Oblivion isn't the best game ev-

>Oblivion isn't the best game ev-

er

Morrowind is better

every time I try to mod oblivion, faces dont show up, or the game flat out doesnt work

Other than two guild quest lines, oblivion sucked

That sucks.

stop being retarded and start following instructions

Why mod perfection? They mod the minotaur balls in vanilla

I DID

I used OMM, but Blockhead has to be installed manually, which just fucks everything up somehow

I wanted to agree, OP, but Morrowind exists.
We need to go back to the time of shittons of armor, no voice (which means more dialogue), direction-based questing, varied enemies and very important, levitation.

AMD card?

m-maybe

>still no controller support on pc

That's probably the problem. The game is ported from the console problem so modding with an AMD card is iffy

Daggerfall is the best ES.

Would be, if you gave it a good engine. Get with the times, grandpa.

but vanilla oblivion looks so shitty

>tfw you will never again bind levitate 100 points on self for 3 seconds to hotkey 1 and drain intelligents 100 points on self for 1 second to hotkey 2 and alternate between them for fast infinite flight in any game ever again

So I'm looking at the top 100 oblivion mods. Other than bug fixes and xp system, what would you recommend me, Sup Forums?

I loved this game when it first came out, but it kinda sucks now. My biggest problem with the game is how bad the combat is. The combat is just so shallow and boring. I never feel like I am in any danger or have to use any skill, because I always have 50 healing potions (and more at home) that I can pause the game and use at any point. I think if there was a drinking animation or a cooldown it would have seriously increased my enjoyment of the game, because then there might be some danger and sense of accomplishment when I beat an enemy. And don't talk about raising the difficulty, because that just makes the game so fucking tedious. At a high level and difficulty it is just so absurd the number of attacks you need to kill someone even with something like the Goldbrand. Everything in this game that add "depth" to the combat just feel cheap, like the poisons that can paralyze an enemy for like 5 seconds or whatever it was. I dislike the fact that playing the game the most efficiently is by making useless skills your major skills and just not leveling them, so you and the enemy don't level up. To add to that, I hate how a lot of the time leveling your character up feels like a bad thing. I get why they did it, because they didn't want to dictate what order you do the quests and where you can explore, but it takes away any sense of progression or purpose outside of the narrative.

Speaking of which, I think it has some cool missions and stories, but it all feels so fake to me. Maybe it feels fake because I have done it all before, but I think it is more than just that. The whole thing feels so formulaic, like why do you have to become the leader of every faction, after the first 1-2 factions you do, you know what is ultimately going to happen in all the others.

I was going to write more but I hit the character limit so whatever. If anyone responds I'll write more about why I find it hard to like a game I used to love.

A good companions mod. Can't remember names, been years since i've played.

ok, so oblivion keeps fucking up for me when I try to mod it. whats the one graphical overhaul mod I can inject so it doesnt look so bland and I can just start playing

I too enjoy potatoes and level scaling.
