I was so excited for this game but this is going to be fucking awful. I loved VC when I played the Steam port a couple of years ago (My only problem being almost unbearably cringed writing)

They did away with that awesome "BLITZ" hybrid strategy battle system. There's no guns, no explosives and no tanks. It's just another hack-n-slash JRPG. This better just be an experimental side project before they make another actual VC game.

What a fucking let down, any of you anons still thinking of getting it? It's going to be Westernized late Spring-early Summer.

the fuck is this

Sega said at the beginning of the year that it was only a spin-off and not directly related to Valkyria Chronicles, and that the later is not dead yet.

The funeral of one of the best strategy battle systems ever lol.

Will we get any more VC PC ports?

I bought VC just because I want to play Valkyria Revolution. Looks fun.

few games make me sick by just looking at it. it should be proud.

Anything after VC doesnt exist for me
series is dead

I'm always willing to give side projects a shot but holy shit this looks like hot garbage. No turn orders or move limits are fine if they just wanted to make a hack n' slash kind of game but just...what the fuck even is this. Why even make this? It looks like a low budget early access game.

Fucking kll yourself retarded phone poster.

Ok thanks user that's a relief. My only concern is that this will sell like shit (Like it honestly deserves to lol) and then it'll be hard to get the budget and interest to make VC4 good.

Always hate to see a really good game followed up by one that changes the mechanics entirely to follow a trend. This is why the Elder Scrolls is on life support.

Did you play VC2 or 3? Were they any good?

The game already flopped hard in Japan and you can buy it new under 30$

Gameplay wise they're both an improvement over VC1, but story wise VC2 is anime highschool shit, and VC3 happens at the same time as VC1, but you follow a different squad.

My personal favorite is VC3, but the general opinion here is that is shit just because they use black uniforms and some of them can equip swords (which are not mandatory, and pretty useless overall).

We knew from the start it was going to be hot garbage.

And now that it flopped, I bet they'll just say "Well, people don't actually like Valkyria, time to kill the series for good." instead of realizing that what people actually want a proper VC4 on console.

Considering this is SEGA, I wouldn't be surprised.

Sounds good. Shame I don't have a PSP (or any handheld for that matter)

.This was EXACTLY my fear x.x

Are you allowed to skip past cutscenes and shit? I'm thinking of playing VC again

GIVE IT BACK

Yup, that's what is going to happen.

Too bad.

Didn't Sega put VC2 on PSP and dare people to buy it or else they'd cancel VC and then when they saw the sales they went "lol guess you guys really liked it on PSP so we'll stick VC3 on there too"

...

>The funeral of one of the best strategy battle systems ever lol.
"best"

Thanks god for VC3.
The best entry in the series plebs didn't play.

>This better just be an experimental side project before they make another actual VC game.

>big ass swords
why

I skipped over VC2 due to not having a memory card for my VitaTv. Emulated VC3

VC3 was really good. Permadeath may have stopped being a thing but since I'd save scum anyway it doesn't really matter. The good thing is that the whole squad has more character than just a few paragraphs in a bio.

Talking strictly about gameplay, it was pretty fun and challenging. Sometimes there were bullshit moments like improbable lancer accuracy against a faraway soldier, but the whole experience felt more refined and balanced compared to VC1. Also, dare I say it, the multi-map levels felt more strategic because of the deployment limit.

Fencers are a shit though. They're only good for masochists. Armour Tech is super versatile though

>There's no guns, no explosives
You know that's wrong right?

>Looks way better than any of the tales or xenoblade games
Yet Sup Forums still think it's shit. Why?
