They put in a fast forward button on gameplay to make it play like Quake? sounds like a hilarious idea, although that fucking game could and did give you motion sickness from how stomach-churningly fast you could move.

Bastion essentially just got a shit ton of buffs and its made things a little weird.

He can make most dps run away now if they run in to him in recon mode 1v1.

Pretty much everything about Bastion. Recon Mode has more ammo and is about as accurate as 76, Self Heal can be used while moving and taking damage, Sentry Mode has alot more spread and no headshots but has a passive 35% damage reduction

It's a different target. Back in the day almost everyone who played was tech-saavy. Nowadays the public is casual so they make an easy to setup game.
Also, we can turn up the values to pretty much Quake 3/UT99.

All of the Overwatch youtube channels have an updated playlist so there's a good chance we're getting one very soon. Personally I think it will be tomorrow since they don't want to flood us with updates.

The core gameplay and mechanics are so far apart, so not really. It's also got absolutely nothing to do with skill levels and people back then sure as fuck weren't more tech-savy as people are today. I hacked together UT mods as a kid and I had no idea what was going on.

Even ignoring that, people who know what they're doing would be doing 99% of the work anyway. Blizzard just didn't give us the toolset to actually play with the game. Probably because someone would make Overwatch actually enjoyable to play.

It's crazy that Counter-Strike was once the shitter kids game that people went to because they couldn't handle arena shooters and now it's the most technical FPS out there because there's literally no other choice.

I don't even dislike overwatch but fucking hell it's got the same design as League of Legends where they're purposefully created a game where the same situations play out in the same way over and over again. There's so little thought involved, you're just railroaded down one track.

I would say feelsbadman but I gave up a on a new fun, fast, technical FPS game coming out a long time ago.

I've been playing Quake since its release. I was a teen when i bought an opengl compatible card so i could play Quake with better graphix. I've been playing Quake since before you were born probably.
I still do. But as a good friend once said, i don't want to waste my life away with one videogame. I want to waste my life away with a shitload of videogames.
You can't get stuck in the past, user. Time moves on and if i stay behind I'll probably never play again since nothing is as good as in the 90s.
Ow is a fun game to play after work. The fact that we can crank it up to Q3 levels of speed is pretty good and I'm happy about it.

The hero hasn't even been revealed yet. PAX is on March 10th.

I actually don't think CoD is terrible either, it's a fun alternative when you're looking for something different. It's a shame they completely fuck the PC versions up and at this point there's literally only 1-3K players on launch.
