They don't push for new exclusive IPs as much as Sony because the Xbox's games are just an accessory for W10. Things like ReCore, Quantum Break, and the late Scalebound just don't seem to have the draw for people to want to get the system.

They could potentially be keeping stuff under wraps for the Scorpio. As of right now, the only thing of note on the horizon is Sea of Thieves and that's not exactly a system seller.

I actually really like the console. I'm playing right now actually. I'm in between Forza Horizon 3 matches.

The controllers are amazing, and going all digital actually feels viable here with how its laid out.

Problem is digital games are still too expensive for everyone to be converted. You can get Sunset Overdrive at your local mom and pop shop for $10 and get a cool case and everything or you can pay $40 on Xbox Live and have to download all the shit and run up your bandwidth limit.

The games that support HDR look amazing (only have FH3 and Gears 4 of these, looking at RE7 maybe) and its the only console that supports UHD blu ray, even if I stream most of the time, its a nice addition.

The launch was so bungle though. First the said you need to check in every 24 hours or you can't play your games. Then they said Kinect needs to be connected to power on. Then they said you can sell physical games but only through some convoluted "microsoft approved license" process or whatever that they never expended on.

Of course, today, you can play connected or not, modern models don't even come with a kinect port (though you can use USB), and physical games work like they always have.

If they had done NOT THAT they would be in such a good position.

Do you think even the bros know that xbox will only get western games? Do you think they care?

I don't think they can sell a system on halo, gears and forza.

The lack of game is what made it pretty weak. Most of the games releasing on PC or being straight downgrade compared to the Ps4 make it a bad choice.

The Kinect thing was stupid but the biggest problem is it's less powerful than the competition. Multiplatform games looked better on PS4 (unlike 360 where multiplats looked better there than PS3) and it spiraled from there.

If you want to be low power you can do that, just look at Nintendo. But you need exciting exclusives to do that, which Nintendo always has. If Halo 5 was a great game the whole gen could've been different.

I never played it. The disc is brand new, I put it in the console and... nothing. No change to the UI to show me the disc I placed in. Just more ads on the side.

Halo the Master Chief Collection is great now that it's completely fixed, but those early fuckups were pretty damning.

The good news in all of this is if Microsoft decides to make a new console after this, they wont fall for the same early mistakes they did for the xbone. It was an expensive, but important lesson

I tried to remove the disc to try to put a new disc in and it changed the UI a little saying Master Chief collection Installation, then installation canceled. And then I could not place a disc in the system anymore. Tried to close the system and now the power light is blinking while not wanting to totally close.

I cant even reboot the system now.

The snap feature is the best console feature I've ever used. Xbox 360 and now xbox one have the best UI options for when you're in game. The ps3 was even better than ps4 UI when in game.

Man REmake, Resident Evil 4, Eternal Darkness, F-Zero GX and the best version of Killer 7 were worth the system alone for me. Of course I played many others, but those fulfilled my 5 games rule for purchase.

The game is seen, but the install wont start. It always says "check disk, might be damaged or dirty". But it's not.

Now I was able to install Recore, but Master chief wont install and Deadrising 4 install wont go over 1.40 gb before stopping and saying the disk is dirty.
