Ah fuck D2, it was such a garbage sequel. Even killed all the interesting characters like Ibuki, while shitty edgy manchild Yakuza heir gets out scot free.

>it was such a garbage sequel.
It blows the first one out of the water.

>interesting characters like Ibuki

Clearly you didn't get to know anything about her. The only interesting think about Ibuki is her appearance.

it does absolutely everything better. it also picks its theme of "video game within a video game" and sticks to it in every single little detail so props for that as well.

I want to put my peepee in her veevee desu senpai

Worst twist in the game, how I was supposed to figure it out?

>She put gravel inside a swimsuit and used it as a bludgeon, that's the murder weapon :p

I like DR2, but some of those are really nonsensical.

it's infamous for stumping people. people also complain about "meat on the bone" but i don't get what's complex about that at all

>Loli is cleared of all suspicions because the gummy on the floor at the crime scene does not match the brand she is usually eating.

The swimsuit was stated to be missing.
Why? Because it got blood on it.
And why would it get blood on it? Because it was used as murder weapon.

Not hard to figure out. You just had to be paying attention to the case.

implying her personality wasn't great

She's literally PENGUIN Of DoOm XD in a character form

Her personality was "lol so randumb" and "pay attention to me" with nothing else to it.

>Yakuza heir gets out scot free
His bodyguard got executed and he lost an eye. He even admits he's been a dick to everybody which is why he slits his stomach.

Also, Fuyuhiko's real personality when he isn't trying to live up to his role as a Yakuza heir is a pure and good boy, not suited for the criminal lifestyle.

It's a pretty dumb twist though, and just shows that the writer feels the need to one-up the retarded twist in every game
>hmmmmmm AHA IT'S ALL A TV SHOW

>Yakuza heir is a pure and good boy, not suited for the criminal lifestyle.
Go back to tumblr

I think most people knewwhat it was, it's just that "meat on the bone" is such awkward wording.

it's not an original twist no but there's a lot of foreshadowing towards the whole thing. it just embraces the fact that it's a video game and does things only this medium can do which is something i always enjoy

>People ACTUALLY couldn't figure out that that swimsuit was used as the murder weapon
Why are DRfags such babies?

That's literally the characterization Fuyuhiko got after the third trial.

>It says here you are a "Japanese mystery visual novel connoisseur"... care to tell me a little about that, user?

is it a british term or something? i've heard it used before, enough for it to be the first thing i thought of when i saw all the words

wait 'till you reach "camera angeru"

Thinking outside of "logical" explanations are missions of fool's and geniuses.

However, the most logical thing to do in front of Saionji is to bully her, of course. I want to scold her to tears and throw her into pool. I want to take her gummies and eat them in front of her. Then I'll force-feed her with lemon-flavored gummies, palm after palm. I want to call her a stinky and take her panties so she has to going commando for the rest of the trip. I want to mock her inability to put her kimono by herself, so I'll strip her every once in a while, yelling what one day, she'll be glad to be able to dress up herself. Also, I'll take her kitty hairpins, making her long blonde hair cover her private parts. And when I'll give kimono back to her, I'll make sure to put Mr. Ants in every single pleat and Mr. Crab in her panties.

And when finally she snaps and try to bully me by any means possible, I'll spank her in front of everyone until she'll like it. And when she'll come to me, begging for another spanking, I'll mock her again, then spank her as if my life depends on it, laughing on her moans full of pleasure. Mere seconds before her climax, I'll throw her into pool once again, leaving her in her aroused state.

>Even killed all the interesting characters like Ibuki
Ibuki was absent for entire episodes of the the DR3 Despair-side anime and no one even noticed, that's how interesting she is. Her in-game personality is literally that no one pays attention to her too.

>Even killed all the interesting characters
>He doesn't know about DR3.

Speedplayer. They keep suspecting her until the "can't change clothes in the beach house" thing comes up.

Hello Bully-kun. How did you like DRv3? How would you rank its characters as bullying material?

>AA below Zero Escape

While not avoiding spoilers at all, I don't spoil myself on purpose either. For being able to classify every student, I need to know everything about them, not just their actions in the game, but also their backstory, their favorite presents, their interactions. It's only truly possible by playing the game by yourself.

To me, the game sounds very promising

Guess you'll have to wait until September.

Because the bone was what the weapon came out of. "Meat on the bone" implies meat is the subject of the phrase, while the more awkward "on the meat bone" at the very least implies the bone is the subject.

>AA above Zero Escape

Much quicker than I would expect, I thought it would be a full year of waiting.

So, what were your thought on the plot twist on the first and last chapter?

Umineko is trash too. I'm glad that Ryukishi is failing in life.

...

I was pleasantly surprised Kodaka had the balls to kill off the MC in the first chapter. Since I don't know Kaede as a character, it didn't really mean anything to me and thus didn't activate the raging autism.

As for the last chapter, well, why not. Danganronpa games aren't liked for their ending but for their murder mysteries and characters.

>I'm glad that Ryukishi is failing in life.
For better or worse all of his shit constantly sells out. I dunno why people always default to "he's not financially doing well now which means he's shit!" when talking about him, even if it were true it doesn't really have anything to do with what's being talked about.

Hell you can pretty easily objectively call Umineko trash without mentioning sales at all.

it's like you literally didn't do his FTE in which he thinks he isn't up for the role to lead his yakuza clan. He even fucking says his sister would be a better leader.

>that line where you're supposed to pick up "killer's mistake" and fire it at "camera angle"
How the FUCK was ANYONE supposed to figure that out

THIS SHIT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO STUMP YOU
"PUTTING SMALL SHIT TOGETHER TO CREATE A HEAVY BLUNT WEAPON" IS LITERALLY BABBYS FIRST MURDER MYSTERY WEAPON

FUCKING HELL THE FIRST GAME HAD SOMEONE GET WHACKED OVER THE HEAD WITH A BUNCH OF ARROWS TAPED TOGETHER

It's more that literally everything else in the scene presented makes more sense as a weapon than what the weapon actually was.

Possibly, but gven that you could only present a very finite number of things in that argument, you should have figures this out rather quickly.

>if you think you died, you die

>if you think you lost an eye, you lose it in real life

Because Hajime literally never mentioned the camera angle.

I had to retry before I figured it out, I feel like such a cretin.

But how the fuck did Satou come up with the idea to use it as a weapon?
>oh shit I choked this bitch and she fainted I better kill her before she wakes up
>I know I'll stuff my swimsuit with gravel
DR3 portrayed her dumber than she actually was, it seems.

Such as? The fish tank? The piano?

DR2 had worse executions.

The culprit used the piano to play a song that disturbed the cosmos or some shit and caused Natsumi's death.

JUNKO BTFO

Only because 2-3 and 2-4 were such disappointments. 2-2 and 2-5 were great.

The only thing I liked about first one is the atmosphere, it was dark and gripping.

I liked both games, but I think that the first one is more interesting in terms of characters and story while the second one has way more complicated mysteries and better gameplay.

>"Improved" Hangman's Gambit

The cast of 1 is shit compared to the cast of 2.

I liked the wildness that DR1 became as I got closer to the end, and it was pretty good, considering that I never fully commit to games like this and Ace Attorney. However, I can't really get into DR2. I gave up after beating the first case, mainly due to the fact that the new features in class trials and their resolution, coupled with the whole level up system that happens outside of things, just felt bloating and unnecessary.

>had the balls
>when it was predicted months beforehand

Let me guess, you love shallow characters like Junko, Aoi and Celestia

No, he didn't have an eye because he was the guy who replaced his eye with Junko's.

Best way to improve Hangman's Gambit is to remove it

levels mean virtually nothing mate

this isn't too bad I guess, I prefer the old one somehow but th-
>two letters spawn in a corner and immediately explode
Oh

2-5>2-4=2-1>2-2>2-6=2-3

it determines the number of skills you can equip doesn't it? Not that anyone actually needs them

Better good moments, worse boring ones. More extreme, and it pays off

>umineko
>good

DR3 is non-canon.

I liked how the characters were trying to fight back in DR1. In DR2, they all just went along with everything.

>Interesting characters like Ibuki

Honestly, waifu fags need to be shot. There was nothing interesting about her. She didn't do fucking anything but provide random humorous reactions to events.

Her ONLY significant impact on the story was her death. You could remove her entirely and all that would change is the case 3 murder circumstances.

I'm pretty sure that the DR2 kids replaced limbs or organs with the ones from Junko.
Hence Nagito with his hand.
Fuyuhiko with his eye.
Mikan and her uterus or some shit like that because "despair junko is love"

So does the game get any less shit story wise after the first trial?

Kyoko is cute.

I love Twilight Sparkle!

...

Play DR1 for the story. Play the sequels for the characters.

Hi.

Hi.

It was improved in the Japanese version for what it's worth. When it was localized all the english words used were longer than the originals and/or had more characters, while everything else about the minigame was kept the same. Which meant that you had to do way more than what the designers originally intended and it turned into a complete clusterfuck.

>I liked how the characters were trying to fight back in DR1
Most of the cast weren't trying to fight back at all though. Byakuya and Kyoko did, largely off-screen, and Chihiro bullshitted Alter Ego together. Those were the only major instances of it.

Hell DR2 gets complaints about the shit DR1 gets praised for half the time, in both games fighting back leads to characters getting killed but only DR2's characters are called dumb for it for some reason.

The story in both DR1 and DR2 is terrible.

>tfw I can't participate in any dangan threads until september
Why don't mods ban untagged spoilers? Thankfully I haven't been spoiled yet
