They lowered the price of the original Shovel Knight and made the DLC campaigns standalone. If you owned the game before you get upgraded to Treasure Trove and keep getting all future content just like promised
$10 is if you just want the DLC standalone. It's being for free for anyone who already owns it. Then it comes with Treasure Trove.
? If you own the original game don't you get all three DLCs for free?
Is your reading comprehension that poor?
>Buy the game get DLC free
>Buy the DLC standalone
I don't get it
I'll let you figure it out, you really need to start using your brain
The original game with all free DLC is now called Treasure Trove. The main campaign where you play as Shovel Knight is now known as Shovel of Hope; it and all the DLC campaigns are being sold as stand alone games. If you own Shovel Knight from before Treasure Trove, or purchase Treasure Trove going forward, all DLC is still free.
Wow so the jews decided to release all free DLCs for 3 years and suddenly now are charging 24 bucks while normally it would cost $14,99
>I don't get it
I'll explain it, my nygga. Some nyggas who are buying a Switch already played the original SK and it's previous DLC on a different system they no longer own. Nyggas don't want to re-buy a game they already own, so they just buy the new DLC as a standalone for a proportional price. Nyggas who have never played SK can buy the original and all the DLC for a proportional price.
What the fuck happened? I thought they were /ourguys/? They're becoming way too greedy
>yacht club
>indie developers that have been releasing fully-featured full-length campaigns and still are to people who already own the games for free
>unironically calling them jews
If you're that assmad about it, just buy the game for tern dollars right now before the price increase or pirate it or something.
Fucker, if you already own it, it's still free. Anybody who's too thick to have gotten it before now deserves to get jewed.
>just buy the game for tern dollars right now
I won't get the DLCs that everyone is getting for free for 10 bucks.
Yes you will, you illiterate, retarded motherfucker.
>Specter Knight’s own somber story will be a free update to all existing versions of Shovel Knight and a standalone game as well.
>Around the release of this new campaign, all existing versions of Shovel Knight, on all platforms, will become Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove! With three full-fledged character campaigns, Challenge Mode, local co-op, Body Swap, and somehow even more content on the way– Shovel Knight’s adventure has expanded considerably since the original release. Along with the change, the price of Shovel Knight will increase to $24.99 in March.
How do you people manage to function?
How do you even breath?
Turns out making free expansion packs for years is a very poor way to make money.
Hell they even dropped the price to $10 this week before the price hike.
I am excited for Specter Knight's campaign.
Them upping the price on the original game is pretty fine in my opinion because it has a whole bunch of extra content it didn't have on release. Selling the dlc as standalone is also pretty fine for people who want to play the new ones on a different system.
So long as you already own the game, they keep to their promise of making it free, which makes it fine with me.
In fairness to all the mouth breathers in the thread, slapping new names onto things several years after release is kind of bad branding. Still, people are fucking dumb.
I will have a heart attack by attacking an user in a tanzanian anonymous site
They're releasing the other campaigns standalone if some people just want to play those games separately.
However, if you buy Treasure Trove, you get Shovel Knight and all of the other DLCs. The King Knight DLC, whenever that releases, will be free.
>Only the switch version will get Specter Knight in March 3rd
>Everyone else is in April
24,99 + tax
Pay the price to play early on the nichest of niche consoles.
It's honestly kind of stupid and scummy.
But I love Shovel Knight enough so I'll be a hypocrite. That and I get all the DLC because I bought early so it doesn't effect me.
Indie games was a mistake. nothing good came out of it.
The indie ''scene'' haven't released a single decent game yet. Meanwhile while selling their ms paint garbage for $29,99+early access DLC
Aw is that true? I thought everyone was getting it March 3rd.
There goes my weekend plans, now I have to do actual work like applying for jobs.
