What did they mean by this?

What did they mean by this?

It's literally ok if Ninty do it.

Does the master sword break like other weapons and You have to wait for it to recharge?

>MASTER sword recharges like a cell phone between uses
>even skyrim let's you use your rape blade for as long as you want

Maybe master sword has a powerful spell thing on it that takes a long ass time to recharge.

Is that 9 minutes or hours?

>empty, uninteresting open world
>items recharge in real time
>the only actual innovations are a dog companion and goggles you can mark enemies with
>no ending

Its Phantom Pain all over again

>braids
Wait what.

At least phantom pain had a rocket fist you could punch people with.

Hours, but it's okay because you can speed it up with micro transactions.

What's that green looking weapon on the bottom?

Skyrim has plenty of once-per-day shit, though.

But Phantom Pain was actually pretty good.

Korok Leaf, you use it to blow air at sails to move rafts etc

You are joking, right?

In skyrim you can fast forward time.

The ultimate Gary Stu. No, maybe Mary Sue since Link don't resemble a man that much. And people defend this shit.
Hope is not for real.

>dog companion
Oh god are we doing that autistic shit again?

To be fair, Afghanistan isn't that interesting to begin with.

>hours
please be bait please be bait

Don't listen to them. It's minutes. It has the same "minutes : seconds" as the food.

Pretty sure he's shitposting.

There's a 0 before the 9 so it's probably 9 minutes 46 seconds.

>Pay $2.99 to recharge the Master Sword now!

Its minutes and there's no microtransactions you shitposter. Do you really think that wouldn't be reported on every website under the sun?

Why do they hate fun? I really don't get why anyone would make this.

>Most weapons break within 12 hits
>Mostly get shit weapons
>Ends up making combat tedious and something to avoid

What WERE they thinking? The game is fine, but making weapons awful like this really brings the game down. It should be like 50 hits with weapons easily repairable.

I think it's some kind of super attack that it recharges. You can still use the sword I guess.

Trolled

if you wait by a fire until morning/night/whatever does that recharge the sword as well?

>game journalists stopping sucking nintendo dick for one second

doubtful

Qithout this restriction, every other weapon would be useless. May as well scrap weapon durability and make the Master Sword the only weapon in the game.

Hope there's not ingame currency they will fuck it up

Journalists aren't the only ones who got early ones.

this desperation to shitpost on every minor detail in BotW is unbelievably petty

This game is literally Paper Mario: Sticker Star. >PMSS: avoid enemies to save stickers for bosses
>BOTW: avoid enemies to save weapons for bosses

they could just balance it so other weapons might do more damage but are slower, or that you need the master sword at certain moments in the ganon fight or for other quests.

They want you to use other weapons besides swords and engage enemies with more than just meele hence the emphasis on physics in the game. That's just a guess, but the Zelda's series buggest flaw is that certain weapons and tools become useless outside of their respected dungeon. Nerfing meele combat kinda forces the player to do more than just swing sword.

Why they add breakable weapons, it is fun killer.
No more treasures in chest, just another stick, which will break in 10 hits.

That's a cheap way to make the game difficult sadly. Make the AI smarter and more dinning, don't need the player.

I'm playing as Link, I want to be a swordsman, not a lance user and definitely not a club user,

can you just, buy a lot of swords and thats all?

>Make the AI smarter and more dinning
they did though.
Go play Shitward Sword if you're that butthurt that there's more weapons available.

>A FUCKING LEAF

Not that I know of. And swords aren't common in my playthrough either.

SS is awful and also suffered shield degeneration. They can keep weapon degradation, just balance it. If a weapon breaks in 10 hits or so, why bother fighting?

>Make the AI smarter
The AI IS smarter in this game.
> kick or avoid bombs after seeing it explode once
>throw an explosive barrel at you if you keep shooting it with arrows
>throw a torch at them and they'll light their weapons on fire
>if you're cheesing with the bow and arrow, they'll move side to side while firing their own at you
>with big bosses, if you keep passing under them they'll sit on you

>If a weapon breaks in 10 hits or so, why bother fighting?
because weapon-stealing is a thing, every enemy with a weapon (basically every enemy in the game) gives you their weapon as a drop; you can also disarm them to use their own weapon against them.

More importantly, how did he get it with only 7 hearts?

Looks like to pull the Master Sword you need Stamina Vessel upgrades too

Notice the blade not glowing like the one, it's not the fully upgraded Master Sword

Yes, but I want a reliable weapon that doesn't break fast. And it sucks playing Zelda with weak mob weapons, not a trusty sword. Here's hoping someone makes an infinite weapon durability mode soon.

OP needs 4 more stamina upgrades

Most late game weapons don't break fast

Yes please.

You can do so in Zelda aswell. Wood+Flint= campfire which lets you pass time

then buy some weapons, or fight stronger enemies.

Threadly reminder that this game literally unironically lets you eat dogs.

>no ending

What do you mean?

False:

>Make certain enemies weak to certain weapons
>Make them strong against withers
>If you take them on without the right weapon, it's going to be hard as fuck

There, done.

It has a cliffhanger ending. They fell for the soft reboot meme.

He means that he's lying. The ending isn't a cliffhanger at all.

the game already does this

>The game is fine, but making weapons awful like this

PLAY ANY OTHER FUCKING VIDEO GAME WITH MELEE COMBAT

THERE'S MANY GAMES YOU CAN SWING A SWORD IN AGAINST ENEMIES WITH INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT AI

I'M BEYOND MAD RIGHT NOW

THIS IS THE ONE

THE ONE ZELDA GAME WHERE THE DEVS ARE TRYING TO MAKE THE PLAYER USE ALL OF LINK'S TOOLS AT HIS DISPOSAL AND YOU'RE COMPLAINING YOU CAN'T JUST IGNORE EVERYTHING THEY ADDED TO THE GAME

FUCK YOU

I'm more concerned with the fact you can eat parts from the very humanoid enemies.

>weapons break from overuse but are automatically repaired at checkpoints and safe zones
>can be manually repaired if caught out between checkpoints

HMMM IT'S LIKE THE WEAPON DURABILITY SYSTEM HAS BEEN PERFECTED ALREADY

>buy the true ending for 19.99!

*sigh*

...

>Weapons break

That's not how you balance things, user.

Does armor break?

weapon durability is more to encourage exploration than for balancing.

does a bear shit in the woods?

No.

what game?

Repairing weapons and shields are confirmed in BOTW.

And the weapon durability system of BOTW is perfect already because you can take it from every humanoid enemy you come across.

Yup.

It's not doing it in a good way. I avoid exploring some areas because I want to save my weapons.

I call bullshit to that.

>we could make the combat with different weapons more fun

Nah, just fuck the players instead with this breaking weapons shit.

I've avoided a lot of enemy hideouts because of this shit.

>Repairing weapons and shields are confirmed in BOTW.
Yes but that's not what I mean.

In Dark Souls, every weapon and piece of armor has limited durability. However, sitting at a bonfire will take it back to 100%. It's only IF IT BREAKS that you need to take it to a blacksmith or use powder and repair it. As long as you reach a checkpoint before it breaks, you'll never be forced to maintain it.

I seriously doubt this, as you get rewards for killing them, not to mention you're able to take their equipment, which is worth hoarding.

Durability in Dark Souls is shit though.
It impacts so little outside of shit tier durability using power attack weapons like the Drake Sword it never even comes up.
I've never had a weapon break outside of the drake sword cause I spammed the r2 and then trashed it.

No, only shields, weapons and bows

>It impacts so little outside
GOOD

G O O D

DURABILITY IS A SHIT TEDIOUS MECHANIC THAT RUINS GAMES

I guess the bear's constipated because armors do not break

>Want to use a sword
>Sword will break and I'll be forced to use bad weapons
>Rewards are pointless or weapons that will also break
>Avoid them so I can conserve weapons and shield

>they're actually defending it

t. person who has never played the game and worries over stupid bullshit

Its good in Fire Emblem.

But this isn't a problem in this game either.

Almost everyone has weapons of their own and late game weaponry don't break so easy. They don't break in 10 hits or whatever.

Wow so you're telling me the game actually rewards stealth and carefully planning enemy encounters? Neat.

What's the point of Shit Goblin Sword breaking in 20 hits when you're just going to find 10 more?

Why not just have it NOT break and then not drop all these extra swords?

Why not give the bosses weaknesses and strengths against certain types of weapons to encourage switching your loadout rather than forcing you to switch by breaking everything?

why don't you just marry dark souls.

Man. I would. If I could, I would.

For all the games copying the "it's Dark Souls but X" meme, Zelda would have actually benefitted. And they fell for the Skyrim meme instead.

Never knew Zelda was all about stealth.

>HAS BEEN PERFECTED
Not really. While spell fp/charge usage is arguable, weapon specials using durability is just bs. It's just tedious, not punishing.
Armour/shield duarbility is nice, though.

>Why not just have it NOT break and then not drop all these extra swords?
Because every game that does this has a load of useless weapons. Durability makes every weapon count, even shitty ones late game can be used as fodder and will help deplete the enemies stash.

Why the fuck is the graphics team not on the curb yet? This games UI is all over the place

meant for:

How much attack does the Master Sword have when its charged?

>He seriously doubts that a company which just put out a season pass wouldn't put microtransactions in as well

Possibly respec his stats somehow. His stamina bar is pretty long.

You could play everything MGS style if you wanted.
>mark enemies with slate from a distance
>enhance stealth with crouching and stealth pots you made
>snipe off lookouts
>sneakstrike is this game's backstab and you can do it with any weapon
>your stealth depends on what clothes and weapons you're wearing
>because heavy armor makes noise

Its like how Steel and Iron weapons still see use well into the final missions of Fire Emblem games.
Dont wanna waste that Killing Edge on mooks, old trusty Steel weapons can handle the fodder.
I think I might try and avoid stockpiling weapons in BotW and just try and grab shit as I fight. I like the idea of having my weapon break in a tough fight and grabbing whatever I can find before getting wrek'd.

If anything should've had a Cooldown time, it should have been Eating food from the pause menu
