Why does Nintendo never create new games? They literally just release new versions of the 90s games
Why does Nintendo never create new games? They literally just release new versions of the 90s games
Why do we never create new technology? We literally just release new versions of things.

man, i own all of the consoles needed to play these games, and sony has a larger library of games and some great ones.
but these boxarts just make sony games look like generic trash
not an argument
>7th gen Sony stopped being good
Thanks for reminding me.
because all the games in the left flopped hard
companies will not invest again in dead franchises
>crash
>spyro
>God of Square
>Ratchet n Clank
>Unfarted
>flopped
I actually wish Uncharted flopped so ND could make fun platformers and kart racing games again instead of generic chest high wall shooter movie games.
...
xD
>sony titles were so shit the franchise died one after the other
>nintendos franchises are so successful they keep on adding titles while also reinventing them every gen
it is actually, all the new games are rehashes of all games in the genre
>>>/neogaf/
Nice cherrypicking
fucking this

Because you're not buying them. Same reason Sony stopped making good games.
>why do successful franchises with a history of being lauded and being bestsellers keep getting more games?
Gee user, I could never imagine why.
This post is the poster child for false equivalency
Not one of those games are actually developed by Sony.
Preferable to Sony just abandoning the shit out of all their franchises to chase the newest shitty trends
also you can't talk shit about Nintendo when there's a Crash trilogy remake in development and its literally just the same games with different graphics
>sonybros mad their favourite franchises didn't maintain the level of quality they started with
What else is new?
>Sony-ggers is changed to Sonybros
What the fuck happened in here while i was away?
SotC also had an HD remake. So did God of Ware. Hell, even Uncharted had HD remakes. So much for not rehashing.
Turns out everyone does it, because it sells.
Why do some people act like they never make/fund new IPs? Splatoon and Wonderful 101 was just last gen, and they're already starting off with Arms this year.
because they 100% pander to their Japanese audience first and foreign audiences second, just like with anime.
They know they can get away with releasing Mario Party 15 and Mario Kart 20 because Japanese culture is obsessed with new stuff. They take consumerism to a whole new level as a country. You will never see a Japanese person actually buy anything 2nd hand. You'll never see a Japanese person fix something that's broken or buy something that's slightly outdated.
Nintendo will be around forever because as long as Japan exists they'll always have 120million people that will buy the same shit every 3 years.
t. Lived in Japan 10 years.
Now show off the 8th gen where it's more Uncharted and Infamous garbage.
...
Seriously? I got the exact opposite impression. Elaborate?
Japan is a relatively small market though. If you look at trends, look at America, the largest video game market in the world. That's where everyone turns their eyes and that's the audience they pander too. Look at how westernized Sony has become these past two generations, when during the 6th gen they hit a great balance and spread over a global audience with varying tastes.
Nintendo is very much not catering to the Japanese.
The company's basically bitches to Miyamoto since his early successes in the 70s and 80s. He's basically too old to be creative or tuned to the times, so he just forces the rest of the talent to slave away pumping out new tired versions of his babbies, ensuring his own immortality
I agree, how could they fuck up so bad? Not a single decent first party game since the PS3 came out.
>Captain Rainbow
The only time this meme game is brought up is when trying to inflate Nintendo's new IP count. It's pretty hilarious though.
Triggered.
I'll admit Nintendo didn't come up with a lot of new stuff for the Wii, and I didn't want to include portable games in it.
Did you buy Codename STEAM and Wonderful 101?
Not him but portable games should count too. Gravity Rush is a new IP and it started off as a Vita game.
Only 3 of those games are actually developed by Nintendo though.
Because they're good games that could be made better by new technology and ideas?
They easily could've made Sunshine or WW a new IP but what difference does it honestly make?
>Sony
>"new" of all people
Even as a PS1/2-fag, I know near-everything they produce is just a 1up of existing ideas, hardware-included. It just went from platformers and RPG's to shooters and movies (weebshit-aside) because M$ successfully transitioned the media into normie-exploitation territory.
The major difference between them and Nintendo is that the latter decided to repeatedly copy itself instead, only now having swallowed the open-world meme.
It wouldn't have sold over a couple of hundred thousand if they did that.
>Why does Nintendo not move away from its incredibly successful business practice? They literally just release insanely profitable new versions of the insanely profitable 90s games
people became pussified. Same reason you see people saying drawfriends rather than drawfags.
Nintendos games are the same thing every gen.
Sony knows how to diversify their portfolio
Of all the IPs, you chose the worst one to set as an example. Fucking waifufags.
>Sony knows how to diversify their portfolio
t. Asshurt Sonyggèr
Ape Escape and Shadow of The Colossus. Arguably God of War too.
I can't tell if this picture is anti-sony, anti-nintendo or anti-7th gen
So there you go. It's basically for brand recognition. Same reason R* called it Red dead redemption 2
