I'm picking the game up. I don't normally like overly depressing stories, but I can make an exception every now and then.

What went so right?

I've only play the demo, but holding light gives you a different attack not a taunt.

I got the jap version and while I don't think it's the greatest game ever made I can say with no doubt that Nier: Automata is easily one of my favorite games of all time. Game was fucking excellent from start to finish.

They're all great Japanese games released very recently. Who the hell looks at that and immediately thinks about which ones are console-exclusive or whatever the fuck?

So, I am having a hard time deciding between preordering for PC or just wait for discounts. Can I get some help?

I am hesitating because right now I am busy with alot of things to even play most of the time and questioning if the preorder bonuses are worth of it or not

They're all good Japanese games being released somewhat together in the West. Also none of them is a PS4 exclusive, Zelda is Nintendo exclusive P5 is on the PS3 and NieR is on PC so the reason they're grouped together isn't console war shit.

Depends on how you're deciding what the best is, they've made better combat systems but I can see why people might say this in terms of the overall game.

It's the best Platinum game in terms of anything other than gameplay, sure.

Is the combat in Nier as easy as the demo? I was able to just cheese counter all the way through and barely ever get hit which happens a lot in Platinum games.

There's many moves (not to mention bullets in general) that you can't just spam evade through (you can still evade, but you have to pay attention) and can very likely oneshot you if you're on hard. The big cheesing mechanic is using Overclock chips to slow time for 5.5 seconds when you perfect evade.

Not sure about PS4 but on Xbone if you buy a digital copy, you pretty much get two copies. One for your profile and one for the console you set as "home."

So potentially you can split the price with a friend if you have one, I just share multiplayer games with my brother.

and you can share it with someone who's console you're connected with, so you essentially get two copies of the game when you go digital.

On bone I could potentially understand it because of the whole Windows 10 thing, but that has limited availability. I'm talking specifically PC and PS4 though because no one owns a bone.
