Well, this is definitely the comfiest and best controller I ever had and I've tried pretty much all controllers that ever existed, at least first party ones.
>very nice weight to it >good grip on sticks >buttons feel just right when pressing them >best stick layout >great dpad >works on PC instantly >40+ hours of battery life
I love it already, much better than the joy-con grip
It's nice It's such a shame it's not the system's default controller
Hopefully they release a Switch Home or something with this packed-in for people who don't give a shit about handhelds. A little extra system power would be nice too
Ayden Perry
Would be great for sure. I don't plan on playing mine out of the dock much at all nor do I really care about the joy-cons.
Colton Torres
I do love it. If there is one negative, it's that I feel the dpad is a little stiff. Maybe it'll break in with use? The face buttons are godly, and I actually like the digital triggers a fuckton.
Connor Harris
I like that, there is a bit of a "clickyness" to the dpad. Well, tastes are different of course.
Regardless if anyone else is dumb enough to buy a Switch already like me I can 100% recommend the pro controller.
Matthew Robinson
Literally the only problem with the controller is a lack of analogue triggers, so happy I managed to get it for £35
Alexander Evans
Xbone controller still not trumped, m8.
William Johnson
Literally how?
Lucas Davis
The face buttons being in a diamond non-square shape really triggers me
Oliver Rogers
worse dpad, battery life and uncomfier
Jordan Baker
This looks way less comfortable than both xbox and ps4 combined
Zachary Young
It's really not
Jonathan Watson
I know sony has been doing it since sixaxis, but its cool to have motion controls in a traditional controller.
I like it gor precision bow aiming in zelda.
I didnt think about missing it on the xbox one controller.
Ian Williams
The Xbone dpad has always been shit
Caleb Jones
Do the sides have rubber like the xbone elite controller?
Christopher Edwards
I played for 6 hours with the joycon grip until my procontroller arrived in the mail, and the difference in comfort is astounding, not to speak of the fucking stick precision. It made me wonder why the hell it wasn't the standard controller when I remembered Nintendo relies on gimmicks all the time.
Brandon Parker
As someone who has all three, they're very comparable in comfort
I also really like the buttons the best. The Xbone controller has very clicky buttons which I don't like. I think the Switch Pro is just about perfect
Dylan Bailey
those face buttons look terrible
Asher Taylor
Can you plug it in and have data transmit through the cable? If not, it's shit.
Andrew Butler
you what you want to mod it?
Kevin Bailey
I want to be able to use it as a wired controller.
Josiah Myers
Yes, that works. You can also use it on the PC right away, no chinese spyware needed.
Aiden Rogers
It's not rubber but it's a more "grippy" material.
Jackson Johnson
It works if you just plug the USB cable into your PC?
William Jenkins
holy FUCK it works on the PC?
I was thinking ordering one was a mistake but now I don't regret it AT ALL. It's so nice.
Henry Lee
So I just plug it in and it works?
Luke Sanchez
Pretty sure thats an xbone controller faggot.
Cant just slap nintendo on something and say " look what we did guys ".
Ethan Bell
There's nothing wrong with the Xbone controller.
Daniel Flores
Explain the D-Pad in great detail. Is it clicky?
Kevin Murphy
It's heavy and a bit stiff, but the kind of "it doesn't feel flimsy" stiff. I wouldn't say it's outright clicky, but it's.. sort of clicky? Doesn't make sense right? It's like inbetween you getting no feedback and you getting a full on "click" when pressing down on it
Juan Cooper
Would you describe it as similar to the Joy-Con buttons in terms of "clickiness"?
Adam Watson
>I love it already, much better than the joy-con grip
Assuming it actually functions at all unlike the joy-cun with its sync issues I'd say it's probably a step up
You only had to play $300 + $60 + $80 to play Zelder Scrolls
Jacob Robinson
why the fuck is there no headphone port, come on nintendo
Isaiah Thompson
I'd say the d-pad is slightly less clicky, like he says there's much more weight to it.
Aiden Taylor
I hope it works on pc playing it last night all that was running through my head was "holy shit this thing is comfortable".The button layout, weight, and spacing is perfect for my hands
Jackson Lopez
I'm not going to get a Switch at release, but i'll get one of these to play on PC, seems a very good controller.
Robert Brown
I thought about picking one up last night with my Switch but I couldn't justify the price. Is it really worth 80 USD? I'd rather spend that money on something else but the joycons feel strange. Currently looking into the possibility of getting my xbone controllers to work via xim4 in the future
Connor Cooper
I mean, maybe you really like the joy-con grip. I didn't. It's okay, it's not awful, but the pro controller is multiple times better, it really is good.
Just like how the WiiU pro controller was great, only this time they fixed the stick position, improved the dpad and made it feel heavier which is nice. It's also not a glossy fingerprint magnet anymore.
Easton King
Is it possible to find these things at retail stores at all? All gone at the Gamestop and Best Buy near me.
Until it gets 80-hour battery life, I'm inclined to still consider the Wii U Pro to be the GOAT controller.
Brody Perry
That'll be $80 plus tip
Xavier Gonzalez
Plastic, but it still feels good. Coming from an Elite Controller owner. Worth the purchase.
Matthew James
why the fuck would you get anything but an xbone/360 controller for the pc? Especially when most button prompts on pc games are xbox related if you're in controller mode
Andrew Miller
Not him, but Dualshock 3 is awesome for emulation.
Asher Rodriguez
Huge question for op and anyone else who has experimented with it on PC
Does it have Xinput? As in, will it automatically work with games that accept a 360 controller on PC?
Jeremiah Ross
I swear to fucking god, this is the only thread that today talks about the positive side of the Nintendo Switch.
Brayden Bell
Its an extra to the switch though, thinking of getting one but that pricde is a little too high.
Andrew Moore
does it have analog triggers?
Jack Thomas
No
Matthew Moore
fucking dropped
Cooper Wood
the pro controller is $60 dumbass, the two joycon bundle is $80
Jackson Allen
Where'd you see the pro controller for $80? holy shit. I got it for $60
Evan Taylor
>literally says it doesn't work with the usb
John Smith
It's via Bluetooth only. Connecting it via USB will only charge it. It's a damn shame since I don't have bluetooth and got fucked over getting chinked by a cheap bluetooth reciever.
