Nintendo Switch sales could hit 5m this year, says Gamestop

EXPERTS reckon Nintendo is going to sell a ton of Switch consoles by the end of the year.

They're claiming up to five million units will have been shifted by Christmas.

If so, that would mark a dramatic turnaround for the games company which only managed to sell 14million Wii U machines in its entire lifetime.

Where were you when Nintendo won?

>could
And I could win the lottery but I don't see it happening

>Trump could win the elections but I don't see it happening

splatoon is gonna ensure a few million units all by itself. Zelda isn't Japan cup of tea.

Wait 5m is good?
How many units did the ps4 sell during the first year?

Not that many,,,

Nintendo can't even get to Dreamcast/Sega Saturn numbers.

5m just for gamestop is pretty good. Do they even have gamestop in nippon?

It sold 4.2 million in 2013 but it released in November of that year.

Just looked it up.
The PS4 already passed 5M sales in February 2014
That is barely more than 2 months and it wasn't even released in Japan at that time.

Also, the Wii U sold more than 5 million units in one year.

15 millions

good to hear

competition is always a positive for consumers

This thread backfired huh Nintenbro?

>4m
>PS4 at like 70m at this point if you count pros.
>Still outsold the Switch on Amazon the month it dropped.

kek

I don't see this happening at all. I don't see how this console has any sort of mainstream appeal at the current price point. In fact I expect a mass amount of people returning it after they're done with Zelda since there's simply no content for the thing coming until November.

It's really like I am back in 2012

God, Sony completely destroyed Nintendo, they really can't compete.

>Where were you when Nintendo won?

I think I was born around that time.
