Did we watch the same trailer? It looked extremely generic to me, like they were doing their best to rip off the Walking Dead.

I was trying to ignore that bit because it was the worst plot device I'd ever heard, but okay.
We've yet to see that, and given that they thought making slot machines out of MGS games was a good idea, I have no reason to believe that this won't play like shit.

I just hate that they felt the need to attach Metal Gear to the title.
It's very clearly not going to be related to the series in any meaningful way so it's clear that they were afraid to make a new IP and just slapped Metal Gear on it as a safety net.
Like with most of these things, though, the whole thing will backfire when the installed audience rejects it because it's nothing like Metal Gear and the people who'd be into a zombie survival game ignore it because they're not familiar with the franchise.

The controversy surrounding the legacy of the franchise will make journalist and your average "gamer" disregard it on principle alone.
