HORIZON ZERO DAWN OUTSOLD ZELDA BOTW

>Sony and Nintendo battled it out - Horizon: Zero Dawn vs. Zelda: Breath of the Wild - but there was only ever going to be one winner when it came to sales.

>Despite Switch's solid launch, Horizon: Zero Dawn was always odds-on favourite to win this week's chart rundown simply because of the huge number of PlayStation 4 consoles already in people's homes.

>But the amount Horizon sold? It did very well indeed.

>Horizon is Sony's biggest new franchise launch on PS4 - a title previously held by No Man's Sky. It's also the biggest PS4 launch in general since Uncharted 4.

lol

>both didn't even hit a million

Pathetic

>Horizon is Sony's biggest new franchise launch on PS4 - a title previously held by No Man's Sky.

The comparison is apt.

>biggest new franchise launch on PS4 - a title previously held by No Man's Sky

Kek.

Switch is ludicrously overpriced as fuck in many parts of the world. It's fucking $650-$800 in some parts of Southeast Asia.

NOOOOOOOOOOO! (((SJW))) GAMES DONT SELL!!!

>New IP outsells newest game is decades old franchise made by a gaming legend

Nintendo should fucking ashamed at how low they've fallen.

Man where are all the pictures of Aloy's armpits? Seriously.

I know there is a photo mode or some shit.

>Fucking Vita exclusives have sold better than PS4's "franchise launches"

No wonder the only good PS4 games are Vita ports.

I, for one, welcome our new androgynous hero

This is a UK sales chart btw

The UK where the PS4 has a roughly 50 times larger install base than the Switch currently

...

it's uncanny.....

You can't see her armpits at all.

KEK

I have friends who've been asking me about my PS4 because they're thinking about buying one for Horizon.
Every time I tell them that they should look at Nioh and Nier Automata and I always get that "What? Never heard of em. I just saw a crazy commercial for Horizon though!"

My game is still better and most people who own a ps4 have shit taste, nothing new under the sun

Not a sexist, I have a lot of respect for women, but controlling a female character just ruins the immersion for me. I still don't understand why they would make an open world role playing video game and not allow us to customize or at least pick from a variety of characters.

Again, no offence against women, I have a lot of lady friends myself but this is just how I feel about this particular game.

>nipples
What is this sorcery?

Because the game is story heavy like Gravity Rush

Think about it for a moment. The market is saturated with ps4s, anyone who wants horizon zero dawn can play it, this is not the case with the switch and Zelda. This is likely to skew the numbers Significantly. Look at lifetime sales in a year if you want an actual comparison.

No fucking shit. I posted this screenshot last week. Horizon is BTFO'ing Zelda so hard it gives me a boner (I'm a PCfat without any consoles)

I always wondered what those scheming Japs thought about Western vidya. Now that an extremely Western production actually sells there it would be nice to read some impressions.

Do they even have reviews or do they buy new MH and DQ based on the name alone?

>Established platform with a monumentally larger install base moves more copies than a system that just came out, despite literally every single person with said system buying it's game to the point where retailers actually ran out of copies.

WOOOOOOW

Joking and shitposting aside though, Zelda will probably have more longetivity and move more units by the actual end of the Switch's run. No one will remember or be playing Horizon in a few months.

Until the inevitable cash-In sequel of course, because the game was definitely a success both critically and monetarily despite how bland it is.

The world has certainly ingredients for more varied gameplay.

There are several different melee weapons from axes and warhammer to stunbatons and exploding lances straight out from 40k. The most common man made heavy weapon is a tube filled with fireworks and they could add shields too.
