How did Nintendo end up with the best fighting game release since Third Strike Online?
Best fightan is USF4. Perfect balance of defensive and offensive mechanics, with braindead vortex nerfed severely and strong skill-based comboabilities adding counterplay to braindead rushdown. Great, huge cast of characters with unfathomable diversity in playstyles.
In 5 or 10 years, USF4 will be regarded as the greatest fighting game of all time. Unimaginable depth, great balance, and more characters and playstyles than you'll ever learn, truly this is one game you can play forever and still learn about.
Looks like ass
Chun-li looks cute on this cover
>implying elena
>implying rolento
>implying poison
fuck ultra
>black guy on the cover
jesus f*cking christ why is everything so progressive these days
>screwing with the mechanics and balance
>"best"
OK I will give you Elena. She is fucking retarded and the only broken downright broken, ban-worthy character.
Rolento's gimmicks can be outplayed (standing while blocking roll can make it punishable).
Poison is totally fine.
>Throw techs included and half the roster cut
But hey, have fun giving Ryu green skin I guess.
SF is slow and boring af
>half the roster cut
u wot m8
The Old mode characters.
>Sagat's jaw
Jesus lord
In English?
You've never played SSF2T, have you? Each character had two modes. The "New" mode, i.e. the one that had Supers and throw techs and new/rebalanced moves etc., and the "Old" mode, which played like they did in the previous game, SSF2. This release drops the Old mode characters, just like HD Remix did, essentially cutting your roster options in half.
>In 5 or 10 years, USF4 will be regarded as the greatest fighting game of all time.
Bahahahahahaha! Almost as delusional as the Smashfags.
Who's missing?
Cummy is looking good too, behind that logo.
Did USF4 get so well liked and popular because SFV was terrible?
That helped, but I think it's pretty much because of online, before SFIV, fighting games were party games to the vast majority.
I remember the days when this game was mocked universally for the butt ugly Udon sprites, but I guess all problems are suddenly fixed now by being on a Nintendo console.
fucking kek, it's using the hd remix sprites?
Looks good to me, Famicom.
But.... it's a port of the half decade old XBLA game which costs 5x less. Both have horrible """HD""" sprites.
This is a horrible cash-grab, why the fuck are you happy about it? It's also locked behind ANOTHER $70 purchase, the Pro Controller, if you want to play it with a D-pad.
Also a LOT of other fighting games are coming out this year, why would you want to play this specific version of SF2 (again) ?
SF2U on Switch is just as shit, overpriced, underwhelming and sold on desperation alone (since they know Switch owners barely have anything else of that genre to play) as BombermanR is compared to previous MUCH better Bomberman games, especially the GBC/GBA ones, or for a more direct comparison the better and cheaper XBLA game (huh, funny that, Both SF2U and Bomberman had better/equal and cheaper versions released a generation ago)
Anyway if you're a fighting game fan you ought to own a PS4
>Moody Ryu and Aggravated Ken players
I don't know if I even want to bother when Sagat, maybe fourth most played character, is the closest I have to a main in it.
I suck with the third most played, for reference.
t. 09er
shill/bait thread
ignore
Includes both modes apparently. All switch demo units I saw were using the HD sprites though.
Not him, but you're missing his point, even if his point is retarded anyway.
In SSF2T you could choose 2 versions of each character, one identical to his SF2 version, and one with supers, throw techs, and rebalanced move set.
Considering the difference between the 2 version changes the way you use the character a lot, many considered each version of one character almost as a separate character.
Since in this version you can't choose the SF2 versions, "half" roster is missing.
TL;DR
>Who's missing?
Everyone in their SF2 version.
i bought this game on ps3 for 2 bucks, dunno why they would make it 40$ this time
Looks like a pretty lazy *port to me. Boxart is nice though.
*20 year old Arcade game
It did, but you posted the wrong one
>the greatest fighting game
>when pic related and Melee exist.
Can't wait to see the Switch version BTFO USF2 so fucking hard.
