It's actually fairly modern technology by nintendo standards, the only problem is its purpose.
If they made it a newer WiiU it could have been a good deal faster without needing to worry about keeping to the thermal limits of a portable chassis, if they made it a dedicated handheld they could have removed the fan and had a more acceptable battery size.

Not that bad actually seeing as aside from laptops, what way are you going to have comfortable AAA gaming in mobile or some pretty good indies. This is the main reason it should sell. Minimum console tier setup, easily accessible on the go and easy multiplayer. Joycons won't be the best but top down seem okay with them. Pro controllers don't have analog but digital buttons but that's not insanity. Overall it just needs games by winter and Nintendo kind of set it up that way, between E3 and the start of the year to tip off, big games releasing between E3 and Holliday so people don't battle the DAY1ERS and extra croud. I'd compare sales later down the line.
Tldr: portable AAA, a fine consle release plan and pro controllers not having anolog triggers isn't insanity so it's okay.
Also, if the controller chargers transfer inputs down its charging line, you can hook it up to PC and imagine amibo modded commands on that.

Heat produced by an SoC is equal to power draw and vis versa, a chip producing more heat is chewing more power.
2.5hours for a 4000MaH battery is not consistent with a device drawing enough power to need active cooling.
It's only a little more power hungry than a phone with a similarly specced battery, which can be accounted for by the larger screen on the switch.

A bit over 2 hours while blasting at max power and connected to almost everything it can while running BOTW which is actually heavy on that thing as must open worlds are heavy. Lower power consumption may but the battery by a bit but I'd realistically expect, during games like fast RMX a good 4 - 5 hours.
Also different user here, just pointing the batter is slightly less shit then thought, tho I got a brick for myself...

Minimizing requirements won't get help in this kind of argument, this is the type of argument you maximize all aspects of both games, and its immensely more clear which one is better.

I'm digging these indie games quite honestly. Glad I held off on FAST Racing Neo.. Redout looks good.. very excited for Blaster Master Zero... and the rest.. looks fun. mobile multiplayer gaming.. probably just what i need.. I usually never go for AAA BS.. been playing games since NES so naturally i don't find the graphical realism race too appealing.. I played GTA V and I hated it.. need aliens and demons and pixels etc
Trust me user, fast racing neo is great (I got it, it's damn hard tho) but if you want fast RMX, go for it. High speed racing possibly at some of its funnest with a gimic that isn't hard to adjust to and isn't shit so yeah. You do you, I love the indi lineup too.

yeah i know this but a few of them I can play with family members or friends.. since the switch has a screen and you can add two more joycons I can bring this thing with me to a cousins house or something for a few hours of entertainment

I have my all around shekles so I'll put em on what I want, it's just the switch has actual reason for variety in gaming while at most the PS4 has on PC is VR but PC has VR. so we have reason for getting a switch, especially students, people with jobs that they take a train to get to or something or a traveling kind of life
