- Making a game on PC
- Adapting the game to run on your hardware
- Selling the game on shitty bluerays or SD cards
- Emulation becomes a thing and your game will return to the PC sooner or later

I hacked my 3ds last year, for some reason GBA emulation keeps running after I close the screen. Plus it can't run SNES or DS games (without a flash cart), so I just stick to my psp.

Theres a reason why it's hard to build a PS4 or Xbox killer for the same price/performance. If developers focused on this, it would make it much easier.

Also emulation isn't that easy. Xbox is far from fully emulated on PC. Even with superior hardware, modern cpus struggle interpreting Xbox specific instructions in real time. Nintendo is the only real exception to the rule.

O3DS can run SNES games using SNES9X and can run them natively with N3DS. Also GBA running after you close the lid is an issue that's been in the 3DS since day 1 but can usually be patched to work.

thats because the nvida chip in the original xbox handled sound and graphics its docs where under nda and microsoft had to give the datasheets back after the xbox was eol. what the xbox emulator is based off is the chihiro arcade board docs which are different. basically the chip in the xbox that did sound was Sega Saturn levels of weird

they got internal documentation for the wiiu, that's why it's closed source. Otherwise this would not have been possible.
