, but I also fail to see how people could miss NPCs like the map guy.
I always just assume that people forget to go back to the room they decide to skip. Either that or they can't be bothered to travel back to the location.
Perhaps they didn't notice an extra path in general? No idea.

Is the game worth the $15? Or was this kikestarter sham run by greedy jews who I should pirate from?

I did the first and second trials of the Colosseum and I didn't get the notch or the ore. Is it RNG based?

I've put ten hours into it and I'm probably not even halfway through it yet. Gameplay is fun as fuck. It's totally worth the cash.

Pirate it.

Personally, I think it's worth a purchase. It's pretty fun and there's quite a lot to explore.
Also according to some people on Sup Forums, it's somewhat difficult.

Now do Soul Tyrant.

Go right and up.

It's a fucking steal at $15.

I will, when I find out who he is. I've only just defeated Soul Master and decided to take a break.

What made you return it? I want to hear the other side of the coin

I don't have trouble exploring so I can't figure out that part either, but I do have shitty reaction time, so the combat isn't exactly easy for me.

I would say I have almost beaten the game. Might take me another 5 hours to 100% it though.

It's a bug. Happened to me too. No workaround yet, prevents you from fully upgrading your nail and 100%ing the game.

It's bugged, you're fucked.

If you have the Dream Nail then you can fight more powerful versions of him and two other bosses if you go back to their boss rooms.

i got about 1400 geo. save up for the lantern, or should i just buy the key? i made it to the rain city and just got back to the surface

Thanks

Go to the fungal wastes and explore more. I was also stuck at the City, but I just fucked off to other areas and you'll eventually find the tools needed to progress

What is this game?

Some kind of indie super metroid?

save up for the lantern. the key is nothing but disappointment.

Save for the lantern.

Anyone have a screenshot of the mask maker's face unmasked?

100% buy the lamp. A lot of places are dark as ashit, and without the lamp it would be next to impossible to find your way through. Kinda shitty they made it a somewhat pricy item but eventually Geo won't be an issue

Totally worth buying.

It's another 2D indie metroidvania platformer. Nothing more, nothing less.
BUT, it's certainly not bad so if you're in the mood for one of those games right now grab it.

Is there a fast travel in this game. Instantly dropped axiom verge when i found out i couldnt.

In the water ways, when you hit that switch and the green fluid surges upward, what exactly does that accomplish?
I did it hours ago and I've noticed no change.

Just beat the game however I'm stuck at 99% with all charms and hunters journal filled out completely.

Any ideas on what I missed?
