What the literal fuck
What the literal fuck
>A mobile chip inside a 7 inch tablet thingy doesn't perform that great after all
Whoa who woulda thunk it
It's just like TP where the Gamecube version was the definitive one
...
They'll patch it.
It's just a beta!
>they'll patch lack of processing power
Reminds of that time nintendo fans actually believed a software update will triple WiiU's performance.
Pcfags only talking about fps, nothing new here
I'm having so much fun with this game I haven't even noticed the framerate
The Wii U version already has framedrops up the ass, and you tell me docked Switch performs even worse than a Wii U? A console with a GPU as strong as a fucking Radeon HD 4650 from 9 years ago?
>an actual console performs better than a shitty tablet coated in bittering agent so people don't eat it
No, really?
20fps on anything in 2017 is unacceptable
Undocked Switch runs better than both
But it's weird that they can't pinpoint a cause. Maybe I've heard wrong, but they explain that in the great plateau both versions will have drops but while the Wii U "fixes" itself the Switch will keep getting drops in that specific spot. They mentioned something about RAM or streaming as possible explanation but i watched distractly
They said they're gonna make more videos about it. People playing the Wii U version more or less all report drops while visiting towns and generally busy areas but DF didn't point out anything similar after reviewing the Switch version
I doubt even Nintoddlers were retarded enough to fall for that.
>Undocked Switch runs better than both
It's not hard to figure out why.
Switch is an overclocked Wii U.
Wii U has problems with the game at 720p.
Being stronger than a Wii U, Switch has no problems with 720p on handheld mode
Docked Switch ups the resolution to 900p, which makes the system have trouble because it's not really that strong after all.
>implying you didn't download more ram
>Switch is an overclocked Wii U.
If only, then there would be backward compatibility.
Faggot.
Wii U runs at 640p.
Switch runs at 900p when docked like in the screenshot.
Go figure.
I'm loving the game so far but hopefully they patch this, the fps drops are really bad. Makes Bloodborne look smooth as butter.
>inb4 they can't patch that!
Bloodborne got a patch that made the load times MUCH better and made the fps a little better.
I have the Wii U version and the framerate dips into nearly single digits in any town, consistently. I have a hard time believing the switch version is worse than the wii u version.
Why were any of you expecting powerful hardware from Nintendo? They're console specs are always shit
Is this docked? I plan on playing it handheld only. Most of the vids and pics I saw showed 30 FPS for the most part on handheld mode
nintenbros literally btfo
Yes it's docked. it actually preforms worse on the dock than off, because the dock overclocking it isn't enough to keep up with the upgrade to 900p.
You really don't understand what overclocking means now do you?
It's a fucking hyperbole, retard
Like how people say the Wii is just an overclocked gamecube
...
It's not, people saying that are lying. The switch version just drops fps for a few seconds every now and again in combat or when there's a shitload of fire around, and that's only when docked. In handheld mode it drops very infrequently.
>a shitty tablet coated in bittering agent so people don't eat it
As someone who's been playing videogames at 60+FPS and 2.5k I don't understand how people can play on a GPS sized screen and still put up with 30FPS.
Nice damage control user
Well the game was originally a Wii U title. The switch is a ported version
Yeah, fuck docked Switch. I'm playing botw in handheld only and it's crispy af. The game on a tv looks much, much worse.
this thread was right next to this one
This is pathetic, a console game that cant maintain a reasonably steady 30fps shouldn't even be released, isnt that the whole reason shitters buy consoles so they have the assurance that the games they buy will run.
That's why I play on PC. Unfortunately I'm at uni and don't have my PC with me nor do I have a TV in my room, all that stayed home, so portable consoles are the next best thing for me. I am looking forward to some future titles on the Switch, hopefully with better frame rate. Still stable 30 fps isn't horrifying to me
That's because you're looking at a horribly upscaled 900P image on what I assume is at least a 1080P HD TV. In portable mode its a 1:1 720p render on a 720p screen.
Can't you just download RAM and then 3D print it now?
>Wii U runs at 640p.
720P
>4650
>tfw 4970
feelsgoodman.tiff.png
>tablet vs a home console
why are sony cucks so retarded?
except everyone was talking how the Switch version would be superior
>A console with a GPU as strong as a fucking Radeon HD 4650 from 9 years ago?
Actually, its GPU is more similar to the Radeon HD 5550 from 7 years ago.
It's a cheap china piece of shit. Look at non-nonsensical layout, ghetto soldering and industrial waste style thermal paste.
>powerful hardware
correct me if I'm wrong but generally when you buy a console you expect hardware that can run the games designed for that console
It's not surprising considering it was built for the Wii U and then ported to the Switch. Hopefully Nintendo can optimize it through patches.
You don't understand? I'll give you a hint. It's because they don't know better.
the 5550 is actually worse
Weaker than the weakest of the 5 year old consoles.
>tfw this console sells at 389€
>ps4 is literally 200€ nowadays
Gee. What a hard decision.
>my $140 GPU is more than 8 times what a Wii U is
Ahaha holy fuck
The worst thing will be when Xbox Two and PS5 will come out in 2019/2020 while the switch lacks behind like 3 or 4 gens.
It is generally superior though. Better framerate and resoluton. The Wii U version also have fps drops.
The docked mode should've never been pushed so hard. Playing Zelda and Fast RMX on a portable is a mindblowing leap from 3ds and vita, while blowing them up on the tv sends you back down to reality with how old shit looks and how the system cant keep a stable framerate on either game.
is your pc a handheld?
