I just got to the part where "Zero Dawn" is explained.

So Where the fuck did the new humans learn english?

They were thought English by the robot servitors that gestated/raised the first "batch" of humans when Gaia was trying to restart life.

That said, given how long its been since then (enough for tribal culture to develop), the language should have changed significantly (we would really struggle to understand english from the middle ages, or it should sounds like the gibberish english from Cloud Atlas)

It could also be like most fiction where they speak English just so you could understand. Like movies that take place only in another country yet everyone speaks English. Which I hate.

It's a game, just like how alien races in Stargate and Star Trek magically know english.
i think it's also explained that all of earths history was recorded in English, Mandarin, Spanish, and Arabic.
Also Gaia is the one choosing how to recreate the earth so I assume it taught the new humans how to do stuff.

It's directly shown in one of the bunkers - you can see scenes via your focus of robot servitors/nannies talking directly to groups of the first batch of humans when they're toddlers (can't remember if it's in that bunker or after it)

Just started the game, enjoying it a lot, I love the hunting. My autistic tic on the setting is the huge disparity of tech between the animals and the people. They have bows an that explode, electrocute etc but their normal lives are primitive tribal. At what point does tech become heretical?

The Nora are the only tribe that we see that are against technology, everyone outside has focus' n shiet.

The solution would be to make sure their lips aren't synced to the english so that you get a hint that they aren't actually speaking the english that you (the player) are hearing.

They do sort of address the issue of changing linguistics. Obviously the English language was passed down by the original "new" humans that were raised and taught by the robot multiservitors, but since then some of the words in that language have been forgotten due to not being used for generations. For instance, Sylens has to explain certain words to Aloy, like network and corporation, because it's clear she has never heard those terms before. There are other scenes where we see here attempting to work out other words and phrases used during cutscenes involving audio/video logs.

Linguistic drift probably hasn't become a problem yet because there's hoards of ancient technology left behind that can only be used if you understand proper English, so there's a pretty big incentive for languages to avoid changing overly much.

That 300,000 number was days, not years. The old humans have been gone for approximately 1000 years prior to the events of the game.
