How did we let this happen? Who's responsible?

How did we let this happen? Who's responsible?

Battery technology has not advanced in a long long time

you're comparing technology that has less power than a fucking calculator, that used literally 0 power, to a tegra cpu that can produce console quality graphics strapped to a lithium ion battery?

jesus fuck the world.

>A console literally a million times more powerful than the other one uses more power

This better be bait. Nobody's that stupid

NGPC has a shitty game library.

Not an argument.

I have that console and game right now
I tought i was the only one with one.

switch has no game library

>literally 0 power

The switch isn't even a Handheld. Just because you can hold something in your hands doesn't make it a Handheld.

Pretty much this

The size of the power sources are what keep us from travelling around the solar system.

You're gonna feel real stupid when nintendo admits it's a handheld when the second hardware revision comes out.

I'd be interested in a handheld the size of an original gameboy, full of battery and tiny modern hardware but with a gameboy sized screen and low demand games only.

The fucker could run for a month and be just as fun as your graphics cuck games.

The 2:30 hours on zelda i feel is a little off.
Got 3:20 playing with airplane mode and brightness down.

Are you fucking dumb?

the energy consumption of the switch is way more than the heavily pixelated gameboy

Lithium battery energy density hasn't gotten much better in a decade

The government is responsible. They don't want the public to get a hold of advanced batteries that can power things nearly indefinitely because then we would all stop using the power lines and that's how they control the population. If we all had super batteries we could travel any where we wanted and not be stuck in one spot paying taxes.

Source: My dad knows a scientist who invented a battery that can power a car for 20 years but the government took all his recipes and won't let him release it to the public.

>yfw we're been using the same battery technology for 200+ years now

...

Not as shitty as virtual boy.

>stating that a console that has more processing power is obviously not gonna sustain as much lifetime as a calculator from 99'
>N..NOT AN A-ARGUMENT

Holy shit just end yourself

Card Clash is absolutely baller.

It is though.
Battery technology fucking stopped advancing years ago. A more powerful and energy consuming console will eat through battery power more so than a console that is akin to modern day calculators on energy consumption.

Saying "not a argument" just tells us that you don't have a argument.

my dad works at nintendo

>recipes

You have games on Neo Geo Pocket.

Don't ever respond to people who post "not an argument" they're just shit posting and not actually going to give you any decent counters.

>console quality graphics

but let's compare it to smartphones. Why an iphone can survive nearly the longest on a much smaller battery than an average android phone? Why do this years galaxy phones survive a lot with placeing 3000mah, longer than a huawei with 3600 which has less power? Because optimisation and other shits like that. Nintendo, with the size of that brick could literally take 30% of the space and dedicate it to battery, or just optimize the software. Haven't played the thing tho, if it is really able to pull off ps4 tier games or something like dark souls/witcher/fallout on it, I am ok with it being only 2,5 hours since 3ds is similar to that.

It's the same battery life as the Vita and 3DS

Because contrary to popular belief Phones aren't powerful and have multiple functions in place to lower battery consumption.
A phone isn't even a 3rd as powerful as the Switch.
Which is why all your phone games are the same shit over and over again. low poly runners to sprite based bullshit.

>Why an iphone can survive nearly the longest on a much smaller battery than an average android phone?
because unlike iphones the android OS is designed to run on a plethora of different hardware solutions. iOS is designed to run on one or two configurations which means iOS developers can write code strictly for the hardware which means they usually last longer.

surprisingly enough, rendering a large 3d world and constantly maintaining it requires a lot of battery power.
fucking idiot.
