>price cut to $499
Literally no excuse not to have top tier graphics in 2017.
Price cut to $499

ehhh, i got a gtx 1070, itll last me to the death of this computer
To play multiplats ? I'm good
cheapest gtx1070 on amazon.ca is 509.99$
nice lie op, 1080 still 800$
Just announced on the Nvidia live stream. Relief is coming friend.
no thanks, I'll keep my 1050 2G and buy a Switch with Zelda and the gamepad instead
Isn't there a new one of these things every few months? I,m not paying 500 bucks for something that's outdated as soon as you take it out of the box.
This thing still can't accomplish a stable 60fps on max(4k) settings on most games.
only retards spent 400$ or more for a gpu, especially when an rx480 is 240$
when do the new amd and nvidia gpus come out
dis gen aint it
>buying nVidia
No, only retards buy AMD.
a 480 can't do shit on the standard definition of 1440p.
I'm not going to spend time building a pc just to kick the consoles ass "a little bit" I want it to be like "you wont be good enough to beat me, not even if you trained for ten thousand years."
Dis, 1070 master race
It costs 880 bucks in my country, that's a pretty good excuse
I'm already sitting on a 1070. Not upgrading until next gen, at which point I'll do a significant rebuild (8-core) anyways.
Stop being third world then jose
>I can buy a Decked out Nintendo Switch with a game or two for $499
>I can buy a PS4 plus 5 games for $499
>PCucks still shilling for companies that sell overpriced computer parts, that you also need to combine with other overpriced computer parts to even play a game.
Fuck man, PCfats are top-tier Goyim.
that's still expensive asshole
if anything goes beyond needing more than a 1070 in the next decade ill be surprised
hell, most games nowadays are maxing out graphics improvements
i'm gud. thanks microcenter. open box is da bomb
Low-price low-end hardware for a casual experience or high-end, high-cost hardware for the enthusiast experience.
Stay casual and let those willing to invest in their hobby do so.
I would if I could, I'll just settle for a 980 or AMD in the meantime
Huh, where did you find that?
Amazon still has the old price
Basically this post can be summed up as
>God, I hate people that have money
I wonder how you feel about people who drive nice cars?
...
>experience
Enjoy your interactive cinematic experience. I'll be playing video games.
Literally just announced like 5 minutes ago. Amazon ain't that fast.
Yea, I don't understand "reee more options"""" is basically their logic.
And they're consistent too because consolecucks were irate about xbone and ps4 getting upgraded versions.
And you'll get what you pay for, i.e. not a whole lot (low resolution, low framerate, restricted environment, long loading times, paid online).
>post you're replying to didn't say anything about a cinematic experience
Is this the goal post you're moving, a non-existent one? Wew lad, I hope you're trolling and not this retarded on purpose.
Confirmed on their twitter, so just link to that.
>1080 ti $550
>Oh yeah, so it turns out we were intentionally jacking up the price. Now that we got some competition, BAM.
>Thanks for overpaying early adoptcucks
If AMD don't get their shit together and have Vega cards out soon and lower than a 1080 boy i swear
I will buy the fuck out of a 1070 out of spite for these slowpoke fucks
>TFW I bought an EVGA GTX 980TI classified for $710 on launch.
Well I mean it's not like the card is garbage. Still maxing damned near all games on ultra 1440p.
I could literally get two PS4s. 500 is a fuckton
It's a product that's about to be one year old. Competition may play a role, but that's how PC technology works, shit gets cheaper over time. A pricecut at this point isn't very surprising.
>"I value graphics/cinematic experience 1st, gameplay 2nd"
This is why gaming has gone to fucking shit in the past decade. Normie faggits like you can't comprehend anything outside of blockbuster action flicks and hyper realism. You probably complain about games not being "realistic" enough too.
Fuck off and do us a favor: stop playing video games.
OC that shit my man. It beats the 1070 on everything, even when both are OC'd.
There are people reading this right now that bought a 1080 at the old price and installed it earlier today
Why the false dichotomy? Where does the assumption that you can only have either a system that doesn't suck ass, or good gameplay?
I did. Got an additional 100mhz on the core and 650mhz on the memory with only +50mv. I'm seeing 1585mhz on core when in boost.
>1080ti
>3584 cores & 11GB of VRAM!!!
>35% faster than 1080
Can this do 4k 100+fps?
>only retards spent 400$ or more for a gpu
This. Yearly refreshes will make your cards obsolete. Selling them 2ndhand and you will likely get 50% off of what you bought with them. Better to buy $200 cards every 2-3 years.
Uhh no because I use my money for other things.
If you want top tier resolution/graphics, I heard the real world has 1 trillion frames per second and 50 trillion resolution.
>mfw I still have a 970 and an i5 4460 @ 3.2 GHz
I still run the most recent games on high/ultra but I can't max out beefy shit and get jelly when I see mods to make graphics go beyond ultra. Upgrading right now isn't worth the cost considering the performance boost I would be getting.
>Uhh no
Of course you do sweetie, that allowance you get from mommy must get you a lot of nice stuff :^)
>Finally have the funds to buy a top tier PC
>Can't bring myself to do it
This is very strange. Either I'm scared of money loss or not having any games to play.
>Got a 780ti on release for 685€
>Performed less than a 970 when this one came out cause Nvidia fucking around with their drivers
I'm not falling for the enthusiast meme again
>Can this do 4k 100+fps?
On what game?
Do you have an i7?
Does your monitor support 4k?
On what settings?
Can your PSU handle a 1080ti at balls to the wall?
Then there's nothing else you can do. I'm also starting to see my 980ti struggle on games at 1440p, especially with newer ones like the Ghost recon beta, couldn't even maintain above 45 on ultra, barely kept 60 on very high. I'm just gonna wait for the 1080ti.
A M D

Obviously because game devs now have to cater to your fucking ass, wasting development dollary doos and time, having to detail in graphics and painstakingly make sure that your 4k experience isn't compromised.
Look around on steam/gog/origin/whatever first then and see what games you'd buy, make a list, and then decide if that's worth it.
>Buying stuff I can't afford is a waste
Yea spending even $500 or more once every year isn't going to break the bank. Let alone once every 2-3 years. I bought the 980ti at launch and still have it. It's still cranking along just fine.
Buying middle of the road mid tier garbage is the stupid route.
do they even make 4K with higher than 60hz panels?
>Not having games to play
I literally have too many games to play. I have 55 of more than 200 installed right now.
Shit or get off the pot, senpai. If you don't want to do it, it's cool, but sitting in the middle of the road pulling your pud ain't gonna get you high-end PC gaymin.
negro this is assuming everything else is in order
the x70 is always faster than the previous x80ti because nvidia are actually competent when it comes to gpu performance per gen.
Oh no! Game devs actually have to do work to justify $60 per game!
That doesn't mean I have to waste money buying shit that doesn't give me both.
1070 masterrace reporting in
"Ultra" is a bit subjective. At 1440p with the higher pixel count, high AA isn't required. I've seen great strides in just turning AA down from x8 to x4. No visual difference but fps boosts up 15+
Why?
My 970 has yet to slow down. Graphics-wise vidya seems to have peaked until the next generation
soon they will be released.
Think there's an Acer pred 4k 165hz g-sync ultra wide coming out, obviously we're gonna start seeing more.
but my 970 is still palying games at high settings and up at 60fps
maybe if i had a 1440p or 144hz monitor id buy one.
>Decked out Nintendo Switch
what did he mean by this?
Lol I spend my money on health products, top quality food, clothes, and going to get a new bike come spring time.
You know, I do shit that is actually going to get me laid, unlike blowing tons of cash just to get a boost to frames per second, lol.
I work in a discount clothes shop
>2013 console
>Can't even play it on the go without over a thousand dollars worth of extra equipment
So much for consoles.
But didn't you hear him, better graphics means the game must now suck because of it!
Obviously, graphics should always remain at what the current console generation can handle. Never push for more!
>Never push for more!
I say push for less if you think people are too stupid to notice
720p and 1080p are virtually indistinguishable
>Lol I spend my money on
Try a little harder, maybe you'll convince someone. There are bigger, jobless retards than you here, so you're bound to get someone.
>Buying middle of the road mid tier garbage is the stupid route.
When was your 980ti launched? 2015? That is just a bit above 1060 today and when new GPUs gets released Q1 next year, your 980ti will be literally below 2060 for
I'm poor and my hours are getting cut to 20/week so now I need a new job too.
Why should I? Actually it would have been a wise step to completely avoid buying any of the 10x generation cards until now.
What is the killer application for 1080ti? I doubt it is still good enough for 4k alone.
Well you know, instead of spending all their fucking time creating graphics for you. They could actually do things like hmmm, make a fucking video game with good gameplay, instead of just a washed up hollywood directors attempt at a b-movie action flick with bland fucking characters.
>$499
still too much
waiting for Vegas
>look guys I'm bragging on an Indonesian basket weaving forum about how much pussy I get!
>I'm not so poor that I can't afford all those things AND new tech!
Your shits all retarded and you talk like a fag. No one's impressed.
mfw i bought a 1080 2 weeks ago full price :(
RETURN IT NOW NOW NOW
Blame the devs for porting the Vita version rather than the PS4 version, which japanese devs love to do for some reason (they do the same with ports to PC all the time).
...
you can spend less than half of that on a 1060 6GB and play all games max on 1080p
hey don't be too hard on yourself you thick fuck
>Animeposter
>Trying to pass as having a job
Yea ok, I'm sure the only thing you bought with your allowance was a fucking body pillow to jerk off into.
>35 percent' more performance than last year's GTX 1080
>barely $70 less that 1080 where I'm from
Oh no. My 980TI only gave me 2 solid years of maxed graphics on all games. And no. Even a 6gb 1060 doesn't even touch the 980ti. The TI outperforms even the 1070 depending if dx12 is in play or not.
I see what you're saying, but you're literally talking about putting up with medium graphics for the entirety of your time owning the card. It's less about money, and more about what experience you want. And again. $500-$600 every 2 years? Or even every year? If you're worried about spending that little amount of money, maybe PC gaming isn't for you.
>yea ok, I'm sure the only thing you bought with your allowance
>Allowance
Carlos you fucking spic, get some new content.
Damn, a lot of console peasants and poorfags ITT
I'm pretty ok with my 980ti
cool now you just have to wait for nvidia to force all of their distributors to lower the prices for all of their currently stocked nvidia gpus - oh wait- this wont fucking happen - best buy.ca still sells a gtx960 for 400$
>1080ti next week
when do you think we'll hear from AIB makers?
I have a silent idle build so I don't want nvidia's shitty blowers humming in there 24hours a day
So if I bought a good card now, but didn't really want to replace it quickly, what's a reasonable amount of time a card would last?
A new one every 1-2 lets you maintain the best setting in game, but I'm asking about if you didn't replace it.
>not waiting for last gen fiji card to drop to sub $200
>75% of the performance of a 1080 for 40% of the cost
>amd faggot i know is literally begging me to wait for vega instead of buying a cheap 1080 off ebay for $430
>a new one every 1-2 years
good goyim, might as well get an i7 too
Is the pricing in response to AMD? Are they worried about Vega?
