If you could retroactively give one game a year of additional time in development, which game would you pick?

All additions, tweaks, polish etc. would be positive.

Witcher 3

Sonic 06.

FO4 or NV.
Not sure how much a year would help NV but this one certainly needed it.
Hard choice between making a pretty good game better or a mediocre one playable.

I'd say MGSV but Kojima would have spend that time adding more mo-cap, empty deserts and helicopter rides
Let's go with VtM:B

Still a fucking great game

FF XV.

KotOR II

New Vegas was already made in like a year. Giving it another might result in the whole second part of the map and the Legion faction being fleshed out.
I don't think I'd want to play Fallout 4 even if Bethesda had another year to work on it. I don't think they were exactly hard pressed to get it out the door.

;_;

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines

Alpha Protocol

Easiest pick of my fucking life.

This or This

mafia II

...

yeah been reasoning with myself about this hypothetical thread only changing the base games. like if this choice only affected the base game without any subsequent changes to DLC, public reception, and the modding scene. i would heavily lean towards New Vegas.
FO4 needed to be better from the start so presumably it would have better support comparable to the previous titles or maybe even skyrim.

anyone who answers differently is factually wrong

Who ever designed the land battles, needs to be blasted.

Mafia 2

Sleeping Dogs had a rushed development? I'm playing through right now and I haven't really noticed.

But Definitive Edition, man.

You get to a point where it becomes obvious that they ran out of time and the game rushes to the not great ending.
Plus it was originally going to have more world interaction, which there isn't a lot of in the final game.

This is the only correct answer
