It's a free game and it's pretty meta, going as far as requiring your name as the player and you being referred to in story elements. It's an RPG and is easy to understand as for as RPGs go.

yeah
the main story is very serious and hard hitting but it has a lot of dark humour spread throughout it
there is also a sequel but I didn't enjoy it much. the first game stands on its own very well, luckily
