Was there really a point in making tech as advanced as 9S? He basically undermined entire existence of YoRHa and needed to be kept away from evolving too much and learning the truth.

A2. I already was spoiled that you can go right back to the fight after getting one of the endings via chapter select, and just assumed 9S would be the good ending, so just went for what it thought was the bad ending first.

Commander is somewhat featured in in the stage.
If you haven't, by all means, read it.

how many hours of content do you get out of this game

Took me around 40 hours to complete, with doing about half of the sidequests.

In my case, took me 37 hours to get all endings and clearing 85% of the side quests. One of the best 37 hours I've spent in my life tbqh.

I clocked in at 55-60 something hours.

Have like done 97% of the sidequests.

I think my save file was clocked at about 60 hours
Not that I can check anymore

I clocked in on 62 with all the weapons upgraded, one pod upgrade missing, 10% archives and 7% quests left. Did all the optional bosses and all endings.
You can manage to do it in 50, I think (because I spaced out a lot listening to music), so that's it.
