Holy fuck, you guys

Holy fuck, you guys
Typically I don't get that bothered by horror games but I'm still only in Odaka's apartment, haven't seen anything yet, and I had to call it quits. I was getting that hot panicky feeling all over my body

Why is this game so unsettling, Sup Forums? I didn't expect to be spooked at all going in

Is there English translation

Yeah, that's what I'm playing

So what's the gameplay like

It's really jarringly split between an 8-bit style RPG and a first-person mode where you slowly walk around settings in the story

I can't tell you much because I didn't get that far in but it's about a haunted DS cartridge and the first-person controls are bizarre and hard to get used to, but that adds to the suspense

Downloading it right now. Thanks user, so what's scares you about it? Is there jumpscares or enemies?

>creepy PS1 graphics
>good sound direction
>tank controls
>the illusion that you don't have any objectives so you go in clueless

at least that's what on the top of my head

I haven't even hit the first jumpscare but something about the graphics+atmosphere+audio+movement really got to me and I had to stop

Are you using headphones

No, I probably would have pussied out even earlier if I had been
The sound design is really jarring. Something about the Japanese pattern of using really crisp stock-audio counsing sfx against empty, quiet ambience really really works

*stock-audio-sounding

Still need to finish it someday, i think i'm around halfway in but got distracted by other games. Definitely a hidden gem on DS

To all of you fags, there's a sequel in case you don't know and it's fantranslated as well.

Heard good things about this, but never got around to downloading it myself. Thanks for the reminder OP.

There's a few jumpscares in the first few chapters. Rest is enemies

Sequel isn't as good. It added too many Zelda like puzzles in the game portion. Also annoying platforming. It added nothing other than filler. Only good part was the ending was pretty intense.

nice

Nameless Game was a cool horror game. I like haunted game type stuff.

>tfw Road to Sunshine

Thanks for the recommendation, OP. I'll have to try it out sometime.

Who else /theresia/ here?

>creepypasta the game

I am interested, so time to download. I'm guessing that it's good since it seems to have spooked you hard
