I really wish they turned the tropes for fucking ONCE and made the protagonist a young Ganondorf with his triforce of power that has to ally with a young Link and his triforce of Courage to take down a scheming, evil, out of control princess abusing the Triforce of Wisdom to take over the realm. Fuck, it's a basic writing technique to subvert shit, they didn't think about doing this ONCE.

This, WW Ganondorf had a lot of chances to kill Link and Zelda. He acted like a gentleman when he captured Zelda and pushed link to find a suitable weapon to fight him when he first encounters him.
Furthermore, he only wanted a decent land and life for his desertbound people, Gerudo were being punished for deeds made by his past incarnations while everyone else was thriving.
