SUFFER ME NOW

I might replay it too, user.

The game sucked ass
No idea why it's getting a sequel

OCHEDIN VALANNOR

Dude I'm currently in the midst of replaying it for the second time after quitting it for the first and I had no idea there was a second area
This changes everything

what games do you like? Pedobait weebshit?

Thought so.

Enjoy that second area because it's the only other area there is.

Is the DLC worth playing?

It gets better when you can make them your bitches

It was insultingly easy and the only time the game ever worked as intended was when it spawned an orc that was basically invulnerable to everything, and therefore could kick you around if you were new. That was literally the only time I died and developed a "nemesis", I came back like 3 hours later and mopped the floor with him.

In the next one they better not go with the Ass Creed angle again, otherwise it'll be more of the same.

jeff?

Not really, it's the same areas from the main game reused with slightly different skills.

Yes. There's an actual bossfight in it

Personally I got kinda tired of so many orcs. It was basically like playing an assassin's creed with full notoriety all the time. Doing anything in the game involves killing at least 20 orcs on top of whatever else

I hope there is a harder difficulty that makes the orcs less retarded, the game got less fun once become the norm.
Mucking around with the orc was a nice distraction though and Celebrimbor is pretty dope despite sounding like Armstrong in the DLC

What second area?

It is fun, like a mashup of Arkham games and AssCreed, but with LOTR.

It's ad that it's a sleeper hit.

Though you can blame that on one of the PR guys, who only gave review copies to people who promised to give good reviews.

>lotr game
>wonders why his enemies are orcs

THIS ONE TIME IN THIRD GRADE I STOLE PEANUTS FROM MY CLASS MATE AND I GOT GROUNDED FOR 2 WEEKS

>difficulty for 5 year olds
>short
>QTE final boss (not like the combat system is worth a damn anyway)
>Ubisoft tier open world

This game is a cancer on video games.

should have stopped, the second area is where the game falls apart

It does get repetitive and very. Hopefully they'll spice things up a bit in the sequel.

So what happens if you kill all the enemies and never die? I bought the game and made it what must've been a third of the way through the game, killing most of the generals, and then refunded it because it was no fun and too simplistic.

There's plenty of other things to kill in LoTR
Goblins, trolls, shitloads of undead, various savage humans, Easterlings, Rohimam raiders, the Men of Mordor.

very easy*

the second area is where the game peaks because it's actually nice to look at and you have most of your skills unlocked so you get to fuck around
as soon as you leave to fight the next hand guy it falls apart

After you kill the 4 warchiefs and the REAL boss of the first area a girl comes and asks for help, and it turns out she's from an area that's further in Mordor, that's WAY more colorful and vibrant than the first area, and the armies for each area are different (5 more warchiefs).

>calling an interactive movie a game

die from cancer.

Oh right. Yeah I did that.
I was thinking darn, I finished the game twice and never knew there was a second area lol.

getting mixed feelings here

>Decapitate an Orc
>He comes back

Yeah it was. Dunno about a sequel though. Guess I'll buy it on cheap like I did the first.

Gameplay video in 2 days.
Pls b good

Sauron's an extra good necromancer.

Maybe they're ALL banished from death user, that's why they get more power after coming back too

then play it if you want instead of asking strangers on the internet.

Would have been a very forgettable game, but the nemesis gimmick actually worked really well.

They have to shill somehow since the new game was announced

youtube.com/watch?v=6AV9W2ZdmjU

>Batman combat
>crappy AC assassinations
>Nemesis system doesn't work half the time and is just used to pad the game
>Brand is only introduced halfway into the game
>world/level design is absolute shit

I would actually love it for what it is if it weren't a LOTR game

the nemesis system is a great idea which was badly implemented

They did a very good job with the variety of orc chieftains or whatever. The nemesis system is a great innovation, and I have high hopes for it in other games.

The combat is obviously really basic, but I think the main thing a sequel needs is more enemy variety. The LotR universe has many more enemies than just orcs.

This is just personal preference, but I think it was a mistake to make the lush green area after the desolate brown area. And you never really go back, so maybe it should have been one massive area with half or a third of it unlocking as you progress.

The problem is that after a certain point, you can get really game breaking skills that make you really OP. Hopefully they will improve on it in the sequel.

Everytime I see this video I'm always by how hard his fans are sucking his dick in the comments

Yeah the combats not hard but the game is about the Nemesis system

How much will they pay me to shill? I'm hurting for some extra cash. Hope they pay me extra if I falseflag.

Sorry bro, we're full. You can come here and suck us off while we're astroturfing, I'll pay you 5 bucks per nut

Why are the main quests so damn boring? Running around killing random orcs is a lot more fun.

This.

I actually had a lot of fun with it, but I never once felt like I was actually challenged. The nemesis system was pretty cool, but you only get to experience it if you suck at the game. I found myself actively allowing captains to escape just to make things fun later, but you gain enough abilities to make yourself very difficult to kill around 20% in, and by 50% of the way through the game you basically can't die anymore.

By that logic I guess DMC 3 and 4 suck shit since I can just spam stinger the entire game and win like he was spamming shit.

That's the point of the game, isn't it? I just assumed becoming an orcslaying machine was the objective.

No matter how good I got, and I would only admit this on an anonymous board, caragors could still get me more often than not.

how about games without terrible gameplay. literally asscreed/batman shit

Can you turn off your monitor and still win like he did? If you can they suck too

Bamham gameplay is fub as fuck. Just needs to be more difficult

One good system doesn't excuse the rest of the game being bland as fuck.

please make a video.
i'll hold your hand if you manage to do it on one of the hard difficulties

heh

Would just adding more/better bosses be enough? I think the majority of enemies should be fodder with some tough captains, then occasionally very challenging bosses.

Not that it wasn't enjoyable, but a bit more challenge would've been nice.

I really liked the quests where you can kill an orc that killed someone else online.

Shadow of Mordor can be pretty fun if you try stealthing your way through the game. The Bam Ham ripoff combat is boring as tits.

Arkham origins did this and it was fun at first but they just threw more of the elite enemies in later fights and it just meant they took longer rather than making them harder.

I prefer what Knight did and have the standard enemies support each other since it means they can be a a decent threat if you let them

I'm not defending the gameplay in large but I was pretty deceived thinking you could do such a thing. It turns out after 5 minutes playing though that you can't do that. There are enemies that counter if you attack them without stunning them, shield guys that can't be parried or attacked from the front, guys throwing javelins that do pretty hefty damage, obviously the beasts that would tear you up, etc etc.

RIP Ratbag

I think more ways of engaging captains would be interesting. Using more of the environment and also a better way of setting up kills is one way.

I don't think you can do this if you go against bosses that carry spears/projectiles

Consolefag here, played it on 360, graphics were ass, the gameplay was laggy as fuck and full of bugs.
Got an xbone now, do i upgrade? I heard they added more shit to that version is it way better than the 360 version?

End of Knight was great when you had shield guys, gun guys, stun baton guys, big guys, ninjas, medics etc. Using all of the gadgets to win a huge fight without getting hit was very satisfying.

Devil May Fart was always an overrated garbage game series.

Ninja Gaiden Black is 100x superior action game.

The nemesis system is garbage 99% of the time after the initial novelty wears off.

>Enconter a general
>I will roast your head for dinner
>Enrages easily
>Fearless

>Cutscene to another general jumping in

Kill yourself, the game is dogshit.

>Calling pretty much anything an interactive movie these days

I'm dying of cancer, alright. All of Sup Forums is.

You can't even do it against anything other than the standard trash Uruks which only exist to be meat shields anyways.

It looks and runs well on PS4. The nemesis system is also better

You should sue the devs to pay the chemo

Thoughts?

No thanks, I only go for lolis.

I want a prequel where you play as Glorfindel. Just go ahead and put Christopher out of his misery.

I'm a loli with a dick though

The game is gonna be $8 after a few months, just like the first one.

It's funny they call the DLC expansions

That's just a shota you dunce

I mean the ending was pure sequelbait and it's being backed by WB so...

Stop advertising this fucking nerd channel as it's prove anything.

Loved the nemesis system in the game.

>first time playing wandering around ganking orcs
>random named Orc ambushes me, killing me
>scene of him getting promoted
>take it personal and specifically go looking for the sumbitch
>end up getting into a fight with a different named Orc nearby
>just barely win the fight with almost no HP left
>old nemesis suddenly ambushes me and finishes me off - promoted again
>clash multiple more times with him, usually with me being forced to flee
>finally kill him, cutting his head off
>about an hour later finishing a difficult fight and he ambushes me, head sewn back to his neck and kills me

Shit was real personal. Shocking how much the game makes you care.

>360 version
That's fucking nothing, I played and almost beat the PS3 version. You haven't seen true hell until you've played Shadow of Mordor on PS3.

I've already pre-ordered the Mithril Edition

Any lore fags care to explain why the game is generally perceived as non canon?

>mfw shitter with explosive arrows kills you in two hits.

>perceived
Tolkien didn't write it so it's, by definition, fan fiction i.e. not canon.

Well it's non-canon since the devs said so themselves and that it's it's own separate canon now.
But stuff like celebrimbor and Talion existing let alone merging is a big thing.
Smeagol wasn't in mordor at the time the game takes place.
Celebrimbor was no where near as active as he is in the games, cause he was fucking dead dead
The black hand and his mates are all made up for the game.

I fucking hate AC and Batman but I love LOTR so much, would I have fun with this? I'll be willing to ignore some flaws like combat if the rest of the game is fun.

So there's actually a chance of us destroying Sauron instead of "lol we weakened him so the Fellowship will have an easier time destroying the ring in the future!"?

Best orc

YOU WILL NOT RESIST
yeah, I can't wait for the sequel

The game is super fun, its just autist complaining that their story isn't metroid m; or its not 100% juice, or people who wanted a mgs1 tier 2 deep 4 u story.

Probably not, combat is like 90% of the game

Ratbag was too pure for this world.

Doubtful considering Saurons death is such a major event, it'd be fucked on the level of Talion doing an asspull and claiming the Throne of Gondor for himself

I liked building up a team of super orcs to make an actual boss fight.

jesus christ I thought that mithril edition in your pic was a joke. What the fuck? Will people actually buy that?

I was going to get it day one but this jew shit ensured I buy the goty edition for like 15 bucks.

>tfw buying a AAA game with all the dlc for $5

>head sewn back to his neck and kills me
I've never seen this before.
What're your favorite variations?
I got one or two whose brains were exposed and could see Celebrimbor.

That was my favorite part of the game hands down, seeing the squad wreck shit at the end. I hope the sequel doubles down on that - maybe you can bring one of your lieutenants into the field with you?
