Explain this

Explain this.

How stupid can you be to scratch a screen by just placing it in a plastic box? Do people just slam it at full force into the dock or what? How can you get this level of stupidity?

They have to design their products around this possibility because yes people will put it in too roughly. They know this and yet they still made it that simple to damage

It's just that the switch is really wobbly inside the dock.

It's called SHITTY DESIGN.

Nintendo are infamous for SHITTY DESIGN.

>Switch gets screatched just by sliding it in and out of dock
>Joycon straps can be placed on backwards and get stuck and easily broken when taking them off
>JoyCOns desync from console
>no way to charge Switch in table top mode (unless you buy a separate adapter)
>no way to charge JoyCons while you play (unless you buy a separate charginf grip

No exaggeration to say that teh Switch is the WORST designed console in years, possible EVER.

>buying Nintendo hardware day 1

I SHYGGYDIGGYDO

It's a gimmicky and shit console that will further help nintendo become irrelevant

>How stupid can you be to scratch a screen by just placing it in a plastic box?

They're not the stupid ones than. Whoever designed the packaging sucks. Also those putting the shit in the packaging don't give a flying fuck since they get paid min chinese wage and probably even less.

The screen is plastic. Plastic is super soft, you can even scratch it with a nail. It's not surprising since most cheap electronics with a screen use plastic not glass to cover it. My old PSP also had a plastic screen.

It's garbage, but you get what you pay for.

>his screen remains unscratched because he gets his Switch in smoothly every single time due to his raging OCD and autism
>normal people let their kids & friends use it, or put it in the dock when they're drunk or stoned or just tired and they don't take extra caution like a dork so their screens will be scratched to shit in a year

I guess autism has its perks

Its plastic rubbing against plastic. Putting it in slowly can still slowly scratch the surface since its a harder plastic (dock) rubbing against a softer one (screen).

FUCKING SHILLS, THEY EVEN PAY PEOPLE TO PHOTOSHOP SCRATCHES. THIS IS THE REAL PICTURE.

>Be me
>Be a piece of shit
>Get paid to go lie on the internet
>Still haven realised I'm a white version of "will suck dick for crack"
>Ahh can't wait for next week, we're doing some sick memes on sheldit for Oreo. I already have tons of ideas.

I think its the same as OP, just zoomed in

No amount of shilling, superbowl comercials can save a BAD idea. Wait till they anounce the portable only version, with no detachable joycons.
"We will still support TV output games"

Zomed in and more clear. We're not on CSI, which means he blurred the original one to make it look like minor scratches.

How is a scratch like this possible? Did the person try to slide it in sideways?

>>no way to charge JoyCons while you play (unless you buy a separate charginf grip

So the console itself AND the joycons run out of batteries? No fucking way.

damn... I thought they'd put some kind of microfiber lining on the dock. fucking hell

You're missing the point, retard.

You can't charge the Joycons while playing in docked mode unless you buy a charging grip for $30.

i can charge my PS4 controller while I play.

I can charge my Xbone controller while I play.

Why are Nintendo charginf me $30 for basic charging functionality?

Go fuck yourself. you can't defend this shit.

youtube.com/watch?v=mS18UFiTrAo

microfiber would scratch it too after a period of time

The "charge grip" is literally a meme. The normal grip that the system comes with has 4 LEDs on each side to show the battery level of each joycon when connected to it. I played for 5-6 hours straight yesterday and both joycons were still reading above 75% charge. I just slid them back into the docked system when I went to sleep and they charged automatically, with USB-C stopping them from overcharging without worry. I have to assume people saying otherwise have never touched the system.

>slide something over a plastic screen to dock it
Just straight up bad design. If you want something to scrape against your screen then try making it not fucking plastic.

I bet some of the first third party add ons will be microfiber thongs you put the console in before docking

Jack of all trades, master of none.

i need 1 daddy

its fucking plastic, you can literally scratch it with your nail

it's jap shit, they literally cant make quality products because they are cheap bastards and they know you're stupid enough to buy it.

And what if you forget to charge overnight?

What happens when the battery life deteriorates over time?

It's shitty design and inexcusable.

Charging grip should have been included as standard.

>3:00 the switch thinks its R2-D2

This. But Nintenbros always try to shift the blame into the consumer because Nintendo cant do no wrong.

i fucking told you guys this would happen

when a company that can't design a clamshell handheld that doesn't scratch itself, you have to wonder how the fuck you're supposed to dock a unit with a built in screen into a housing unit that has zero clearance

i really hope that retard who tried to tell me that you can't scratch a screen with plastic because it's softer is here to see this

Even if they only hold half the charge later on, that's still 10 fucking hours. Also the grip is super uncomfortable, even the joycons without the little slides are more comfortable to play with.

Poor design from a company that builds its systems around entertaining children. You think the dumb fuck adults fuck these things up? Wait for the faggot kids slamming them and yanking them out, dumping docks on the ground, dropping the fuckin thing.

nah.

>Why are Nintendo charginf me $30 for basic charging functionality?
because we wuz ice cubes an sheeeit

This is the same company that made 3DS that scratched its own screen, wouldn't admit it and got blacklisted from amazon for like 2 years.

Unfortunately this. Nintendo knows they make and market their games and consoles for children. You'd figure tard-proofing their shit would be priority one.

>got blacklisted from amazon for like 2 years.
Wut

>being so fucking retarded that you place the joycons on backwards
Lol, kill yourself, you stupid fucking piece of shit.

Amazon stopped carrying Nintendo hardware for a long time. During the early 3DS days. You had to buy from third parties and everything was overpriced. This was in the US only.

Are all the issues exclusive to the neon version? My grey Switch is fine and all the pictures I've seen of scratched screens, blue screens, bad screens, joycon issues, etc. have been with neon Switches.

>Treats his games like shit and whines about damage
>He needs more than 3 hours to finish his games
Git gud faggit.

Also
>He plans on playing more than 3 fucking hours in handheld mode
Why the fuck would you do that anyways? Don't you have better things to do than to play this shit in public for 3 hours? Don't you own a fucking TV to play and charge the shit?

>Consumer uses product in retarded unintended ways
>Suddenly it's the company's responsibility to wipe the ass of those retards

Triggered, this is the way that my body distributes fat and im a male, luckily aside from the tits

My weight fluctuated up 40 pounds and then down 25 and no one noticed, so there's that

What kind of answer is "nah" anyway? Don't you mean "yah"?

Pics or you're fucking lying.

Those scratches look weird to me.
I thought they'd follow a pattern given the scratch should happen by pulling and inserting the Switch on the dock.

It's fucking amazing that a fucking iPad mini costs less and has more powerful hardware specifications and doesn't feature any of these stupid hardware issues like scratchy screens.

Nintenbros are literally ok with paying more for garbage that's more overpriced than Apple products, and Appleshit is already bad enough.

Ain't no way in hell am I going to be careless about my switch. (When I get one)

No, the prize to worst designed ever is the Virtual Boy. You can't play for 15 minutes without neck pain and your eyes being strained from so much red.

If you're a low test cuck.

>Scratch on the very side edge, off centered where no one looks
>doesn't seem like it would affect gameplay or visuals.

but "REEEE" amiright?

>scratch slightly on the screen, continues offscreen, your eyes following it so you notice the whole fucking mess
>sideways scratches

how the fuck did they do this. Now a scratch like this is something i'd get assblasted over.

Priorities guys

Doesn't the Switch itself charge the joycons even in portable mode?

I got a neon one. Nope, mine is fine. Anti-shills are in damage control their commissioned company will soon go bankruptcy in a few years.

you bought an expensive electronic but were too cheap to buy a couple of screen protectors that cost only a couple of dollars

you've really only got yourself to blame

Do you remember how with the jewel cases for playstation one games, they had those plastic nubs to keep the manual from slipping out? The Switch's dock has plastic nubs on the inside to hold the Switch in place when it is resting within. These plastic nubs rub against the plastic screen when you place the device into the dock, or take it out. Since they are both made of the same material, they scratch the screen. Many people have been uploading youtube videos to show how to fix this. Mainly, you either use a protector, or place something soft on that inner side of the dock so the Switch rubs against that soft object instead of the plastic nubs. Some people are just using the wipe cloth that comes with the system and gently laying that on the inner part so it slides past the screen instead of the nubs.

How is using the console the way it's intended to be used retarded, you stupid cunt?

Literally sliding the Switch in and out of the dock SCRATCHES the bezel and/or screen.

...is oftentimes better than master of one.

You applied too much force to one side when sliding it in or out. If you keep having these problems, maybe the switch is not the console for you.

From what I understand it really is due to people forcing it and bending the dock. Why even though? It slides in with no effort.

youtube.com/watch?v=mS18UFiTrAo

Nintendbros will defend this

>Wait till they anounce the portable only version, with no detachable joycons.
You mean the WII U?

Some docks came bent inward and I guess people didnt notice? Shoved the switch in there and bam scratched

I got mine scratched today actually. Fell off the cabinet onto the carpet while docked and now there's a massive scratch on the bottom center of the screen. Now I don't know if I can get it returned or replace the screen.

it's just poor design really

I work in consumer electronics and any company worth its salt should test all the possible things that could happen to the product

the switch feels like it was done by indian and chinese interns

You'll just have to take my word for it homo genetics are a crazy thing

>How can you scratch your shit.

Poorly made.
Played by children.

/thread.

to add on one more thing, I know that girl eats like shit and is extremely unhealthy, she's worse than my worst.

I really love BotW atm, I thought i was too jaded to enjoy a game the way that I am right now, especially a single player game. I bought the switch because I didn't own a wii-u and I wanted to play the next iteration of a 3d zelda. This game not only lived up to the hype in terms of gameplay, but blew my mind in terms of scope and length. Im around 15 hours in and I still have 3 hearts and haven't come close to a dungeon.

Neon here. My screen's perfectly fine. These are likely isolated issues.

this. nintendo clearly does not want children to use their system. cautious, mature adults are the switch's intended audience. please handle the system delicately, like you would a fragile vase.
