>IS OK WHEN NINTENDO DOES IT.
fuck nintendo

How about you return from whence you came kid?
*shoots you in the head*

I didn't buy one and I'm certainly not retarded enough to buy and then return one.

>my entire screen is full of dead pixels
>this is characteristic of LCD screens and isn't considered a defect
Wow I'm so glad I didn't buy the Switch.

i had a couple of these on my 3ds and i still put a shit ton of hours into it, Even if this happens to my switch i'll play it

Joycons don't work
Joycons break
The consoles are bricking
Massive graphic & audio glitching
The dock scratches the switch screen quickly

This is one of the worst consoles ever and one of the worst launches. More problems are arising and it's widespread. Likely nintendo's last console.

*fucking dies*

>I have these flecks of poop in my food but I still eat it

>tfw I didn't buy a Bitch

HOLY SHIT OP I TRIED TO SHOVE THE SWITCH UP MY ASS AND I DIED! FUCKING NINTENDO PRODUCTS ARE THE WORST!

I mean, I get the comparison, but are you really suggesting that putting up with a visual annoyance is remotely on the same level as eating shit? because eating shit is healthy

...

>dead pixels on a $400 handheld is normal

yeah no, go fuck yourself.

My PSP had 15 dead pixels and Sony told me to go fuck myself. I haven't bought a handheld since.

>things that didnt happen: the post

cnet.com/news/sony-answers-psp-dead-pixel-gripes/

Nintendo
Sony
Samsung
Apple

They all say the same shit.

>The Sony representative suggested that PSP owners who encounter the pixel issue try the device "for a week or two" to see if it continues to bother them.

And then you can't take it back to the store nor get it changed under warranty. Fuck these companies

>They all say the same shit.

Because it's the reality of LCD screens. It's virtually impossible to not have some dead pixels in the mix. The reason high quality screens costs so much is as much to do with how many they have to throw away before they find a good one as it is to do with just general good build quality.

Seriously, are people actually surprised by this or is it just your typical shitposting? You'd either have to be very underage or have been living the life of a luddite to not know there's always the risk of dead pixels when you get an LCD screen and it's very difficult to get the manufacturers to acknowledge it as a defect.

It's a feature.

this

>but sony

It's okay when Nintendo does it!

That's what I'm saying, Nintendo's response is industry standard. All you can do is complain loudly enough that maybe they exchange it for you or buy from Walmart who will exchange anything as long as they have stock.

Sony said near enough the same shit when the PSP came out in 2004/05.

>stuck pixels after 3 days of use
>normal

Yeah and everybody totally ate that pile of crap up, right?

Times have changed

eurogamer.net/articles/news231104dsdeadpixels

What is it with the games industry and this fucking attitude of servile corporate loyalty? Not even Apple faggots are as insufferable, console fags and volvo drones would give their life to deflect criticism of any scummy corporate money grubbing and corner cutting. They'll praise companies even more if they see consoles released with ridiculous manufacturing defects than if a console has a smooth release. They'll praise developers for packaging black box third party DRM with their games (probably with a free bitcoin miner and spyware) like DENUVO and begin to salivate when they hear 25% of their 60 dollar game's content is on-disk but hidden behind an additional paywall.

Can someone explain this shit to me? I'm honestly baffled.

its just shitposting

Oh yeah they did. Fanboys always eat that shit up.

I'm not even talking about Sup Forums, but just the internet and people on Steam in general. It makes me think probably only 50% of what I see here is actually ironic shitposting and 50% of it is genuine.

You guys are being way too harsh on Nintendo and the Nintendo Switch. Dead pixels are normal and not a reason to return a product over.

>AND I DIED!
WTF are you a spirit?

Dead pixels are normal for defective screens that slipped through quality control and are a very good reason to return a product. If I was able get a 100% refund on a monitor that had one single dead pixel at Harvey Norman a few years back I should be able to do the same for a switch today.

People defending dead pixels in a three day old product have to be fucking retarded or trolling. Fuck, I'm retarded for replying.

How quickly did they rush this piece of shit console out?

I don't remember so many hardware defects since 33%.

Mine is defect free luckily.

This is what people are forgetting. Dead Pixels are normal if you've used it for months (thats rate), or years (still rare). But within 2-3 days? Thats absolutely insane, and is a pretty worrying sign.

I'm curious to see what some Switch screens will look like in a few months from now.

I don't quite remember, did the PS4 get this level of shitposting when it released? I don't quite remember when Sup Forums became sonyga/v/

>I'm curious to see what some Switch screens will look like in a few months from now.
Probably you won't be able to see anything but dead pixels.

>33%
Call me new but i don't know what this is

>Have none of the reported problems
Git gud

>2017
>still buying handhelds with LCD screens.
>not purchasing the vita which has an LED screen and is cheaper
>also has better battery life
>also has games
>also has 3rd party games

whats your excuse?

Didn't the Wii U have fuckloads of defects at launch too, and a lot of people's consoles bricked during set up?

And the screen is made of plastic and not gorilla glass.

Wow! You guys have already found dead pixels of good luck on your Nintendo Switches? that's great! Keep playing and maybe you'll find the hidden flickering screen and high pitched audio features!

were you playing wario ware shove it up yo own ass game?

>these are normal and should not be considered a defect

Is this real

give me a fucking link I want to see if this is real

>its not a bug
>its a feature!

Their console bricked because they were unplugging it while updating.

Every console has problems at launch.

Funny how people convientely forgot about the Ds4 thumbstick desintegrating. Or the eject button getting triggered for no reasons, hence ejecting games mid-play.

Then again Sup Forums sees an handful of defective and call this thing "rushed"

indeed it is and all drones talk about is zelda 10/10 reviews

It's 100% real.

>Consoles bricking
>Forced updates
>Defective hardware
>Horrible launch

This is literally TORtanic all over again and I'm loving every fucking minute of it.

Actually no. In terms of reliability the WiiU pretty much had no issues.

People tried to make a big deal about it bricking if you unplug it while it's updating but I shouldn't have to explain to you why that's retarded.

>Maybe if i call it a blunder and tag along with three other anons every thread it'll become reality.

You poor soul.

>being shit is a characteristic of our hardware
Niпtendrones will defend this

and? if you're such a fucking toddler you need your devices to be ~extra durable~ then go buy one of those fisher price tablets. I imagine it'll have a library more up your alley.

I'm really glad I didn't get one. With all the problems I've been having with my PS3 lately the last thing I need is for more of my things to get hardware issues.

>buying consoles at launch
You faggots didn't learn anything from the 3DS and PS4, didn't you?

Chink Shit General?

oh shit, its the PSP all over again... actually I lucked out with the PSP and didn't get any stuck pixel.

>i-i-its just normal, it'll get fixed with a patch!

Well a display that doesn't display seems appropriate for a game console with no games to play.

I can't remember how many PSP slims I went through before picking up the original model at some thrift store and never having to replace any part of it. Sony has some pretty lousy hardware sometimes.

put me in the screencap when this gets a hundred reaction image replies

>49 posters and 60+ replies

The joycons are also unwieldy pieces of shit and the pro controller is both inferior current gen controllers and overpriced.

>small numbers of stuck or dead pixels [...] are normal
>should not be considered a defect
IT'S
OKAY
WHEN
NINTENDO
DOES
IT

>Implying I bought one in the first place

I want to suck on Mai's Mais!

vita does not have an oled screen, what are you smoking

Another generation of kids redpilled on day one purchases. Who am i kidding? They didn't learn a god damned thing.

>friend removed the joy cons a grand total of one time to play in TV mode
>now the joy cons are no longer being registered and he can't charge them
high quality product

>4 days ago there was nothing but BotW and switch threads
>It comes out
>Hardware issues, bricking and lackluster launch happen due to marketing
>Notch shits on it
>Threads start popping up left and right about issues
>3 other anons

Being shit is also a characteristic of most of their games from the past ~15 years

I remember when the PS4/Xbones were fucking up, but it passed.

Is the damage too bad for the Switch?

it seems as if you didn't know Sup Forums user, yes a few user just posting and reposting can make it seem like this.

Hell some people in Sup Forums kept shiting on Neptunia threads constantly until a mod called them out saying that it was just 1 guy who was constantly shitposting it all day

underrated post

>Got a 3ds and hacked it because anons said the library is great
>Play some of their first party stuff like smash, mario kart, mario party and paper mario sticker star
>It's hot garbage
>Start playing the third party stuff instead
>It's fucking incredible

Between this and shit like #FE, star fox zero and how disappointing breath of the wild is I just don't know what to think.
Seriously, what the fuck happened?

Link to thread/mod post? That sounds pretty funny.

You grew up

>play first party games with shittier versions on 3DS

What did you expect? Every game you listed besides SS was made more for the Wii U than the 3DS. Not defending it but you must be fucking retarded to think those are the best first party games.

The rate at which PS4 controllers degraded was overblown somewhat. It was a problem but you really had to be rough with them.
Xbone didn't really have any widespread issues.

Meanwhile the switch has serious design issues that need a straight up hardware revision to fix.

>TORtanic
>???
>Google TORtanic

Oh shit. I was marooned on a 360 at the time. I played KotoR to DA:A, missed out on everything not Mass Effect afterwards. If you combine TORtanic with Mass Effect 3 and the linearity of DA II then... Fuck, Bioware is pretty shitty.

Hope they don't fuck me on the 21st.

This has to legitimately be the weakest console launch to date. What games did it have besides BotW?

Yes because mine bricked after a day. I got a new one though.

>Joycons don't work
Yes they do.

>Joycons Break
No they don't unless you're retarded

>The consoles are bricking
Mine hasn't

>Massive graphic and audio glitching
[citation needed]

>The dock scratches the switch screen quickly
Seven dollar screen protector

People to this day still shit on the poor build quality of the DS4.

No I just picked stuff at random.
I can't get into pokemon anymore, and people were discussing those titles a lot so I just gave them a shot.

The majora's mask and OoT remakes along with Link between worlds are the only 1st party games I've enjoyed so far.

Are the star fox 64 and Kid Icarus remakes any good? Maybe I'll give kirby a shot.

Not him but what screen protector are you using

they are monitors that offer a zero death pixels warranty(professional and ultrasharp dells for example). Although the definition of death pixels might vary and the warranty might be shorter than the Amazon return policy.

Yes, and the tv manufacturers do the same thing to people.

Let me just allow you to crap all over nintendo though, that's all Sup Forums does. Sup Forums is waiting for this company to die and has been for 14 years. It hasn't yet.

The one licensed by Nintendo, not sure what the manufacturer is. Works just fine, bubbles were a bitch but you can easily remove them with a credit card or something.

>tfw ever since chad daddy told you to stay abap you stayed abap
i did it guys

Last time i checked all stores had a few days of dead pixel refund/warranty policy here for monitors and tvs

They're kind of smart in that launching their shitty version this early probably means they can get the issues fixed for the production run they do for Christmas.

But it also means they're pushing away the core crowd again which means it's going to be another irrelevant console with no games.

Sup Forums hasn't even existed for 14 years nigger

Do you people even live in the same world as everyone else?

I've been getting out more recently and I've found out how absolutely retarded you all are and that spending too much time online makes you some sort of know it all who doesn't actually know anything.

>Should not be considered a defect
That's for the courts to decide, Ninty.

I reckon I'll just get Zelda on the Wii U.
