'EY CHIEF

'EY CHIEF

I beat the new Torment Thursday and it was so disappointing. Thanks for posting a good character.

Alright

Done

I'm gone

One foot in the grave, the other in hell

I only ever heard this line in GemRB

come back!

'sup?

Daily reminder that Grace > Annah

AM HURT

>Grace
>Literally a Demon slut

>Annah
>Literally a half-demon slut

I saw this game when I went to dload Septerra Core again.

I like old point and click adventure RPGs to a certain degree. Someone explain this game to me please. What's so great about it?

Oh ? I didn't started it yet, what's your main issues with it ?

No, tieflings don't work that way. Half-demons are Cambions or Alu-fiends and they really are fucking evil. The lady that runs the curiosity shop and hates grace is an example of this.

Tieflings have some fiendish heritage but they're pretty low down on the genetic pole, where it just happens to pop back up again and exert itself. Like one of their great-great grandfathers may have been a fiend.

you look trustworthy

Not him, but it's too short.

It feels like Planescape ended shortly after meeting Pharod.

How the fuck do I use magic in this game?

become a wizard.
Or recruit one. There are two available, but one of them is a real jerk.

DON'T TRUST THE SKULL

The characters feel great and fleshed out and the world is interesting enough to make the lore dumps enjoyable.

The main theme is is also interesting enough due to it mostly relying on philosophy which the game tends to spend a lot of time waxing on, and the ending wraps up the question in an excellent manner while still being an enjoyable ending.

Shit, that's far too short.

>only 1 build is viable - the game
how do people enjoy this shit

Also not him, but it felt really truncated. You can tell they had to cut lots of things/locations that would have fleshed out the story arc more. It's also pretty ugly for a game made by experienxed devs in this day and age - it's presentation looks straight out of the 90s and unpolished at that. I was also disappointed at how barebones the music and sound design was, I was expecting character themes and motifs like in Planescape not a bunch of sfx with the occasional tune thrown in.

I still found the narrative pretty compelling but that's pretty much down to personal taste and I can see this game pleasing very few people.

No I mean how do I prep and use spells?

I know it's based off the D&D system but I've never played D&D.

Spellbook icon in the bottom right.

What the FUCK is the Practical Incarnation's problem?

He didn't have another genius edgelord to crib notes from like you did. If your incarnation of TNO didn't have the Practical Incarnation's writings and memories to go off, you'd never survive.

>Great setting
>Great characters
>Great dialogue (which is important because 60% of this game is reading)
>Great story
>Great options and dialogue trees that will alter the way characters interact with you, if they're friendly or hostile, unlocks secrets, gives you new areas to explore. Dialogue options are directly related to your INT, WIS and CHA scores
>Beautiful backgrounds
>Awesome music
>Great atmosphere
>Lots of different ways to approach key situations
>It literally really made me think

...

...

That's a fantastic point. The game sets up a really ambitious story but still manages to put it all together and tie up the loose ends. There are a lot of games that don't manage to.

This game was genuinely funny.

>tfw pirated Torment: ToN and can't enjoy it at all because I can't help but compare it to the much superior PS:T

I guess they're asking for it when they describe their game as a "spiritual successor," but holy shit.

Every time I try to judge the game on it's own merits, some blatant thievery pops up and I'm reminded of how much better Planescape is.

even if you judge it on its own merits the game is shit

>Annah
>Literally half a demon, whole slut.

Alright so I love planescape torment and fallout 1/2.

I havent played many of these new crpg's like numeria and path of exile. I've played Divinity Original Sin but while the mechanics and combat were great the story and setting was shit.

Are any of these new crpgs interesting story-wise? Like planescape and fallout are?

Pillars of Eternity is
But ignore the backer NPc
They have a gold name plate

>A tip on the loading screens tells you to make sure to finish up all quests when someone tells you you might not be able to return.
>The very next area the same is not signposted at all
>Left four quests unfinished
I was fine up until then, and I can't bring myself to restart now. Another game I will never finish to add to the pile.

Not really.

I enjoyed Shadowrun Dragonfall and Hong Kong's story and gameplay, but besides that they have ranged from mediocre to trash.

what the hell? you sure you didn't just rush it?

max wisdom and intelligence so you dont have to fight

What did he mean by this?
