I haven't played the game yet, but I would try the game out just for her. As for the gameplay, it looks like it could be good or bad, I can't tell from the videos.

I was skeptical. I pre-ordered Horizon and Zelda both, with reservations about both titles. I'm not a "Sony BTFO" or "Consolewars" type.

Honestly, Horizon is ending up a lot better than I expected from all the Sup Forumstardation I've seen lately.

It's open world meme. Yep, that's true. A lot of minimap icons, go here and there, gather stuff, so forth. There is some heavy borrowing of design frameworks from other titles; but we all knew that.

The robot dinosaur combat is actually better than I expected by a pretty wide margin; barring the somewhat lackluster melee controls (It's pretty 'slidey' and 'magnetized'), it's a good bow and arrow simulator and it's actually engaging and fun.

The storyline, cinematics, narrative etc isn't nearly as bad as I had guessed, the "SJW Narrative" is more background radiation, rather than a nuclear bomb in your face. It's there. Yeah. But it's also not shoved down your throat.

The cinematic with the black girl "I need no protection from you" is in relation to her brother, and isn't a feminist statement but a sympathetic statement of "You wouldn't hurt me" family-esque thing. It's not SJW, at all.

That said, its' pretty tropey of open-world-meme design. So is Zelda.

Both games are probably better than most Sup Forumstards are expecting. I hope Zelda delivers in the way Horizon has, because Horizon isn't nearly the steaming pile of shit Sup Forums would try to say it is.

I'd give it a 7/10 so far. Maybe a low 8. It's a good game. It's also really pretty (but we all knew that, i guess).

Depends if you like Open world games like Ubisoft-esque things. It's got a better narrative and better combat (ranged) going on than the Webm's or streams indicates, but it has the same typical weaknesses of 'open world meme games'; lots of collectibles, a lot of traversing land. The stealth mechanics are also bizzare and overpowerful, you can essentially oneshot anyone and anything if you're in tall grass or half-competent. I've had a great deal more fun with the game playing as though stealth doesn't exist. I just fight everything front-forward and its' a far better game since I started doing that.
