Playing shooters and fighting games on controllers

>Playing shooters and fighting games on controllers

Pad players win fighting tourneys all the time

Smash Bros isn't a fighting game.

>fighting games NOT on controllers

lmaooooooooo

Enjoy being unable to do combo inputs and losing a lot I guess.

a pad player just won capcom cup

sticks and hitboxes are also controllers m8

and nuckledu literally won the last capcom cup

Plenty of BB and GG players use pad and do really well.

>fighting
>w/o controller

Not sure if bait or genuine retardation.

>playing racing games on keyboard and mouse

meh

>SFV
>Weebshit fighters

you're one sad, sorry little shitter.

Not as sad as the people who play anime '''''fighting''''' games.

What's your favorite fighting game?

I play both shooters and fighting games on a controller. It's fun.

I like Marvel vs. Capcom!

The last good one.

he doesn't play fighting games

>playing shooters on pc

>posts the dreamcast version
LMAO called it

Looks like a visual mess to me. Just can't get behind it.

It's fun, but the balancing is completely and utterly fucked.
>Chun vs Sean
Have fun with that, little guy.

I'm sorry the Dreamcast came out before you were born but it's not my fault that you're underage.

the dreamcast port is also the worst port by far lmao

According to who? You?

according to people that actually play 3rd strike. considering it's closer to a revision of the arcade version that literally nobody plays because it gimped already mediocre characters, it also has other game changing differences that are far more significant than the slightly faster speed of the ps2 port, street fighter anniversary collection version and the later xbox 360/ps3 ports which were based off of a combination of ps2 and arcade to try and pull of a closer-to-arcade-perfect experience.

Marvel's great. Really captures the spirit of fighting as a spectacle.

Not too many games make you feel like fighting is a really special thing to watch.

The fuck are you on? DC got all the best ports.

DC's port of marvel 2 is the best, not sure about CvS2 since i've only ever played with people that owned it on ps2. all i know is that CvS2EO is the worst version of the game.

I just don't think it's for me, man. Shit already gets visually confusing in BBCF for me sometimes fucking Nine and Izanami and I every time I try to watch MvC2/3 gameplay, my brain just checks out.

Lmao okay kid, don't name any specific details or anything, just call the port shit because your e-celeb friends said it was.

well lets see, removes urien's sa3 unblockables, oro's sa2 unblockables, genei jin functions completely differently, cancellable frames on normals changed but none of this matters to you since you've never actually touched the game

Well the second game is hard to follow. I was talking about the first game, since MVC2 is really just a bad game overall. Half of the sprites are reused and none of the game balance from the last three games seem to have made it to MVC2.

MVC3 is okay though, even if it is a little unbalanced.

>Removes unbllockables
Oh no it makes the game more balanced, what horror.

keep proving you know literally nothing about the game :^)

console shooters have easymode left trigger auto target right trigger shoot, make them swap to kb/and mouse and watch them struggle with concepts like aiming. im no pro player but i had a go at the old cod4 on xbox and it was easy as piss no aiming required.

been on fighting games for a long time, pad over stick any day, but then again i lost month of time on the old streetfighter alpha games, and the shitton of other capcom fighters on the old ps1

Whatever fag, keep losing to arcade stick players on every real fighting game.

arcade sticks are controllers you fuckin mongoloid, go find a better way to make a shitposting thread you downie fuck

>Calls other people downies
>Is too stupid to play on a real controller.
So this is the SFV audience...whoah...

i play on stick retard, it's still a controller. what else would you call it lmfao

>playing fightan on keyboard

there are numerous advantages to playing fighting games on anything but a controller.

on most arcade sticks, the pcb connects directly to the input, allowing you to do most of the regular inputs at some inconvenience. if you try and do something like qcf on an arcade stick or controller you'll realize almost immediately you have to input the whole motion for it to come out, whereas on a keyboard the motion can sometimes be supplied implicitly without ever pressing down+forward.

also on a keyboard, you can press two polar directions as the same time, while on pads and sticks, you can only move in one of eight directions at the same time, giving you a lot more freedom in execution barriers and strategies. it's just a more free way to enjoy fighting games, especially if you like to debug/glitch or do anything intensive with them.

the #1 fighting game tournament $$$ earner is some kid with a controller

...

As much as I agree with you on that, it's how I started learning how to play fighting games. I've moved on to using a Hitbox controller because it's what I am most comfortable with.

>he fell for "you need an arcade stick to be good at fighting games" meme that was made by arcade stick companies
old players only use those because they played a lot in the arcades and that's what they're comfortable with

just use whatever you're comfortable with unless it's melee

you melee fucks need to start using those hitboxes so your hands don't explode

low level melee players who don't care about being high level need not apply

There's nothing wrong with zither of those. Unless the shooter is counter strike or something, but a game like D44m is great on ps4.

Meanwhile top tiers stomp on them even harder. Much balance huh?

>none of the game balance from the last three games seem to have made it to MVC2
It wouldn't even matter anyway, because god tiers in MvC2 just plainly benefit from the system changes and old balance just means Storm and Mag would be even stronger.
