I think the reason the 980 is the minimum on the nVidia side is because at 1080p it uses over 3.5GB of VRAM. The 380X is in no way an AMD equivalent, as that would be either the R9 390X or the R9 Fury (which is my card).

I don't get why people are freaking out about this, the specs aren't all that high considering how much more powerful the RX and GTX 10 series are over previous generations, not to mention that Revengeance, also by Platinum, took up excessive space and had overblown system requirements.
