I'm still skeptical about that map. I know the nerds on GTAforums came to the conclusion it is real and accurate, but theres something about it that seems very off.

I honestly think this game will have literally no connection to RDR in terms of characters.

Probably. It'll at least give Zelda a run for its money and most likely even outperform it since Rockstar has way more experience with open world games than Nintendo does.

John, Dutch, Landon in the same game makes no sense in addition with a new protagonist. Either they're telling two different or even three stories simultaneously. I doubt rock star would go that far

That's stupid, there's no reason to fuck up the story of the previous game by forcing two characters together that otherwise wouldn't have known each other. Plenty of other gunslingers existed.

What's wrong with it is that it came out recently

The game itself is excellent : Graphically, content-wise, the world feels alive and for each details removed from GTA 4 (like Euphoria which has been nerfed for performance purpose) they added a better one to make it even more immersive. The game has some story flaws, notably for franklin, and i think it has gone wayy too far with the "american satire" shit, i wish it was goofy and serious both like san andreas and vice city which, in themselve, were american satire but the satire was well made and not put in your face every minute. Especially the hollywood star cliche.

The game itself. However.. Rockstar policy on it is the one thing we are all supposed to hate. Their shark card policy and inflation of the ingame price to make it harder and longer to grind money is horrendous.

Horizon and Zelda have both spectacularly failed, and are completely dog shit games. But to be extremely honest, RDR2 doesn't stand a chance against either of them.

The best game ever made already exists and came out this year. BotW will take some beating for years to come, the bar has been set for the first time ever and I dont think a GTA clone is going to be the one to trump it.

That was when people didn't realise how screwed up development was. People also thought it could be remastered for ps4/xbone but it couldn't due to engine and script issues.

They learnt with GTA V they can release it 3 times and people will buy the ps3 ps4 and PC versions. Embarrassingly they got me with that one.

my opinion is that they could have made ONE fucking solid story, rather than 3 meh stories. Aka i'd rather have fleshed out Trevor for 30 hours rather than Franklin, Michael and Trevor for 10 each. Also the map is boring. Other than that it's great. Absolutely a good GTA, but San Andreas set a standard and i feel like they just changed the standard rather than try to beat the standard.

Rockstar have released one game in this decade (2010 isn't this decade) and it was delayed and GTA Online didn't even get turned on for another two weeks, and then the PC release was delayed also.

Rockstar will delay this if they need to. Who knows though.
